    Pork Green Chili Pocket

We stopped for lunch on the way to Rocky Mountain National Park. It's right of the highway making it a very convenient spot to stop. We got Pork Green Chili Pocket, Bison Chili, Apple Pie, and Almond Cherry Scone. We started with the dessert while our food was getting ready. We loved the Apple Pie and Almond Cherry Scone. The Pork Green Chili Pocket was great, very delicious. Bison Chili was good, the corn bread that came with it was good. We had a great lunch.

Such a lovely stop with a view of the mountains. This place has pies, jams, mustard, and more to take home! We also stopped to eat some warm pies there like the bison pot pie, pork green chili hand pie, buffalo chicken hand pie (a favorite!), and cherry streusel. They were all delicious!!

I did a four-day trip to Rocky Mountain National Park and drove by this place multiple times on my drive from Lyons to Estes Park and back. I was curious about it and made a stop at the end of one of my days. Colorado Cherry Company is family-owned and specializes in everything cherry and other berries. This location is a bakery, restaurant and gift shop. They have several products here like ciders, preserves, juices, hot sauces, popcorn, coffee and soaps. The store itself is very charming. The staff was nice and welcoming and answered all my questions. I would have loved to have taken a big pie back to my hotel. But it was my last night in Colorado and there was no way I could eat that whole thing by myself before my flight. They even have frozen take-home pies that you can bake at home. I ended up getting a Blueberry Pie Pocket to take back with me for a late-night dessert. I was a little hungry from my day in the park, so I also ordered a cup of Bison Chili to eat here before I left. They have tables both inside and outside if you want to enjoy a meal or dessert while here. This was a great find and I am glad I stopped in. Colorado Cherry Company got their start as a roadside stand and now have a few location across Colorado. You are able to order their mini pies on their website to be delivered to your home.

This is literally off the road/highway. This was my first time in this location as I have always indulged in their cherry hand pies and coffee at the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park. There is a little market there of lots of cherry and berry things. I wish that I was not flying home and could have bought other items. Customer service was polite. Inside stayed with Flow of customers. Either grabbing and go or they stopped and enjoyed the shop and drink coffee with their yummy pastries or ice cream. I will be back love the cherry hand pies!!!

Awesome stop on the way to Rocky Mountain National Park. Loved the Cherry and Blackberry pocket pies. The staff were very friendly and explained the interesting latte options e.g. Cherry Vanilla latte. We bought the Dark Chocolate covered Cherries to go. The outdoors are beautiful and serve as a precursor to the Rocky Mountains drive.

Stopped here on our way back from Estes. Super cute shop and the hand pies were good. I personally really enjoyed the cherry oat bar.

Place was SLAMMED! Come here during the week for no lines. We got a personal bison pot pie (way too salty but still good,) and 2 cookies (PB Choc Chip and Cherry Choc Chip) which were both massive! Id definitly recommend the cookies and would have loved to try the pie as well. Cute little spot on the way to Estes. I wanted to send a pie back to WA state for my moms bday, but not for $17 shipping. Next time ill bring one on the plane. Stop by if youre wanting pie and/or cherry treats!

Go to the Colorado Cherry Company and get one of their baked meat pockets. Wow, they are really good! The pork green chili one is fabulous but the others are good, too. There are also fruit pie pockets and full fruit pies. There is a whole store of homemade products in the back. We couldn't decide on what to get, there were so many options. Honey, jellies, jams, salsas. So much good stuff!

I like it how there is another location other than the one in the hotel at Estes Park. We enjoy eating the fruit hand pies. It's the same crust as the pot pies. There are many preserves and other cherry and non-cherry items you can purchased. There's coffee and ice cream too. Line goes semi-quick but a nice place to stop before or after your trip up to the Rocky Mountain. There's a nice patio and indoor seating is limited but overall nice indoor cafe and store.

A Hidden Gem for Pie Lovers! If you're anywhere near this charming roadside pie shop, do yourself a favor and stop in! Their specialty is cherry pie, but I had a blueberry hand pie and it was absolutely amazing--flaky, flavorful, and perfectly sweet. I loved it so much, I went back the next day for another one! They also offer ice cream and ciders, which pair beautifully with the pies. The workers were friendly and fast. It's the kind of place that makes you feel instantly welcome. Highly recommend for anyone craving a delicious treat and a bit of small-town charm!

