We grabbed 2 cherry Italian sodas with cream, a small cherry pie, just so it could taste what they were known for, some chocolate covered cherries and a cherry soda just to keep it on brand. The place was absolutely slammed on Labor Day weekend. Good food a great place to take a break and get off the road. The people behind the counter were extremely friendly and if you like cherry pie, it was a good pie They have a peach pie, but they were out, I've tried that. They also have T-shirts that talk about their chicken pot pie so that would be probably something to do. Finally their ice cream looked great also

Some awful lady was being extremely rude towards the pastry chef. She bought out almost the entire bakery, demanded things that weren't even on the menu, and then wanted MORE butter for a croissant... I'll let that speak for itself. Don't skip this place, rather you're headed in or out of town. Well worth the stop!

After spending several days in Estes Park, The Spice Rack won our hearts as our favorite coffee…read moreshop. Why? First, it is adorable tucked in woodlands just outside of town near a bubbling brook. The interior is spacious with the bakery, coffee shop, and store featuring spices and other local goodies. It is clean and has bathrooms. Second, the coffee is high quality and delicious! We tried a variety of different mistos, drip coffee, and cold brew...they were all great! And reasonably priced! Third, the bakery is incredible. We got a whole bunch of baked goods at the start of the trip and enjoyed them over the next few days. Some highlights included the bacon and egg pastry, the strawberry rhubarb fruit pastry, and the cinnamon twist. We also loved the blueberry fruit pastry, the egg and cheese pastry, the kouign amann , and the chocolate croissant. Finally, the staff were friendly and helpful. Always a great perk when the service is just as high quality as the product! The only con is that The Spice Rack is closed Monday and Tuesday, so be sure to stop by Wednesday through Sunday! You won't be disappointed!

If you're looking for a quick, affordable coffee stop with good drinks, friendly service, and pet-friendly outdoor seating, Raven's Roast is definitely worth a visit.

They also have a really impressive variety beyond coffee, all kinds of teas (white, green, oolong, black), smoothies, Italian sodas, fresh lemonade, plus cookies and other baked stuff. It's a great option if you're with non-coffee drinkers. This weekend I went with a friend who doesn't drink coffee soI got my usual post-hike latte but she got a smoothie she loved so much she went back again the next day after our hike to get another one. The staff is friendly and the space is cute with eclectic, fun decor. During winter visits, we always try to grab the two sofa seats by the fireplace since it's such a cozy spot.

This is what you get with Wildflower's key lime pie! Delicious!! Unfortunately, it was the only baked good we tried that day. With a bit more focus on the space / first-impressions for a customer, (plus a basic espresso machine for my coffee loving self), you have the workings of an A+ morning, afternoon, or evening experience! The staff was very friendly, and there coffee selection is extensive. They have a clean nice restroom for customers. The back room seemed to have many locals drinking coffee and using the WiFi. We ordered an iced coffee with whipped cream and an iced coffee with oat milk. Both were smooth and exactly what we needed. The outdoor area has many covered tables and benches along the large pond which is fed by a river/stream that runs behind the property. While enjoying our coffee and watching the ducks and geese, what do you think came cruising into the pond area. You guessed it! Elk, and lots of them! It was that good the first time that we decided to come back and do it all over again the next day. Parking is somewhat limited, but we arrived early on weekday mornings and had no trouble finding a spot. The restaurant is charming from the outside, with a colorful "Greetings from Estes Park" old postcard mural that makes for a great photo opportunity. Inside, the atmosphere is modern yet cozy, and both days we were lucky enough to snag a window booth. Our first experience set the tone right away. We walked in just as a server was arriving for her shift. Noticing nobody was at the host stand, she seated us before even putting away her personal belongings. That's customer service. For breakfast, I ordered a special that I can't seem to find on the menu now--an Eggs Benedict with pulled pork. I debated swapping the greens for potatoes but decided to be healthy. To my surprise, the dish was served on crispy potato pancakes instead of an English muffin, which meant I got the best of both worlds. The combination was fantastic, and honestly, I think Eggs Benedict works even better on potato pancakes than on bread. Every bite was packed with flavor. The next morning, I made myself try something different, even though I was tempted to order the same thing again. I chose the Cambridge Skillet: smoked ham and bacon with jack and cheddar cheeses over seasoned ranch potatoes, topped with two over-easy eggs and creamy hollandaise. It was delicious and hearty, although my first day's breakfast still edged it out as my favorite. I also sampled my friend's whole wheat blueberry pancake. It was enormous and surprisingly flavorful. I especially appreciated that many of their sweeter breakfast options come with eggs and a choice of bacon or sausage. It's a nice balance and makes for a more satisfying meal. The food, service, and atmosphere were consistently excellent on both visits. The Egg of Estes quickly became one of our favorite breakfast spots in Estes Park, and it's definitely somewhere we'll return on future trips.
