Lovely coffee shop with so much seating. The gf carrot cake was the perfect treat to start the day, I loved the amount of frosting on here and that it had both carrot and coconut. The matcha was quite possibly the worst matcha I have ever had. And I think it's diabolical to charge people $1.25 for alternative milk options. The oat milk was not even that good. 4 stars for the amount of cream cheese on the carrot cake and the vibes. :) read more

I love New Moon Bakery and Cafe and stop here every time I'm in Nederland. The staff is always friendly, the coffee and matcha are great, and the fresh baked goods and breakfast items are delicious. I ordered the veggie quiche and I loved the flavors and the crust was perfect! Flaky and tasty. I also like the location of this cafe and the views. Easy & free parking in a parking lot as well. read more

Very cool coffee shop in Nederland! It was the perfect stop before a nearby hike, to fuel up on coffee and goodies. I ordered a frappe (no flavor/sweetener) for my drink - sounded like a great option given the hot morning. It hit the spot! For a treat I opted for the heavenly bar - it was rich, delicious, and a perfect pre-hike snack for me (saved some for post hike also ;)). On a Tuesday late morning it wasn't too busy. I enjoyed the outside patio seating. I do want to try out the food on a future visit and will reserve a star for rhat. I was impressed with the large menu available here and look forward to exploring it. read more

I love this little coffee shop! The have the best CBD lattes and I got a Sammy to eat by the river- sorry I was so busy enjoying my treats I didn't take a pic! I had the BST- bacon spinach and tomato- delish! Bacon was crispy and the bread was perfectly soft but held up well! read more

We were happy to find this little coffee in shop on our road trip. I ordered a peppermint mocha iced latte. My drink was delicious! Odd note was even others waiting for drinks before me received drinks not filled to the top, mine was no different. So that was a little disappointing. Plenty of space inside to sit and catch up with friends and great clean bathroom. read more

Very cute cafe and bakery. Me and The Hubs had lunch here while doing the leaf-peeping drive through the area about a month and a half ago. This is a small place with very limited seating inside, but a decent amount outside (plan accordingly - weatherwise!). It was a nice day so we were able to sit outside with our lunch. We both ordered the Wild Turkey sandwich (turkey, pesto, Swiss, tomato, spinach). It was really good and filling. The pastry case was almost empty when we were there, but considering the crowd that was in town (mid-week!), I'm surprised that anything was left! The staff were very busy with the crowd but still managed to be friendly. I'd eat here again. PS - Clean restroom. read more

This cool bakery was located right in the center of town. Lots of parking up front. Staff was all very friendly when taking our order. Nice outside seating as well to enjoy when the weather allows it. I got the egg and cheese bagel on an everything bagel and my wife got the egg burrito. We also got some monkey bread. The egg and cheese bagel was good, fresh and I loved the crispness after it was toasted. My wife said she enjoyed the burrito, it was a pretty big portion. The monkey bread was the real winner though. It was amazing, lots of flavor with the nuts, raisins and icing. It melted in your mouth and was so soft. Decent portions too. I knocked a star off because the tip screen showed 25% as a minimum, then 30%, 35% and 40%. I entered my own and gave them 20% but cmon guys, the tip scene is getting out of hand. I'm happy to support local businesses and it's staff but why is 40% even an option? For ringing up my order and handing me my bagel? (Which I had to get up from my outside seating to get it) The least you could have done is brought it outside to me for throwing a 20% tip. Ending my tip rant...I would still go back, the food was good read more

Smiling faces. And the best sandwich we have had in ages! Fresh ciabatta. The Italian was fresh and tasty! Thank you!!! Congratulations on a big win for us! read more

The sandwich was good but skip the matcha. I don't drink coffee anymore but enjoy a nice matcha latte. This was 90% milk and no matcha. You can see from the photo the color of the matcha. I saw that they had a container of matcha powder and was excited but I could barely taste the matcha if any. I also don't like being forced to order only one size of an iced matcha latte for this very reason - because to make it a larger size it has to by default contain way more milk than I would like. I only drank a few sips and sadly had to chuck the whole thing in the trash. If you're going to serve matcha lattes at least offer another size? Otherwise it would just be a flavored milk. No other options around this area so take this for what it is. read more

This little bakery and café in Nederland is a hidden gem. Inside, the ambiance is cozy rustic, and there's a lovely front patio to enjoy as well. The selection of fresh and tempting offerings made it tough to decide what to choose. In the end, my husband and I both settled on their quiche, with one of them being gluten-free. They were absolutely delicious! It's a fantastic spot to visit when you're in the area or en route to Eldora! read more

This is one of my go to spots. Their bagels are phenomenal and I love their coffee as well. A good place to stop before or after a hike. Sometimes a little busy in morning because they are so amazing. Indoor and outdoor seating. Their pastries are super yummy. Especially their heavenly bar! read more

WOW! This was quite possibly the coziest cafe I've been to in awhile. The inside has a very warm and welcoming atmosphere with folks reading, journaling, and gently conversing. The outside has numerous seating options and a beautiful view of town. The organization itself is very local - immense support for the local newspaper, community events, and cafe's staff. Their menu is quite eclectic with an almost Euro-style of coffee prep for traditional drinks (e.g. the macchiato). I had an iced sugar-free vanilla latte and a breakfast bagel - both were exquisite and hit the spot! Very filling and flavorful. Next time I'm in the area for a hike or yoga event, I'll be sure to stop in! read more

