This food truck turned strip mall joint doesn't have a lot of charm (order at the counter, self-serve to go containers), but it more than makes up for it in friendly service and absolutely banging food. We tried several different things and enjoyed them all. The Grilled Pork Skewers (Moo Ping) is absolutely not to be missed - we wish we'd gotten more than 1 order. The Basil Beef was delightful and exactly what you'd expect. I got the Green Curry "thai hot" and found it spicy without overwhelming the flavor, and particularly enjoyed the inclusion of the small, round, green Thai-eggplant (IMO a tell when separating the contenders from the pretenders in the Thai curry game). When you walk in, you pick what you want, go pay for it, take your number, and then they will bring it out to your table. We ordered 1 chicken satay, 1 chicken drunken noodles no spice, 1 shrimp drunken noodles hot spicy, 1 crab fried rice, 1 half chicken half tofu pad Thai no spice, and 1 tofu red curry no spice. We had some peppers at the table that we can add to our dishes as we like. She couldn't eat too much spicy that's why we opted for no spice. And some of the other foods were to go. Yes, it was a lot of food and we didn't eat it all. I do like that they use real silverware! We agreed to pack the leftovers home. Anyways, all the dishes came out and they all tasted very distinctive, flavorful, authentic, hot, and perfect. All the noodle dishes were not drenched in oil. Crab fried rice was the bomb, must try. Curry was on par. Chicken satay is yummy. Gosh, everything was so scrumptious! You want good authentic Thai food, definitely come here! I'm glad she took us here. we ordered take out last night and had a wonderful experience. we got pad thai and fried rice as the entree as well as the egg rolls, spring rolls and crab rangoons. food was ready in about 30 minutes from pickup time which was fantastic. they were able to make both pad thai and fried rice gluten free which was also amazing. there was. good tofu to noodle ratio and a good chicken to rice ratio. food tasted great and the spring rolls were also very fresh and a good amount for the price. eggs rolls and rangoons were also yummy. the prices overall were also very reasonable, especially for the quality. will definitely be coming back! read more

After hearing so many good things about this place, I had to check it out for myself. After operating as a food truck for the last two years, they now have their own space! It's nice, clean, and comfortable. We tried the crab cheese wontons, chicken egg rolls, and Thai cream puffs. All delicious. They make all of their own sauces and they were paired perfectly. I had the Basil Ribeye Steak which is stir fried chopped ribeye with Thai basil in house sauce served with jasmine rice topped with fried egg and cucumber. I got it mild plus for the spice level and it was just right. The chef said this is her favorite dish. My friend got the chicken Penang curry in level medium. She loved it. We like spice and these levels were hot, but you could still taste the flavors. The chef came out to check on us and treated us with mango sticky rice to finish the meal! So sweet. There is plenty of parking and seating. Lots of people coming in and getting take out. I will def go back to try more of the menu. read more

This is the best place for any Thai. Like this is the only place we take people to when we have visitors. Everything I've ever had from them is pure excellence. We had to impose a no mountain Thai rule earlier this year because we were ordering there too much. That rule was lifted pretty quickly. read more

Mountain Thai Kitchen is a game changer for Thai food! I placed my order over the phone and they were accurate with their timing. This was a cute little spot that was packed and you could tell they had tons of to go orders. When I got there, I added a couple more dishes on and they were prompt in getting these ready for me. I was greeted by the same man who took my ordered and he was wonderfully pleasant, even though it was clear he was a little overwhelmed. The food was still hot after my 35 minute drive home, which was impressive! I truly don't have enough good things to say. We got an assortment of meals -- curries, pad thai, drunken noodles, fried rice and a couple of appetizers. Everything, and I mean everything was on point! The flavors were delicious, the seasonings were perfect and the spice level was as we asked for and expected (most places either spice up or spice down, so it was nice that a medium tasted like a medium compared to the hot). We were also pleasantly surprised by the prices! Definitely less on the pricey side in terms of the quality and quantity of food you get. Sopit makes the best Thai food in the Denver metro area. All her dishes are spot on! Our favorite dishes are the Basil ribeye, crab fried rice, Tom ka and Tom yum soups. She also makes really great curry. I love the papaya salad also ! Such great options! We are regulars and come at least once a week. I'm Thai and visiting from Vegas. I'd say that Mountain Thai Kitchen is the best Thai street food in the U.S. Its flavor is truely authentic and scrumptious. On top of that, they use real hot basil in the dish which really hard to find in other restaurants. They also use both roasted black sesame and white sesame in Mango sticky rice. Just little things like these show to me that the owner and staff put their hearts and skills to craft the foods. read more

What a gem of a Thai restaurant. Ate here for lunch and it was delicious! First time diner, but won't be my last. Simple set up--order from the menu on the wall, the gentleman at the register takes your order and it didn't take but more than 10 minutes to get our order. My colleague had prik pao noodles with fried tofu and I had Penang curry with chicken and tofu. Soooo good! Juts the right amount of spice and the flavor was spot on! No alcohol, but they have water in jugs, plus a refrigerator with cans of soda and bottles of water. Prices are totally affordable. I'm definitely going back and trying other things they offer. I have been in love with Mountain Thai for years when they were operating strictly out of their food truck. I am so excited now that they have a permanent location! We ordered takeout recently and it was such a breath of fresh air. Our usual Thai spot recently switched ownership and unfortunately the food has changed and not to our liking. Mountain Thai has always delivered when it comes to flavor, quality and heat! So I am ecstatic knowing we will be able to go here whenever we have a craving for delicious thai. I am a bit biased when it comes to thai food as I spent quite a bit of time in Thailand. I don't want Americanized thai, I want the real deal and they make that happened. We love the Tom Kha and papaya salad, but you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The heat level is fire!!! My husband and I both like a lot of heat and let me tell you they have it.
