This is one of my go to coffee spots every time I'm in Estes Park, especially after a hike, and it's easily my favorite coffee shop in the area. It's such a cute combo coffee + stationery store, and they have a really nice seating area upstairs. I stopped by again this weekend, got a latte, and it was delicious as usual. Took it upstairs and just relaxed for a bit with my friend, perfect post-hike vibe. I was here back in September too and noticed they've upgraded the upstairs seating since then, so it feels even nicer and more refreshed now. Cute shop in downtown Estes Park serving coffee and also a small array of gifts, cards, etc. Nice quaint back patio for sunnier days and an upstairs area that I didn't venture into, but I did hear someone say the were heading up there to work, so it could be a nice option for remote work. We ordered oat lattes and they were decent. I appreciate that they weren't overly milky - I hate when that happens! They use huckleberry beans (Colorado-based.) The service was quick, though the hospitality wasn't great - but maybe it was just an off-day. I'd still recommend to stop here if you're downtown Estes. read more

Definitely a must visit for Chai lovers. Love love love their Spicy ginger chai. This was a spot we visited about 5 times during our stay in Estes Park, CO. They also sell light snacks, cool artisty stuff and oh, it's pet-friendly. They also gave a pup-cup for our pooch. read more

Inkwell and brew is a really cute coffee and stationary shop right at the main intersection of downtown Estes park. I ordered a lavender pumpkin spice breve latte and it did NOT disappoint, and the barista was sweet and friendly! She was working alone but thankfully there was only one person ahead of me so it only took a couple mins to get the drink and while I waited the barista and I chatted, and i took a quick lap of the small stationary store. Long wait to order and to get coffee. Plan to waste an hour at least here on a week day. Coffee was not what was ordered. Went back and ask about it. They made a new coffee that was so bitter you couldn't drink it. No one in my group could drink it. This place leaves a lot to be desired. This is a review to provide constructive criticism. We are local and since the tree lighting has moved away from this area, we came here to get a something to warm up and since this place is away from the main crowd we thought would be good to support the businesses that maybe missing out on the crowd. We came 20 minute before 6 which is closing time. They were not happy to see us at all. Had already mopped the floor and was fully ready to close up shop. After us was a few other people doing the same thing. That's the problem with hiring young staff that don't have a vested interest in the success all the care about it getting out on time. I like this place, super cool environment to be able to relax drink coffee, tea and hang out or sit by the stream. But if they don't want me to support a local business I can go down the street to one of at least 5 other businesses that want my business and will serve a hot beverage instead of the barely warm one I got this last evening. It's not like we came in 5 minutes before closing. If I ran a business that closes at 6. We happily serve until closing time and then when all customers are gone we start cleaning. Came here two days in a row for the berry fields matcha latte. It was so good and I can't stop thinking about it. My boyfriend got a latte and that was good too. Get the matcha latte if you're a matcha person though, trust. The stationary store was cute and fun to walk around. Pricey, so I didn't buy anything but if you want a fun splurge this place is cute :) their pastries are actually otherworldly too, you need to try one if you're so inclined. read more

Definitely the "Central Perk" of Estes and a place to get work done in a "mountain chalet" oriented cafe. Solid ginger-forward chai lattes and good expresso drinks, plenty of work space. Of the shops on Elkhorn, I think Inkwell's espresso is best. I get an iced breve latte and I like the espresso to be strong enough to balance the creamy breve. And Inkwell achieved this perfectly. First of all great location and secondly the coffee shop is unique in the sense that its also a gift shop with some cool journals , cards and hand made pens . The store is spread across two floors and even though the barista is downstairs the seating indoors is mostly upstairs. There is some seating outside and with the sun still in full spirit in Colorado we picked the latter. The upstairs had a section with some games and I saw several kids engaged in those , giving parents a few minutes of peace to have their coffee Lol . This is my favorite coffee shop in Estes Park. I've been here twice now. There are two floors - the first floor has the coffee counter and a mini bookstore that has some popular books and classics, but also journals, stationary and novelty gifting items. The second floor is a cozy seating area where people can work, read, play games or sit at a counter and enjoy the view. The shop also has a patio for when the weather is nice outside. It can get crowded quickly, though. The coffees are standard fare + price. I love that they give ceramic mugs for dine-in customers to reduce waste. Given the location and ambiance, the shop is easily a must go for me whenever I'm in Estes Park. I highly recommend it for others! read more

This is a gem of a coffee shop located in the center of town in Estes Park. I enjoyed my Lavender Honey Latte that was not too sweet and very smooth. In addition, I had a delicious cinnamon roll that the barista heated for me and this complimented my latte very well. The baristas was very friendly and gave out positive vibes. We wanted a snack/treat in the afternoon. Inkwell & Brew has some gluten free and dairy free baked goods that are from Spruce Confections. They also have dairy free milk for beverages. I find that cafes that are also roasters usually do the best job of really trying to put out proper coffee as opposed to just cranking out drinks as fast as possible. I ordered a latte. It was peaceful, especially along the river and adjoining park where there are lots places to snuggle into and enjoy your first warm sip of the day, enjoying the clean mountain air of Estes Park.