Stopped in for a snack on our way through Nederland. Ordered a sausage sammie and a croissant and they were both fantastic. We took ours to go but a number of people were dining in and it seems like a great atmosphere. I'm a sucker for bakeries so during our impromptu stop is Nederland, we had to try this bakery. It did not disappoint. A cute shop that had local art hanging all around. It gave mountain, bake shop vibes- which is exactly what it was haha. My husband got the coconut macaroons and I got the hiker cookie (orange, cranberry cookie). Everything was gluten free which did matter to us but still nice. They were the perfect sweet treats. The macarons were big and had a great coconut flavour. They were firm but not dry and my husband said he would have ordered 100 of them if he could have. The cookie was also great. I was worried it was going to be dry and crunchy because of the GF flour but it was not. It was soft and just the right about of sweet. The cookie was also quite large. Great treats after our lunch! Stop in and check it out. read more

Delicious pig sandwich featuring warm Ciabitta bread (home made), ham, cheese, spicy mustard, spinach, served warm and delicious! We arrived around 11 am, plenty of parking, wonderful outdoor seating, people watching, service with a smile. Mixed with locals and those enjoying this community or heading up to the mountains. Delightful service. The croissant better left for warming up once back home. We've often stopped for coffee but lunch there was special! Well done! read more

Quaint place, ended up getting a breakfast bagel and a coffee and it was fantastic. Well worth the stop.

Solid coffee shop with some baked items. We had oat milk lattes and two macaroons - one plain and one chocolate. The lattes were good, solid, not exceptional, but still satisfying. As it goes with coffee. We enjoyed them! The macaroons were phenomenal! The chocolate covered one was the best. Recommended! read more

An excellent sit-down bakery / coffee & tea shop, right in the center of town. Friendly staff and plenty of outdoor seating. As for the baked goods, while we enjoyed the mountain hiker cookie ($3.75) and the chocolate chip cookie ($2.25), we found them rather pricey for fairly standard fresh-made cookies. The ham and cheddar croissants were a bit better value ($3.95 each), but they were more like Pillsbury crescent rolls than true croissants. They were tasty and filling, so a perfectly good breakfast treat. All-in-all, better to think of this as a café with their own baked goods than as a bakery (I'd go again for coffee or tea or hot chocolate, but would not go out of my way to get their baked goods).Store read more

Stopped here after hiking cause I was starving! Grabbed a quick sando. Got the Wild Turkey. The staff was friendly and the place is cute with area to sit outside with the pup. That being said, I think it was a little expensive considering the quantity of items on this, but also understand food cost. read more

Stopped here for a quick lunch in Nederland and I got the Italian Club while my partner got the Wild Turkey. I'm big on Italian sandwiches, but the only thing that was even close to replicating one was the seasoning. Staff was friendly, and I'd go back to try the coffee/pasties that everyone else talks about. May go somewhere else for lunch though. read more

Great coffees, baked goods and bagel sandwiches. A must stop in Nederland! Friendly staff.

Just left and ordered a breakfast burrito and coffee, and they gave me the burrito partially unwrapped, and when I asked why, the girl and guy who was there was very rude. "You just opened the wrap", yes I did to see why it wasn't completely wrapped and half open when you give to the customer. And the order before mine, they dropped her sandwich on the floor because she Ddnt put on counter completely, and because wrapper was half open, they sandwich fell out. Maybe should have sandwich better wrapped. Definitely 100 percent not friendly or customer service. No one smiling, just very nasty energy at this place. No thanks. read more

After spending the morning in town, this place was highly recommended. I was expecting to be blown away with how highly it was recommended. It was very visit upon arrival. Usually all good signs but this is just a basic lunch spot. My sandwich was alright and my partners was pretty dry. It's got a large patio in front to hang out on. Always happy to support local but I wouldn't say this is a five star spot but it def does the job when you need a bite. read more

Great baristas. Great breakfast bites. Great "be present" vibes. We stopped here for a quick breakfast & coffee on our way to Estes Park. After spending the day in the Rocky Mountain National Park, we opted to visit Nederland on our way home. While we were hungry, it was between lunch and dinner, so we opted for a bigger snack instead of a meal. The prices were higher than what I was hoping for, but given Nederland is a small mountain town, that was to be expected. I went for the Southwest quiche, mostly because it sounded different. It was delicious! Black beans, chili, onion and cheese on a tortilla crust. A dollop of salsa would have made it perfect. read more

I visit this bakery/ coffee shop every time I come back home from living out of state. It is something I look forward to! Now, I just can't justify $7.50 for a lavender, goat cheese, apricot croissant. $7.00 for a cinnamon roll (very sweet)...okay, maybe. With tip - the options to choose with a card are 25%, 30%, 35% or put in custom - a croissant is close to $9.00-$10.00. I know flour prices have gone up...but with the higher priced croissant plus the options starting at 25% for tip, it just felt off. I'm probably more price conscious than some. Just trying to give a heads up. Nice staff. read more

Such a cute little bakery/cafe in Nederland! They have pretty good coffee with lots of options. I had a snickers latte and it was yummy, definitely on the sweeter side though. We also tried a berry blues smoothie & it was good. Their baked goods all looked amazing! The banana bread was super moist & perfect. Also tried their breakfast bagel another time we went, bacon, egg & cheese. My parents had breakfast burritos, they seemed to enjoy them & they looked equally as delicious. Overall definitely recommend this cafe to anyone in town looking for a quick bite to eat or a decent cup of coffee! read more

A true gem that does everything right from delicious breakfasts to gluten free baking that really meets any dietary needs. For lunch, I highly recommend the warm egg-battered tortilla, quiche or vegan options.
