I was too impatient for the Boulder location to open so we drove out to Nederland for the morning and boy, was it worth it! First off, it's in the cutest little town. Second, my cinnamon maple latte was by far the best one I've ever had and they come in an adorable reusable to-go cup. Everyone was so nice and even gave recommendations on what to order. DO NOT EVER GET AN EVENT CATERED BY THEM. Decent Bagel practically stole over $6k from us and my family. Everything that my wife and I discussed with the owners, Carl and Audrey, and agreed upon for the wedding dinner: it was not delivered. They didn't deliver: the full menu, the food presentation fully ignored, food was not kept warm, service to dispense dessert and clean up was ignored and left for the family and friends, the guests of the wedding to do. I have never experienced a catering so neglected in all my life. They blame that it was because it was "at-cost". This Decent Bagel offered and we countered with paying whatever else to have these things agreed upon: "no problem" they said. They blame their errors due to unreasonable demands: asking for two food additions closer to the date. They agreed to the additions and said 'no problem". But it was a problem for them. But they didn't communicate. Fear of possibly losing business I speculate. They turn around and blame it on us. We are a customer like any other yet we are placed with the burden of responsibility for them not delivering what we paid for. Decent Bagel will admit to not communicate but will not acknowledge that they failed and insist it is our responsibility, because of our feelings and misinterpretation of events. Because no one complained publicly to them the day of the wedding and it looked like everyone "was having a good time", that we (the client and marriage bride and groom) are misinterpreting the entire situation and are not grateful to their "employee". My wife has worked hard and well, something they echo when they say "how great and wonderful working relationship they had", and that because of this extra blessing they provide us, that we are crazy to be upset. They blame all their failings in that it was "an at -cost event" so how could we possibly expected what we wanted and agreed upon? Because they offered to do "at-cost", they can deliver whatever they want on the day of and it's fine if it's not what we agreed on. We were grateful for this "discount" yet it didn't mean to us, "eh just do like some of the things on the menu in the laziest possible way and whatever, the client knows us they won't care". There was no contract offered by Decent Bagel. Now it makes sense. I should've known better. NO. We are upset because WE AGREED TO A PRESET STYLE OF SERVICE WITH SPECIFIC MENU AND SPECIFIC DESIRES FOR PRESENTATION: these thing they claim they couldn't provide because of all uncontrollable external forces, YET, instead of communicating so things could change or be adjusted, they ignored that and put all their effort into a last-minute effort days before the wedding they, we, their client for service, is somehow "responsible". Fact of the matter is no one would cater a wedding like this to themselves and call it okay taking the money of an employee you deemed worthy of respect. Instead, you have shown you only have respect for your bottom line and not the service you provide. read more

1 hour wait from the time we placed our order to when we finally got our bagels. No acknowledgement from any of the employees that we had waited so long, other than telling me right before we received our order that they were out of sausage. Discovered that our orders were mixed up, burnt, and incorrect when we finally sat down to eat. As someone that has experience working in the service industry, I totally understand being busy on a weekend morning. But failing to warn incoming customers of the current wait time, and failing to acknowledge or apologize for the wait seems like bad customer service and bad business for a place that charges so much. I hope this was truly just an off day, because I love Nederland and all the surrounding small businesses. But this was a really bad experience. This is the cutest coffee/bagel/ice cream spot I've ever been to. The person who took my order was absolutely lovely and the food came out quickly on a busy Sunday morning. Unfortunately I was not a fan of this bagel, it was a bit too toasted for my liking and it had way too many pickled onions and not enough salmon. I would not return for a bagel, but I would come back for the amazing homemade ice cream! They also have so much seating indoors and a back patio that is dog friendly. read more

Did takeout here for breakfast before a hike in the Brainard area - we split a Full Send breakfast sandwich with pickled shallots on Everything bagel, then got a simple cinnamon crunch bagel with whipped cream cheese. The sandwich was tasty but pretty heavy with all the meat and hashbrowns - could maybe benefit from some sort of sauce? These bagels are a hell of a lot more than decent! The main drag in Nederland is small but mighty. Some great places to eat around here. Decent Bagel is your pre-hike/ski fuel. They even have online ordering perfected to a T. You might miss the sign, but you won't miss the bright pink building. It's spacious inside, looks nothing like any bagel shop you've been to. Minimal decor and wood floors. Good amount of seating indoors and out, though many people take theirs to go. Bagels are what I consider a gourmet or artisan bagel. Made with plenty of TLC. Good chew and texture. I personally prefer a NY-style bagel. But for a cozy mountain town local spot you can't complain. +FULL SEND ($13) // egg, cheese, bacon, sausage and hashbrown. A BEC taken to the next level. More places need to implement these McDonald's style hash browns on their menus to begin with, let alone stuffing it between a bagel. There was a lot going on, though I'm glad I tried this behemoth breakfast sammie. Service was fine. I find it annoying when the person taking your order continues to text on their phone. I visited Decent Bagel before our ski day at Eldora and loved my breakfast (and even had enough leftover for a quick snack)! Their bagels are delicious and they are located in a cute shop with lots of other treats and goodies, including ice cream. Loved that it had both white and black sesame seeds and had an ample amount for a nice crunch. Go here for breakfast if you're in Ned you won't regret it. I just had a everything bagel with regular cream cheese and cotto Spanish ham and it was probably one of the best sandwiches I've had. My boyfriend tried the green eggs and ham specialty sandwich and he said it was amazing. The staff is super friendly and you can tell they know most of the local people in town. Service was great and friendly. The everything bagels had just come out of the oven and they warned us that it would take a few minutes. It was completely worth it It's a small space, but has many windows and all of the local charm of a small town breakfast spot. I live in Ned, and I love biking down to get these Bagels's, they are so delicious and the smoothies are so good to, as well as the cookies!

Don't let the name deceive you...this place is anything but decent. As soon as I saw the bright pink exterior and heard talk of a bagel shop in Ned I was beyond excited. Boy did this place exceed my hopes and dreams! The bagels are soft and chewy with a perfectly crisp exterior. They don't skimp on the everything seasoning on their everything bagels (my favorite). The scallion cream cheese is so bright and flavorful I could eat it with a spoon. I love the cozy interior and the staff is always so friendly and cool. The treats in the front display case are on point and they keep me coming back with fun specials and flavors. The secret garden was just re released for the spring and I can't wait to grab one at the Boulder Farmers Market or in Nederland next time I'm around. Perfect spot to grab a bite and drip coffee before hitting the slopes. Decent also has super cute bagel gang merch that I will rep all day long. Such a wonderful addition to First Street. read more

These aren't just decent bagels, these are BOMB @$$ BAGELS. This is the only breakfast joint in Nederland that I go to whenever I come up to spend the day shooting my gats, blazing those trails, and puffing that loud loud :) The bagel sandwiches are made to perfection and the owner, Carlos(?), is such a down-to-earth guy! If it wasn't so hard to find solid employees these days, I would suggest that they OPEN A 2ND LOCATION because they have the bagel block locked!
