This place is the BOMB for Thai! We got it to go and food was still warm when we got home. All three of us got different main dishes and my Thai Fried Rice with Beef was easily the best I have had anywhere, period! The Chicken Spring Rolls were, again, the best I've ever had as were the Pot Stickers which were deep fried, not the gooey-style ones you normally get. Wow! For mains we got pad Thai with chicken and green curry with tofu and extra veggies. The pad Thai was a bit underwhelming and likely would not reorder, but the curry was packed with flavor and veggies. This is probably one of the best Thai restaurants that I have tried in Colorado. Everything we had was just super flavorful and tasty. The proportions are a good size and everything was yummy. We ordered a variety from pad Thai noodles to the soup to a salad. It was a nice mix of food options. We ordered everything at a mild spice level which was enough for us. You can feel some heat but it wasn't overbearing to the point where you're in pain. So probably like a 2 in heat ranking. The coconut soup was flavorful. I think it would've tasted just fine without tofu or any protein options. The sticky rice was also well cooked. You honestly can't go wrong with anything here. I understand the hype and if you're in the Broomfield area, it is definitely worth it to try. Inside is simple and casual. It may look a little sketchy outside but it's clean and wonderful inside. It was packed with veggies and chicken. The flavor was perfect (got the no spice) but it was a little more runny than I've had before. They offer a full menu, and you can tailor your dish in many ways imaginable, such as a choice of protein item, spice level, things to add for a reasonable nominal charge, and quite a comprehensive list of "no" items to omit. Glad they have returned after being temporarily closed while they were on vacation. Location is great, not far from the Hwy 36 and Wads/287 intersection, good parking. Colorado has been failing us lately when it comes to Thai food but Mountain Thai Kitchen has made me a believer again! This is a no frills local place that seems to have a huge following with their take out and dine in game, this place was busy on a Saturday night but thankfully there were a couple tables opened. You order at the counter, get a number then wait for the food to come out. Everything was delicious! We started with Tom Kha Soup (Medium spice with chicken) and ended Mango Sticky Rice with Pad Thai in the middle. The pad Thai was sooooo wonderful but I was having FOMO so I ordered a drunken noodles to go and as expected, it was delicious a few days later although I was sad that it only included three pieces of beef when we ordered it with beef. Unfortunately, it's a bit of a drive for us, but I think this place is worth an occasional trip to get our fix. We ordered the pumpkin curry with chicken, pad see ewe with chicken, drunken noodle with beef, and spring rolls--everything but the appetizer was mild+. Personally, I could go for a medium spice level next time, but one person in our party thought the mild+ was spicy. Everything was so delicious and the portions were generous. We ended up taking some food home and had some leftovers this morning. Yum! The service was also great, which only added to our positive dining experience. I have spent easily several months throughout Thailand, and Mountain Thai is authentic and well made Thai cuisine. I'm so happy my family and I visited this past weekend. Service was quick during a busy time. The crab Rangoon's (technically an American invention) were outstanding. The drunken noodles and pineapple rice were great as well. Price seems standard for this area. Perhaps slightly expensive where I live full time, but the quality is superb so I didn't mind. Folks inside were happy and enjoyed their food. I don't recall seeing Thai beer, but that would be a nice plus. read more

