This is a review to provide constructive criticism. We are local and since the tree lighting has moved away from this area, we came here to get a something to warm up and since this place is away from the main crowd we thought would be good to support the businesses that maybe missing out on the crowd. We came 20 minute before 6 which is closing time. They were not happy to see us at all. Had already mopped the floor and was fully ready to close up shop. After us was a few other people doing the same thing. That's the problem with hiring young staff that don't have a vested interest in the success all the care about it getting out on time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I like this place, super cool environment to be able to relax drink coffee, tea and hang out or sit by the stream.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But if they don't want me to support a local business I can go down the street to one of at least 5 other businesses that want my business and will serve a hot beverage instead of the barely warm one I got this last evening. It's not like we came in 5 minutes before closing. If I ran a business that closes at 6. We happily serve until closing time and then when all customers are gone we start cleaning. First of all great location and secondly the coffee shop is unique in the sense that its also a gift shop with some cool journals , cards and hand made pens . The store is spread across two floors and even though the barista is downstairs the seating indoors is mostly upstairs. There is some seating outside and with the sun still in full spirit in Colorado we picked the latter. The upstairs had a section with some games and I saw several kids engaged in those , giving parents a few minutes of peace to have their coffee Lol . This is my favorite coffee shop in Estes Park. I've been here twice now. There are two floors - the first floor has the coffee counter and a mini bookstore that has some popular books and classics, but also journals, stationary and novelty gifting items. The second floor is a cozy seating area where people can work, read, play games or sit at a counter and enjoy the view. The shop also has a patio for when the weather is nice outside. It can get crowded quickly, though. The coffees are standard fare + price. I love that they give ceramic mugs for dine-in customers to reduce waste. Given the location and ambiance, the shop is easily a must go for me whenever I'm in Estes Park. I highly recommend it for others! read more

I find that cafes that are also roasters usually do the best job of really trying to put out proper coffee as opposed to just cranking out drinks as fast as possible. I ordered a latte.
