I will say this restaurant is obviously very beautiful but it is also in the running for having the worst eggs benedict I have ever had. The eggs were barely poached so the whites were runny and translucent and were covered by a strange tasting and split hollandaise. The potatoes were okay but barely warm. I lost my appetite immediately. My husband brought this up to our server and he just said that's how they do it here. He didn't ask if I would like something else until after my husband was done with his parfait which was strange. At least he took my dish off of the bill. I'm sure there are good things on the menu but I can't say I would ever return here even if I was staying at the Stanley again.

This was the fanciest breakfast we've ever had. Well worth the price just make sure to reserve a table ahead of time. We got the blueberry pancakes, bushwhacker, and chilaquiles. All the food was amazing! The chilaquiles was my favorite. It was basically breakfast nachos. The bushwhacker was also amazing. My 10 year old loved it! Not to mention the scenic view from our table.

Visited on my last day in Colorado. I made reservations for brunch as a precaution but I think we would have been seated quickly regardless. The restaurant is located on the Stanley property and the outdoor dinning views are just gorgeous. Our server was on it and checked in multiple times to make sure all was well. Our food did take some time but was delicious. The coffee was basic but I just couldn't get over the views. It definitely is on the higher end for Estes Park but I expected that given the location.

Definitely the best brunch location in Estes Park! The food was fresh, house-made and absolutely delicious. I opted for the eggs benedict and shared a lemon blueberry pancake... wow wow wow. I'd highly recommend both. The fresh, fluffy biscuits alone were to die for. Service was fast and friendly, and there's great views of Estes Park from the dining room. Definitely give Brunch & Co. a try if you're in town!

I ordered the lobster roll. Completely dry. I chose the home potatoes which were also very dry, had to get ranch just to eat them. $42 bucks with tip is not worth it at all. Service, waitress was nice but charged me for ranch knowing I didn't enjoy the lobster roll. The host was tired and didn't smile or seem to want to be there. Food and drinks were not served in order they were taken. Plus, you have to pay 10 to park there. Ambiance is hard to beat with the views and the only reason for the 2 stars. I used to recommend this place, I will no longer do so. Disappointed.

The chilaquiles fiasco: cheese removed to the left and what I left on my plate inedible to the right.

First the good. You can't beat sitting down and relaxing for a meal inside the Stanley Hotel. The views are memorable. Also, the pottery used to plate the food is beautiful as were the flowers on the table and other touches. Unfortunately, the bad was the food. I ordered the Chilaquiles which I told the waiter was something I order often... asking if it was authentic and good, to which she yes, but to add chorizo to it to make it better (which I did). The dish was described as handmade chips with green and red salsa with 2 eggs (so far so good) - but when it arrived it was 1) cold 2) chips were cold and mushy and hidden under a pound of cheese with a beautiful pile of chorizo however. But I had to send it back because the large donut of melted hardened cold cheese around the edge of the plate was very unappetizing. When it came back, the chorizo was gone... the soggy chips were the same, the eggs were removed and replaced with perfectly cooked ones, but then the entire plate was once again covered in an additional pound of cheese and then melted. It was literally inedible. I took 5 minutes to scoop out the mountain of melted cheese onto another plate and another to separate out the soggy chips (that were flavorful) to eat with my eggs but all was again cold after this whole ordeal. On an upside, my daughter's French toast looked and tasted beautiful. Another smaller but valid issue is that the coffee was horrible... nice hotel- nice restaurant--- quality coffee seems like it could be a simple fix... and the coffee cups were the smallest I had ever seen, making it necessary to be filled after 2-3 swigs -- which of course is impossible unless you have someone dedicated to roaming the dining room filling cups, which they did not. The service was friendly and they did try very hard to address the issues with the food - which finally ended with the manager taking the inedible dish off our bill. (Appreciated) She also offered to replace it with something else, but that moment had passed.... The main disappointment, other than not being able to eat my breakfast, was that the night before I had eaten an incredible dinner at the Cascade restaurant in the main hotel where everything was amazing and had incredible attention to detail. I'll leave you with 2 thoughts: no one should order or definitely eat the Chilaquiles. It's a heart attack waiting to happen, and the view is gorgeous, but skip the coffee and get tea or orange juice instead.