Been here twice and the experience was much better this time. Even though they were out of stock of cherry gummies they had just about everything else. Had to get the bing cherry ice cream this time and top off the experience with a cherry soda which they were running low. The girl who was at the ice cream station was down to earth and super nice. Made for a great visit. Even the person at the cash register handled the long line of customers were the utmost grace. Colorado Cherry Company makes for a great pit stop to and from Estes Park/Rocky Mountain National Park. You can get out of the car and stretch those legs. The shop itself is medium sized with an assortment of cherry snacks, jerkies, jams and anything else you can add cherries to. Highly recommended to get here early to get first dibs. However rest assured no matter what time you get there you will be met with a great shopping and snacking experience!

The staff here are so kind including Michael who always greets me with a smile. The cherry pie pocket as well as the ham and cheese pic pockets are my go to treats. Everything here is delicious and I highly encourage you to stop by when they're open and treat yourself. I've had the pot pie as well, it was very good. The views are serene and location is easy to access with tons of parking. The interior is bigger than expected and there is a patio to enjoy your food and drinks.

Otherwise, we were mightily disappointed. Saturday, late June ~1pm - we were seated quickly enough. Took a while for the server to take our order (~10 minutes before she came for our drink order) and it took well over 45 minutes for our food to come out! They weren't particularly busy (lots of open tables) and there were a lot of servers. Maybe short staffed in the kitchen? Probably more disappointing than waiting so long was the food itself. Potato soup was "fine" but nothing special and way too much bacon. Three of us got side salads and every single one of us had warm lettuce. Not even room temperature - warm, like it had been sitting under a heat lamp. The turkey panini had way more mayo that should be allowed on a sandwich and the bread was barely toasted. We waited so long for our food we couldn't risk sending it back. As it was, we were there for so long we had to change our afternoon plans to go to RMNP because we rain out of time. Fortunately, we live only an hour away so we can go back. If you are looking to maximize your time in Estes I would not recommend Notchtop. Plenty of other options in Estes.

Even though they were slammed, she never changed her smile, tone, or attitude. I was very impressed. The space was eclectic with some very fun decor. The outdoor patio was unusable as people were smoking, which was disappointing. The reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars was due to the man making the food/drinks. It was that good the first time that we decided to come back and do it all over again the next day. Parking is somewhat limited, but we arrived early on weekday mornings and had no trouble finding a spot. The restaurant is charming from the outside, with a colorful "Greetings from Estes Park" old postcard mural that makes for a great photo opportunity. Inside, the atmosphere is modern yet cozy, and both days we were lucky enough to snag a window booth. Our first experience set the tone right away. We walked in just as a server was arriving for her shift. Noticing nobody was at the host stand, she seated us before even putting away her personal belongings. That's customer service. For breakfast, I ordered a special that I can't seem to find on the menu now--an Eggs Benedict with pulled pork. I debated swapping the greens for potatoes but decided to be healthy. To my surprise, the dish was served on crispy potato pancakes instead of an English muffin, which meant I got the best of both worlds. The combination was fantastic, and honestly, I think Eggs Benedict works even better on potato pancakes than on bread. Every bite was packed with flavor. The next morning, I made myself try something different, even though I was tempted to order the same thing again. I chose the Cambridge Skillet: smoked ham and bacon with jack and cheddar cheeses over seasoned ranch potatoes, topped with two over-easy eggs and creamy hollandaise. It was delicious and hearty, although my first day's breakfast still edged it out as my favorite. I also sampled my friend's whole wheat blueberry pancake. It was enormous and surprisingly flavorful. I especially appreciated that many of their sweeter breakfast options come with eggs and a choice of bacon or sausage. It's a nice balance and makes for a more satisfying meal. The food, service, and atmosphere were consistently excellent on both visits. The Egg of Estes quickly became one of our favorite breakfast spots in Estes Park, and it's definitely somewhere we'll return on future trips.
