There was a line when we got there, and it was out the door by the time we reached the front. Inside is small up front, but there's more seating around the corner plus plenty outside along the riverwalk area. The place was clean, the staff efficient and friendly, and it's a cute spot to sit. Large coffee menu, plus sandwiches, toasts, and snacks made fresh to order. Seasonal coffees -- tried a campfire-type and a coconut-type. Both fine. Not bad, not the best I've had, and not something I'd rush back for. Breakfast sandwich on a croissant -- my biggest gripe. Utterly dry and almost tasteless. The sausage, egg, and cheese were gas-station ready-to-go territory. Their bread comes in fresh-baked, but they ran the croissant through the toaster and torched it, which only made it drier. A breakfast sandwich should be juicy, cheesy, buttery -- this one needed a sauce just to get it down. Sandwich on sourdough -- a little better, but still just okay. Fine place if you're already in the area, and the coffee's fine, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. Would recommend, would not return.

Inside, the atmosphere is modern yet cozy, and both days we were lucky enough to snag a window booth. Our first experience set the tone right away. We walked in just as a server was arriving for her shift. Noticing nobody was at the host stand, she seated us before even putting away her personal belongings. That's customer service. For breakfast, I ordered a special that I can't seem to find on the menu now--an Eggs Benedict with pulled pork. I debated swapping the greens for potatoes but decided to be healthy. To my surprise, the dish was served on crispy potato pancakes instead of an English muffin, which meant I got the best of both worlds. The combination was fantastic, and honestly, I think Eggs Benedict works even better on potato pancakes than on bread. Every bite was packed with flavor. The next morning, I made myself try something different, even though I was tempted to order the same thing again. I chose the Cambridge Skillet: smoked ham and bacon with jack and cheddar cheeses over seasoned ranch potatoes, topped with two over-easy eggs and creamy hollandaise. It was delicious and hearty, although my first day's breakfast still edged it out as my favorite. I also sampled my friend's whole wheat blueberry pancake. It was enormous and surprisingly flavorful. I especially appreciated that many of their sweeter breakfast options come with eggs and a choice of bacon or sausage. It's a nice balance and makes for a more satisfying meal. There are literally hundreds of different types to choose from. The store is themed after the Stanley Hotel, the famous hotel where The Shining was filmed. So the store has a historic feel. They also offer a tour with the opportunity to make your own chocolate. It costs $35 a person in July 2026 so only the kid did it. She said she liked the tour and she came back a big piece of chocolate that she made herself. It was good, almost professional quality. Overall, this was a fun stop during our stroll and everyone enjoyed it.
