    Falafel and donor sauce
    Kristen A.

First thing I noticed was the place is a bit "bland" and very small in terms of decor and atmosphere. But I appreciate the music selection. That's really the only downside though because the food is kick ass. I got the gyro wrap with traditional toppings and fries . My husband got the beef fry bowl with traditional toppings, added grilled veggies and opted for donor sauce which was delicious!!! We got to watch the food being made in front of us and he was very quick. I also appreciate he switched gloves between every order. It was nice to see everything come out of the freezer or a refrigerated container vs sitting under a warming lamp. He gave us more than enough food too, I was impressed with the portion size. Everything was flavorful, nothing was dry or soggy. We also shared an order of falafel and I was shocked it wasn't dry either. We will certainly come back.

Beef bowl w lettuce and a little onion. White * chili sauce combo

Was in the area and wanted something different to try and this did the trick. I like the play on words for the name. That's clever. I got the beef bowl. The beef & sauce was really good. The rice was mid.... next time I'll try it with the salad. A steamed cauliflower rice would probably be pretty darn good too. Over all a really cool local restaurant that serves giant portions of good food at a fair price. I will be back.

    my spouse's wrapped shawarma

We decided to check out Meat Revolution because we've been meaning to and we were near downtown last week. My spouse is always more picky about Middle Eastern leaning food than I am but he loved it, as did I. Ordering is fun. You tell them what meat you want (or if you want falafel), if you want it a wrap, bowl or combo, what veggies/toppings, what sauces, and you're off. I got a chicken shawarma with cabbage (which I think was lightly pickled) and the garlic sauce. I got it as a meal so we could share falafel; I'd get the mint dill next time because it was great on the falafel. My spouse got a beef shawarma and I honestly wasn't paying super close attention to what toppings he got. We ate in our car across the street and it was only through a sheer force of will that I got pictures before we devoured it all. Hope to make it back soon 'cause we really enjoyed it.

    Gyro with forgotten sauce

We arrived at opening. Floors were filthy so clearly not cleaned from the day before. No greeting and seemed to be bothersome for the employee that we were there. We took our Togo order and got home to see the sauce on the side had been forgotten. Gyro meat was good. Fries were good. Will never go back and will ensure my circle of people know to avoid.

First time trying here and I'm absolutely in love! The portion size is awesome and the food tastes even better! Got the falafel plate with rice and fries as sides and it superseded all of my expectations! Will def be coming back. 10/10

The falafel is always super dry, I keep trying it hoping it'll get better or I had a bad batch but it's consistently that way :(

The baked pita chips were okay, but they were chewy and not as crispy as I'd have liked. I had the falafel gyro, I liked the tzatziki sauce, it had a good amount of sourness and refreshingness. I needed more falafels, they had only given me three, but they were delicious, crispy on the outside and spiced interior flavor. There was a lot of feta on it, maybe a bit too much for me. I had the pasta orzo for my side which was good, but sort of just tasted like tomato soup with orzo in it. The fries were good, very crispy, and good amount of salt! We had to try the baklava, because I love baklava, and this one did not disappoint, the honey was fully soaked into the phyllo pastry, and the middle section was good flavor too with the nuts. Service: Our server was great, he was very attentive, and the food came out fast, and everyone seemed to be very happy working here. Atmosphere: I liked the seating and the welcoming environment. The kitchen was visible to everyone which is always good to know. Not too loud here either but still busy. Overall: Delicious!! I had a great time here and can't wait to come back to try a few other things.

We have since ordered take out, but I probably wouldn't do that again. It's not packaged in a way that maintains the quality as much and the salads are packaged inside the hot meals instead of separately, so we didn't really get to eat that. However, their food, especially the kabobs of all meats, are delicious. Their hummus is top tier! They are also extremely friendly, with a very clean environment inside.

Lately, when I get hungry I tend to think of this cuisine. As if to say that I was led to it by some invisible force, like a magnet, I made a u turn to get on the east bound lane to rush to it. A small restaurant but on the outside, I sensed some authenticity. After taking a few photos of its exterior, I stepped inside with high anticipation. On Yelp, it's got a solid 4-star rating left by the past diners/takeouters. Sounds promising. A young lady upfront said a quick hi followed by a question "For here or to-go?" to which I said "to-go. The menu has a good selection of both small (appetizer) plates to entrees. Their menus are somewhat fancy booklet style. Depending on the item, there are some accompanying photos of them. I wanted at least a few items so I went with 1) Fava Beans ($9 from the Appetizer section) and 2) Vegetarian Lovers Combo ($17 from the Entree section.) And for the next 45 min (from Boulder to Denver) on a beautiful mid Sunday afternoon, I had go through a very agonizing time smelling the mouthwatering smell of the two dishes while I was fighting the traffic jam caused by an accident on 36. Once I was home though, I wasted no time to savor the two dishes. And this is how my early dinner went: 1) Fava Beans - this dish could utilize more seasoning. It's a little bland or I should say boring. On the positive note, it does taste clean and healthy. I do like simple in many cases where I abhor something that's oversalted. That said, this dish pass my taste test. At the same time, it's definitely not something I highly recommend. 2) Vegetarian Lovers Combo - I can comfortably say that this is a solid dish. There are two falafels that are triangular shaped (never seen them shaped like that). Both baba ghonouj and hummus are in the top two compartments portioned generously. In the main compartment, house salad, rice and tabbouleh are beautifully and carefully placed. One large pita bread that was cut in half was in a piece of foil separately so it wouldn't get soggy. Oh let's not forget, there was one grape leaf on top of the tabbouleh which I saved it for the last. When I finally ate it, I realized that this is/was the star item of the whole combo plate. I've eaten super oily grape leaves that are too soggy in oils but this was perfectly moist and yet not oily. Small and yet it was dense inside. Wish the plate came with two of them. A little suggestion I would like to make to the restaurant (so I hope the restaurant owner read this!!) These two dishes lasted for three meal occasions until dinner time next day. The value for the total price of $23 (before tax) is pretty hard to beat in this high inflation time especially in a city like Boulder. To me, this is a solid 4-star experience.

The buffet allowed me to try everything - and it's nothing like what you're picturing. There was constantly warm, fresh pita to try the hummus, whipped feta and tabbouleh. There was constantly fresh fruit out with honey yogurt that was to die for. While there was a ton of meats and cheeses to try from, the star of the show was the falafel. You can't miss trying it, it was the best falafel I've ever had. The vibes were great for brunch, and I highly recommend going for buffet style if you want to try a bunch of things on the menu.

The restaurant has this nice open feeling to it with a full bar (you can order off the full menu if a solo or pair dining) and then plenty of tables. I recommend coming with a larger group if you can so you can try lots of things. Servers are nice and attentive. Obviously you have to try various hummus plates. The foraged mushroom and brussels sprouts were my favorite. I especially loved the jalapenos on the brussels sprouts one. The hummus itself was creamy and rich and the pita they bring is warm and fresh. The tabbouleh was fine but nothing spectacular and it says it has avocado in it but I didn't detect it. I love muhammara and theirs did not disappoint. The pickled vegetables were nice but I also love pickled anything. Absolutely make sure to get the bright green falafels. Probably my favorite of the night. Perfectly crispy exterior with a soft warm center that I'd eat over and over again. We ordered the duck but I was quite full so did not taste it. The only reason I'm giving 4/5 stars is the scallops were incredibly underwhelming and quite bland. The scallops themselves were cooked fine but no flavor and the pomegranate sauce didn't add much. There desserts were also just so-so.