Even when they forgot about my Thai Tea the guy behind the counter and I joked about it. We both already had such a long day that it was a such a nice icebreaker since our little dinner group was eating and eating from the moment we got there. The restaurant is fast casual and I would definitely like to see some soundproofing in the future since it does echo a bit. All that goes out the window after you start eating. This is THE BEST Thai I've had in Colorado and I don't even need to second guess my order. The Tom Kha soup, Drunken Noodles and Mango Sticky Rice were all spot on. Whenever, we do not feel like cooking, picked up a flu bug, flew home late or just had a day. My husband and I find ourselves saying, "Mountain Thai?" By now, we've been a dozen times. We've tried multiple noodle dishes, rice dishes and curries. They have all the traditional and favorite Thai dishes you crave. Our top favorites being the Prik Pao Noodles, Basil Eggplant and Massamam Curry. Every dish (even the ones not listed) are filled with authentic Thai flavor, the right amount of heat and fresh produce/protein. They do not skimp on portions, and are great to-go or to be eaten in their restaurant. In fact, we typically use their online platform to order and pick up. It's so easy to use and customize your dishes to your liking. However, if tech isn't your thing, you can always call. We sometimes call and the man who answers / works the register is very friendly. You could even have them deliver it to you (order must be at least $35, one dish typically runs $15 w/ tax). So BIG BIG THANK YOU to the folks at Mountain Thai! The cost is on the lower side compared to most Thai restaurants. The ambiance is a bit lacking, there's maybe 12-14 four person tables. When you consider the the quality of food for the cost is why I gave this place a five star review. The food came out relatively quickly, probably within 15 minutes and the place had multiple customers. Basically you walk in, there's pictures on the wall- once you've decided want you go and order at the cash register, they give you a number & then they will bring you your food. Mountain Thai has been recommended by my family as a place to try in the Broomfield/Westminster area, as flavors seem to be good in addition to the portion sizes being generous. We went on a Wednesday around 6pm for dinner and had no wait time to get seated. The ambience of the restaurant is simple, but cozy with how the layout of the restaurant is presented. The menu is spread out at the front - you first decide what you want, and then you order at the cashier. Seating is first come and first serve - you take a number placard and pick your seat. Service is also nice and fast, we got our food about 10 minutes after we ordered. We got a variety of options, which I'll review down below: Crab Cheese Wontons ($6.50): These were some lightly fried and crispy wontons! There is a decent amount of cream cheese (my order didn't have a lot of imitation crab, but oh well) in the wontons, and it went well with the sweet dipping sauce. They do serve as nice appetizer as pique your appetite. Pad Thai with Chicken ($13.95): A good amount of Pad thai for the price - it's a decently sized plate as you can see here. I got the second level of spice, and that is a subtle amount of spiciness that you can taste. There is a couple pieces of chicken scattered throughout the dish, and there is a nice blend of sour and sweet, and it is complimented by the peanuts. Sticky Rice Mango ($7): I would say that this is an alright dessert in terms of portion, but in terms of flavor, it's tasty! There is a chewy texture and the coconut flavor is subtle and pleasing. The mango provided was also delicious - had a nice tart flavor, complimented the dense chewy rice texture, and helped cut through the creaminess of the coconut sauce. In the end, I spent about $24 for everything you see here. I think Mountain Thai Kitchen is definitely a solid place to visit for a fair price if you are looking for some delicious Thai food in the Broomfield area. I would personally like to revisit this restaurant in the future to try one of their many other options (4.5 stars!) read more

I have driven by this place ever since they were setting it up. I feel like the location where they put it was (previously) cursed because every business that opened up there would close down within a year. Overall, I was excited to have it there even for a second. A Thai place in Broomfield is more than welcome. Today I finally placed my first order and let me tell you, it was hands down the best Thai food I have ever eaten. My family ordered three entrees. We got the pineapple fried rice with pork (medium), cashew chicken (mild), and panang curry with chicken (hot). Every single one of these things were delightful, flavorful in their own way, and it was a great way to try out some different spice levels. Mild - No spice from what I could taste. Medium - the idea of spice was there but no heat Hot - Really good heat, got my nose running. Didn't take away from the flavor and wasn't a chore to eat. I would try Thai Hot here but I am pretty good with spice so maybe only read this as advice if you are the same way. The thing I loved about each of these dishes were how well made they were, ingredient wise. Big chunks of veggies and they were generous with the ingredients that make the specific dishes special. The cashew chicken had LOTS of whole cashews. The pineapple fried rice had big chunks of pineapple. The curry had...delicious curry flavor. Oh yeah, we also had crab cheese wontons. Get this guys...IT HAD CRAB IN THE FILLING. Real imitation (?) crab in the filling. It has been so long since I have seen crab in crab cheese wontons. These were incredible too. I'm not sure what my favorite dish was. I want to go back and try everything on their menu. One last thing was they have super fast service and are very nice. This place should become a Broomfield institution and if you are reading this review and haven't eaten at Mountain Thai, do yourself a favor and eat there ASAP. read more

This is an order at the counter, take a number, seat yourself, they bring your food from the kitchen and then you bus your table or they will bus it for you kind of place. There are pitchers full of water at the counter with plastic drinking glasses that you are encouraged to take to your table. There is music emanating from the kitchen and intended to entertain the folks working in the kitchen. The lobby is fairly sizable with plenty of seating. The setup is efficient and utilitarian. The people working here were quite nice and they were doing some steady business after 2pm on a weekday. I can only imagine how much busier it probably was earlier during conventional lunch hour. We tried the pad thai and the pad see ewe which were both above average with the pad see ewe slightly better to our preferences. The protein servings were generous which made these dishes very filling. Many others dining in the lobby were enjoying the curry which looked great. It is so nice that the Denver metro area has so many more Thai options that are actually good now. This wasn't the case 20 years ago. This stands out as one of the better options for dining in this part of town. It isn't anything fancy but it is a pretty solid place to grab a very good meal. read more

They finally opened up their restaurant, and it did not disappoint. We ordered take out since we were just down the street. It is definitely a neighborhood favorite. Orders took about 45 minutes to make which seems like a long wait but so worth it. I got there a little early, and the orders kept coming for walk ins, over the phone, and online. The restaurant itself is nice and clean. Nothing mood setting. The food was great. We ordered the crab cheese wontons which were big and had imitation crab in it. I got the pad Thai with medium heat, and it definitely had a kick, so if you can't handle Thai spicy I would suggest mild or no spice.
