All items were worth trekking here from anywhere in Colorado to eat. The quality of ingredients and overall amazing flavor was surprising to come from a small mountain town. Ambiance: cozy, well decorated, great playlist and a good bar make for an excellent experience Service: Sara was so welcoming, sweet and knowledgeable. Seems like everyone working here takes pride in being a part of this place which then makes being here even more inviting. Highly recommend (especially bc they stock Coca Cola products and Dos Equis!)

I got the loaded potatoes and added crispy fish. Definitely super filling and priced fairly. Taste was a 4 out of 5. Lots of delicious elements to it, especially the green sauce. My fiance got the chimichanga and man did he get his moneys worth! Massive chimi and he really enjoyed it. We had chips and salsa to start and the salsa was quite tasty. Coincidentally, the couple next to us had ordered the same dishes! So, maybe we got two of the more popular items on the menu. We didn't get drinks this time, but may have to try a margarita when we come back. Service was friendly and attentive. Definitely a spot worth checking out if you're in town. Plus, LOTS of great options for a variety of dietary needs, like vegan and vegetarian!

This was actually our favorite meal in Grand Lake!…read more The portions are HUGE and the flavors are so fresh. My husband and I shared a burrito along with a chicken quesadilla. Both were big and extremely filling. We took home leftovers. Get a side of chipotle ranch! I loved dipping the quesadilla in that. Our friend ordered the Not Cho nachos and said they set the standard for nachos moving forward. He absolutely loved them. I enjoyed the outdoor dining space a lot. The margaritas were fairly priced and looked delicious. I can't drink right now so it was a bummer I had to skip those. The food options in Grand Lake are pretty mid but this is a solid choice.

We forgot to ask for an ETA at the time of ordering, so we went back in to check. Out of nowhere, the server started yelling: "You just ordered food 5 seconds ago and now you need an ETA?" The entire restaurant went silent--everyone was stunned by the outburst. All we did was ask a basic question so we could plan accordingly and avoid waiting out in the heat (especially with some members not feeling well). They don't have any shaded seating outside either to wait there. We reported the behavior to the manager, who spoke with the staff member. But unbelievably, the same cook/server had another loud outburst right after--and that was the final straw. Everyone in restaurant left right after and we ended up going to another restaurant. No idea how this place is being run, but the service was aggressive and totally unacceptable. Ton of great restaurants around, so save yourself time and peace of mind.

Disappointing customer service…read more I stopped by for lunch with my medically trained service dog. I was told dogs were not allowed. I clarified that my dog was a service dog and that I would sit outside. After I said that, I was met with what felt like a cold response and was simply told, "ok." After I sat outside, the same server approached and said, "We don't allow dogs on the patio either." For a second time, I explained that my dog was not a pet but a service dog. The server then responded with something along the lines of, "If it really is, that's ok." At that point, I decided not to eat at the restaurant. I mentioned that refusing service to someone because of a service dog is illegal. The server responded that he did not hear me say my dog was a service dog earlier, which was confusing because we had already gone back and forth about it. A man claiming to be the owner then came out and did not seem concerned about the situation or interested in addressing the issue, only concerned about the dog. He repeated that the server didn't hear me which I find extremely hard to believe due to the back-and-forth exchange and cold response initially when mentioning the dog is a service dog.

I also ordered the horchata which was one of the best I've had! Again, super big and shareable. Throw in some queso dip with the complimentary nachos and you will be set! Or just order the choices you prefer and I'm sure it will be good. The place had a calm and peaceful ambiance. Nothing too loud and we enjoyed good conversation over a meal.

It makes you instantly hungry and has a way of making you forget about skiing or any other plans. I went with the two street tacos for $20. I chose the Elk and the Steak, opting for double black beans instead of rice to keep the diet right. Both were fantastic; the succulent steak provided a perfect balance to the leaner elk. I always judge a Mexican restaurant by its chips and salsa, and Mi Casa delivered a great trio: a fresh pico, a solid medium verde, and a "light you up" option for those who want the heat. The bar serves a solid Ranch Water with true Topo Chico instead of club soda from the gun, and my son gave the kids' quesadilla a strong report. The interior is well-executed--it transports you without feeling kitschy. The staff was attentive and friendly throughout. Overall, a reality-based "win" for a post-mountain meal.
