Grand County Roastery was recommended to me by a local and has really cemented itself in my heart and transformed me into a coffee enjoyer. I got the signature honey latte, half sweet, made with local CO honey and quickly made myself comfortable in their community seating next door. Really cozy cafe and I can tell that this roastery is really well loved by the locals just to hang, chat, work, etc. It shares space with the Granby Information booth for the tourists and a honey caramel shop. Grand County Roastery also has lots of cute merch, tons of coffee beans and working coffee grinder. Cute little coffee set in the heart of Granby where they roast coffee beans in house! Stopped in on the way to Granby Lake and ordered a double shot espresso with steaming milk and honey and it was only $3.50 which was amazing in comparison to several coffee places. One of my favorite things to do when I travel is try local coffee shop's, ESPECIALLY if they roast their own. I will say, the service was meh - we were helped quickly but seemed like an inconvenience. Probably because we were blatantly not from the area, and they usually see more locals, who knows. This place checks all the boxes. The ambiance is fantastic. Really good size with lots of places to sit and relax, study, get work done, etc. Most importantly, the coffee is delicious. I am quite particular about my coffee and the flavors here are spot on. I tend to blended coffees and this always seems to be an issue especially when I travel. Most "niche" coffee shops do not offer blended drink for some reason beyond my comprehension. Regardless, they have BLENDED coffee. Coffee and food is good but you're going to wait in line for 20 minutes so don't come here if you're in any type of hurry to get anywhere. They also make the locals drinks before tourists even if you order before them. And be prepared to watch the counter for your drinks because they don't call them out when they are done. I went here twice during my time in Granby, once around 4:30 PM, once at about 10 AM. With a 4.7-star rating, expectations were fairly high, but they weren't really met. The first time it wasn't busy at all, I had my choice of tables in the back for trip-planning (the WiFi is adequate), the hot cocoa was good, and the brownie... had probably been sitting in the display case too long, it was pretty dry. A quick blitz in the microwave might have revived it, and it remained edible, but my mom would have been apologizing if I came over and she'd baked brownies 3 or 4 days ago that were at that status. Too bad, as other reviews indicate that when fresh, they're really good. On the plus side, service was quick and friendly, a new employee from Hot Sulphur Springs. By the time I left, another employee had also appeared. The second time it was super busy, this Monday 9/18, and they only had one employee. She was doing her best, but it was a 15-20 minute wait in line, and the line was longer by the time I got to the counter than the time I arrived. They really could have used a second person behind the counter. I went with the Scottish tea and a chocolate chip scone. The tea was fine (better than English, about on par with Irish), the scone was slightly disappointing, although I had been spoiled by Fat Cat scones with butter and jam the day before. I don't expect American scones to be like northern English scones, but I'd take a random flavor from my go-to coffee shop back home any day over this chocolate-chip one. Since it was so busy, I went out on the back patio, which overlooks the Union Pacific yard and the Moffat Railroad Museum. It's a nice area to work, with an overhead sheet to reduce the chance of being sunburned. I'm not a coffee person, so you'll have to trust the other reviewers on that. Overall, worth a try if you're staying in Granby, but if you're in a hurry to get somewhere in the morning, it's probably not the best place to count on getting your caffeine fix quickly. read more

Me and a few friends went to there other location but I couldn't find it on Yelp. It's a bit bigger and located in a shopping center. Not as cute as this location but good to get some work done in a coffee shop. We all ordered matcha's which where the best matcha's we had on the whole trip. Me and a friend got the gluten free banana bread which was great and didn't even taste gluten free. My friend got the breakfast burrito which she said was really good and big enough that she couldn't finish it. Over all great place and we will be back! read more

Didn't wait too long in line and for our drinks, but the place was a mess. Coffee grounds seemed to be all over the work station and it also seemed that they were not cleaning the portafilters between shots. You can taste it in their espresso.