As Brunch & Co is part of the Stanley Hotel, I was expecting mediocre food at outrageous prices. I was dead wrong. This was the best brunch I have ever had. The aesthetic is the same as the Stanley - upscale haunted Rocky Mountain lodge. The menu is "The Shining"-themed, down to blood splatters on the pages. We started with lavender mimosas, which were amazing - even brunching all over Los Angeles for decades, I haven't had such a delicious mimosa. We chose two of their Signature plates, the Here's Johnny! and the Mrs. Grady. Here's Johnny was a scratch-made buttermilk biscuit housing ham, egg, gruyère, hollandaise, a sweet mostarda, and a "maple bourbon gastrique". It was absolutely phenomenal. Mrs. Grady was fried chicken and waffles, served with slaw and syrup. Hearty portions; outstanding flavour. I'll repeat: this was the best brunch I have ever had. The mimosas, the quality of the meats and scratch-made items, the ingenuity, the theme, the location - I wish I could come here every weekend and try every dish!

Although we weren't staying at the Stanley, I'm so glad I read the reviews here and stopped in for breakfast today. We had just a short wait but were able to be seated on the front porch. Beautiful views and weather, servers were on point. The universe was smiling down on us! Hubs ordered coffee and decreed it was very good and he is a real coffee snob. I had the classic bene which looked delicious - but the biscuit was a bit dry and overly large. The "salad" that took up much of the plate was sadly just dry greens. My husband's steak breakfast was good, steak was perfect but over medium eggs were pretty undercooked and had to request replacements which came out quickly and were perfect. The food was really tasty and even with the "issues " we would totally go back again!

Amazing food and service. Great view of the mountains from your table. Would definitely eat there again.

First time here, it was a quiet little stop. Service was fast and attentive. This is probably the best brunch I had in Este Park. Everything on that breakfast plate was beautifully cooked with a balance of texture and flavor.

Food was amazing! Service was excellent we had a minor hiccup but she fixed it immediately with no problems. It's a cute, quaint restaurant and obviously a plus it's at The Stanley Hotel! They tell you a longer wait then it actually is FYI! We were told 30 minutes it was actually 10.

    Brunch & Co. Bloody Mary

You can't beat the ambience for smooth brunch environment. Any table inside provides at least some great views. Weather permitting an outdoor table will leave you breathless. But the ambiance is quickly smothered by the blaring rotation of pop music. An occasional smooth jazz tune brings you back in time with the surroundings, but few and far between. Servings are generous. By far, the Strawberry Shortcake stole the show! Eggs Benedict were tasty, but drowned in sauce. Would still get again. Crepes got a thumbs up! With ingredients being locally sourced, occasionally they run out of some ingredients. Though not all servers know as we had return visits to our table asking for substitutions. Overall service is very good. Mostly friendly and pleasant. Albeit slow. Was half deep into the Bloody Mary before our order was taken. But that's not a bad thing!

    Rude hostess!
    Al R.

Hostess was so rude! Our party of 3 requested a table by the window. There were several that were empty. Two were taken, by parties of 3. She told us they save those for larger parties. I looked at the 2 tables seating 3, and she said, yeah, I know but I'm going to follow the policy. Wait, what? Thanks for making our first impression of The Stanley a really bad one. By the way, the only other party to arrive while we ate was a party of 2. Food and our waiter were fine, but she kinda ruined it for us for no good reason. Sorry, would not recommend this place.

