I'm usually picky about any cherry flavored bc a lot of cherry flavored products tastes too artificial. But here it's an exception! Pork Green Chili Pocket $7.5 was also delicious. Not spicy. The pork inside is chunck but tender and has a great bite to it. I would get it again. I'm planning to try their pot pies next visit! Colorado Cherry Company was a fun stop and definitely worth visiting! We had already eaten breakfast, so we didn't get a chance to try one of their famous pies, but they looked delicious. We picked up a bottle of cherry wine, some cherry popcorn, and cherry honey as gifts for a family member who loves anything cherry. It was really neat to see just how many different cherry products they offer--you can tell they've gotten creative with it! The shop itself is cute, well-stocked, and opens early, which made it an easy stop during our day. They also have pet-friendly outdoor seating, which is always a bonus for us. I had a question about one of the wines, and while the younger employee helping me wasn't sure of the answer, he immediately went to ask someone else who was able to help. I always appreciate when staff take the time to find the right information instead of guessing. Plenty of parking as well! Overall, it's a charming local shop with unique products and friendly service. We'll definitely stop back next time--hopefully for a slice of cherry pie! read more

The cherry ciders were interesting as I am not someone who usually enjoys cherry at all. The blackbeary was my preferred over the original. We got Pork Green Chili Pocket, Bison Chili, Apple Pie, and Almond Cherry Scone. We started with the dessert while our food was getting ready. We loved the Apple Pie and Almond Cherry Scone. I did a four-day trip to Rocky Mountain National Park and drove by this place multiple times on my drive from Lyons to Estes Park and back. I was curious about it and made a stop at the end of one of my days. Colorado Cherry Company is family-owned and specializes in everything cherry and other berries. This location is a bakery, restaurant and gift shop. They have several products here like ciders, preserves, juices, hot sauces, popcorn, coffee and soaps. The store itself is very charming. The staff was nice and welcoming and answered all my questions. I would have loved to have taken a big pie back to my hotel. But it was my last night in Colorado and there was no way I could eat that whole thing by myself before my flight. They even have frozen take-home pies that you can bake at home. I ended up getting a Blueberry Pie Pocket to take back with me for a late-night dessert. I was a little hungry from my day in the park, so I also ordered a cup of Bison Chili to eat here before I left. They have tables both inside and outside if you want to enjoy a meal or dessert while here. This was a great find and I am glad I stopped in. Colorado Cherry Company got their start as a roadside stand and now have a few location across Colorado. This is literally off the road/highway. This was my first time in this location as I have always indulged in their cherry hand pies and coffee at the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park. There is a little market there of lots of cherry and berry things. I wish that I was not flying home and could have bought other items. Customer service was polite. Inside stayed with Flow of customers. Either grabbing and go or they stopped and enjoyed the shop and drink coffee with their yummy pastries or ice cream. Place was SLAMMED! Come here during the week for no lines. We got a personal bison pot pie (way too salty but still good,) and 2 cookies (PB Choc Chip and Cherry Choc Chip) which were both massive! There are many preserves and other cherry and non-cherry items you can purchased. There's coffee and ice cream too. Colorado cherry company is what the kids would call mid. I was hoping to walk into a shop with a nice display case full of pies but did not see much besides other pastries. They had the pies hidden in the back so I got a strawberry rhubarb slice heated up. It was too tart and sour for me. Crust was soggy. Loved this little stop along our way from Denver to Estes Park for a weekend. It's located outside of the main strip of businesses in Lyons with its own parking lot which makes it easy to pull off of the highway for. We popped in on a Friday morning and it wasn't too crowded. We were there mainly to try the cherry pie but also grabbed some cherry cider for the road. The menu had a nice assortment of sweet and savory goodies. I definitely want to come back and try one of their many varieties of hand pies the next time we make the journey. The cherry pie was delicious! Next time, I would love it warmed up with a scoop of vanilla ice cream to make it all the better, but it was good served room temp too. On the way out, I snagged a sample of some apple pie and that was just as satisfying. There were lots of fun cherry-inspired treats to grab for yourself or as gifts.
