Top notch food, service and atmosphere. The lack of gf options is a bummer, but the prices and quality make up for it. Best drip coffee in town. Good place for small groups or to study

The food was very yummy! The croissants were so flakey, and done really well. I Went thinking it would be a quicker option since you order at the counter and then the food is brought out when ready, but it was a bit of a wait. The pastries and coffee came out quick/immediately but the actual plates took over 30mins. The staff were nice, and there were many seating options! Overall would recommend for a casual but good breakfast.

Great French food for brunch or lunch. Order at the counter and food comes out to your table. Plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating. Some of the outdoor seating was shaded. We were there on a fall Saturday around 11am and the line to order moved quickly. There was no problem finding a place to sit. Quiche was classically French - very rich! Salmon salad and croissant were both well prepared. Consider getting some bread or pastries to go - they all looked delicious.

Been here twice. It's ok but overpriced and honestly just kinda meh. The printing on their bag says it all.

Matinette - A breakfast plate features thick slices of French toast topped with a sunny-side-up fried egg, seasoned with black pepper. The toast appears crispy and golden brown. Accompanying the dish is a side salad consisting of mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, and sliced red onions. The plate is placed on a dark table, with a napkin and utensils nearby, suggesting a casual dining setting.

My husband and I were out and about for Boulder Startup Week and in the process, we bumped into a friend who told us about Maisonette. I hadn't been into the building since pre-covid Frank's Chophouse and it looks amazing. It's always been a neat structure, but the current version of simple, rustic, elegance works perfectly for this little pastry shop. The desserts are beautiful and were very tempting, but I ended up with the Matinette. It came with a side of beautiful fresh greens. The Matinette itself was topped with a perfectly cooked egg and was superb. Parking is as easy as anywhere in the area (there's an underground garage just across the street). Also, this is the most walkable part of Boulder with plenty of public transit. Overall, it's really exciting to not only have the space in use again, but by such a great little place. It was busy when I was there! Let's keep it that way.

The more I go here, the less enchanted I am becoming. It has potential to be better and I hope they get there. My friend and I finally went early enough to see a full variety display of the pastries. We were there minutes after opening and they had a full case. We bought a few to take home for other family members and I will report on the quality of these later. I had an almond croissant and a cortado at the table. I'm glad they have opened up more of the existing seating which had been used by the previous occupant of this building. I saw why there are almost no pastries left by 11. Within 10 minutes of opening the line was long. There is a hotel directly across the street, whose food reputation is only fair so I guess this place serves the purpose. The cortado was the smallest and most tasteless I have ever had. There is an excellent one down the street at the coffee bar of a popular food hall. They got confused and made this one "to go" in a silly tiny "bathroom type" size paper cup. My almond croissant was "for here" so why not the drink? The almond croissant was warm, large, fresh and as heavy as lead and too sweet. I have had them all over Boulder and this was not even close to as enjoyable as a long time north Boulder bakery. I washed the serving down with 2 glasses of water to make up for lack of fluid in the cortado and broke off a big chunk of the warm baguette to eat immediately, that I was taking home. The baguette was the star of the day, warm, crispy outside and fluffy inside like any in Paris I have had. I will adjust the review if necessary once the rest of the pastries are eaten. Know that even compared to quality places across Boulder, the prices are here are high. Not for every day for many. They have apparently spent a lot on the remodel and it does look great and they are still training serving staff and need to continue to do so for sure.

This is my favorite bakery/coffee shop in Boulder! Incredible, fast, and friendly service. Excellent menu selection, and such a beautiful space! So much space inside and out l, I have never had an issue finding a place to sit and enjoy my pastries and coffee! I've tried a few different pastries, my personal favorite is the berry brioche or the chocolate croissant! If you haven't visited yet - make sure to add this to your list. You won't be disappointed.

The image features a glass display case containing French bakery items such as tarts, éclairs, macarons, and crème brûlée. The desserts are arranged on trays, with some labeled with handwritten signs indicating their names and prices. The background shows a metal surface and a patterned floor, suggesting an interior setting of a bakery or cafe specializing in French pastries.

My husband is French so we are always on the lookout for some authentic French pastries and Maisonette has exactly that and then some! This gorgeous establishment was right across from our hotel so naturally we went right after check in to grab some pastries. We got an almond croissant, plain croissant, chocolate chip cookie, banana bread pudding and something similar to a pain suisse which I forgot the name of. All were AMAZING. The almond croissant was easily the best I've had anywhere! Our last morning here my husband grabbed me another croissant and a latte which was the best latte of our trip! You would never guess they opened less than a year ago! It feels like it is already a staple in this community. My one regret is not dining in and trying some of their breakfast and lunch items! The owner Florian was so friendly and you could tell he loves what he does. This is a must visit if you are in Boulder!

The image shows the exterior of Maisonette, a French bakery and café, with a sign above the entrance. The outdoor seating area includes tables, chairs, and umbrellas, enclosed by a black metal fence. Decorative pumpkins and flowers are placed along the front of the patio, and a dog is standing near the entrance. The building has a window with black shutters and a neutral-colored wall.

I've been once, had an almond chocolate croissant that was perfect. I love the atmosphere, lots of quiet places to sit and talk.

For a coffee shop and bakery it's a really nice place. Specious, relatively quiet, nice bakeries as well as sandwiches and omelettes.

5 Stars across the board- coffee, pastries, atmosphere, service…read more The coffee here is fantastic. Full stop. I got a cortado so I could really enjoy the espresso, and enjoy I did! The pastries are the kind you'd hope for in a dedicated bakery. Every one of them was exceptional and I could pick a favorite among the three I tried. HIGHLY recommend the: - potato rosemary danish, - kouign amman (pronounced queen aman), - and apple fritter (these tend to sell out early!) I may be back later today or tomorrow to get more of these. They're THAT good. The staff was lovely and that's worth mentioning for a coffee shop that's so good you would accept a bit of snoot. Super kind and open to offering suggestions. And atmosphere is 10/10. Grab a seat, your laptop, and some f&b and enjoy. We got a seat in a little side room with a skylight and big plant (still open to the main room) and hung out for a while. Overall, the kind of coffee shop that makes me wish I lived here to do some work here, enjoy their brews, and order their Thanksgiving pies for my fam!

The breakfast sandwich (with sausage) was good - the bun it was on was super soft and a mismatch for the structured sandwich. It ended up being hard to eat. The Roman sandwich was ok but had too much cheese. Our coffee (drip and an oatmilk latte) were good. It was busy on a Tuesday morning at 8:30, we were lucky to get a table for two.