Otherwise, we were mightily disappointed. Saturday, late June ~1pm - we were seated quickly enough. Took a while for the server to take our order (~10 minutes before she came for our drink order) and it took well over 45 minutes for our food to come out! They weren't particularly busy (lots of open tables) and there were a lot of servers. Maybe short staffed in the kitchen? Probably more disappointing than waiting so long was the food itself. Potato soup was "fine" but nothing special and way too much bacon. Three of us got side salads and every single one of us had warm lettuce. Not even room temperature - warm, like it had been sitting under a heat lamp. The turkey panini had way more mayo that should be allowed on a sandwich and the bread was barely toasted. We waited so long for our food we couldn't risk sending it back. As it was, we were there for so long we had to change our afternoon plans to go to RMNP because we rain out of time. Fortunately, we live only an hour away so we can go back. If you are looking to maximize your time in Estes I would not recommend Notchtop. Plenty of other options in Estes.

It was that good the first time that we decided to come back and do it all over again the next day. Parking is somewhat limited, but we arrived early on weekday mornings and had no trouble finding a spot. The restaurant is charming from the outside, with a colorful "Greetings from Estes Park" old postcard mural that makes for a great photo opportunity. Inside, the atmosphere is modern yet cozy, and both days we were lucky enough to snag a window booth. Our first experience set the tone right away. We walked in just as a server was arriving for her shift. Noticing nobody was at the host stand, she seated us before even putting away her personal belongings. That's customer service. For breakfast, I ordered a special that I can't seem to find on the menu now--an Eggs Benedict with pulled pork. I debated swapping the greens for potatoes but decided to be healthy. To my surprise, the dish was served on crispy potato pancakes instead of an English muffin, which meant I got the best of both worlds. The combination was fantastic, and honestly, I think Eggs Benedict works even better on potato pancakes than on bread. Every bite was packed with flavor. The next morning, I made myself try something different, even though I was tempted to order the same thing again. I chose the Cambridge Skillet: smoked ham and bacon with jack and cheddar cheeses over seasoned ranch potatoes, topped with two over-easy eggs and creamy hollandaise. It was delicious and hearty, although my first day's breakfast still edged it out as my favorite. I also sampled my friend's whole wheat blueberry pancake. It was enormous and surprisingly flavorful. I especially appreciated that many of their sweeter breakfast options come with eggs and a choice of bacon or sausage. It's a nice balance and makes for a more satisfying meal. The food, service, and atmosphere were consistently excellent on both visits. The Egg of Estes quickly became one of our favorite breakfast spots in Estes Park, and it's definitely somewhere we'll return on future trips.

So I asked them if they could make me a cold brew lemonade and they happily obliged. 2/3 cold brew, 1/3 lemonade, I love this stuff. It sounds odd, but trust me, it goes down smooth on a hot day! What we liked: Our waiter was really hospitable, friendly, and did his best to provide service in a timely way despite being the only server available for all the customers. The coffee was decent, though in a small mug, and so was the hot chocolate we orders for the kids (which came with whipped cream, much to their delight!). The decor on the walls felt kind of scanty but what is there was cute. There is a pretty wide pie selection. Food serving sizes were okay. The single person bathroom was clean. What we didn't like: *The $2 veg add-ins of onion and jalapeños to the $12 omelette were raw. *The corned beef hash was extremely basic and barely seasoned, the potatoes were well cooked but bland and pale. It was edible but not worth $15. *Our party ordered a $9 bread bowl soup and waffle fries as well; it was eaten but the cheese ingredient was really overpowering in flavor - the small size was a good thing, in this case, because otherwise it couldn't have been finished. *The batter on the chicken tenders in the kid's meal were almost burnt on the edges, but still pale everywhere else. Something off with the oil temperature I guess. They didn't get eaten. *The color of everything was pretty much all beige and served on white plates, which impacted the impression of the meal - zero visual appeal. One of my favorite parts of eating at mom-and-pop diners is the way the meals feel homey, warming you from the inside out. This did not create that kind of impression. Lastly, the pie (which was the main draw for us and why we picked this dining option). We ordered one slice of rhubarb at $6.25. The pie was very disappointing - something in it was either stale or had gone bad. It tasted really unpleasant and we ended up throwing it away. Our total for everything was about $80 with tip and it was sadly not money well spent. We love stand alone dining options but probably will not be returning.
