    Rueben
    Kathleen N.

We came here after a hike to get a quick bite and it did not disappoint. I appreciated how this was a locally owned restaurant and that everything is made in house. We got the turkey, bacon, avocado and the Rueben. Out of the two, my favorite was the turkey! The Rueben was okay, a little too much sauerkraut for my liking but the bread it was on was very crisp! I would come back here again for a quick bite!

Worried about food safety! There was a massive bolt in my sandwich along with a metal shard I had to pick out. I'm honestly shocked I've never had that happen before. I'm glad I could see it immediately and pull it out so I didn't chip a tooth but I was worried about other metal debris. Not sure how this happened. It's too bad because the sandwiches looked delicious! Also paid 40$ for both sandwiches. I would choose somewhere else next time.

Veggie wrap - but on herbed focaccia.

Was looking for a quick bit after visiting Rocky Mountain National Park and this came up. Nice array of options and manager was friendly! My husband got the grilled cheese and said it was good. I ordered the veggie wrap but asked to have it on their herbed focaccia because it looked freaking amazing - and it was! Fluffy and delicious! Was a little worried about meat contamination so I just suggest asking them to make sure surfaces and knives are veggie-friendly and you should be good!

Really good bakery for breakfast, lunch or dessert. For Lunch really liked the turkey avocado bacon sandwich and Italian sandwich. The bread is fresh and so incredibly good. also tried carrot cake and cherry banana bread - both amazing as well

I loved everything about this place from the fresh veggie wrap, friendly employees, clean tables and restroom. The prices were also extremely reasonable for large portions. My boyfriend loved his turkey on homemade focaccia as well. Great place with a positive and warm vibe! We will be back during our next Colorado visit!

Outstanding sandwiches. Never disappoints. Excellent French bread. Lots of meat and fresh veggies. Flavor and texture on point!

Vegan Philly cheese steak (nearest sando) and normal Philly cheese steak (farther one).

Got a vegan Philly and a normal Philly! Both were really good! I have an allergy to dairy and being able to just easily pick something with no anxiety - amazing. Fiancé got a cookie as well and said it was delish! It was bigger than his face haha Would stop by here again!

A great place to stop before heading into RMNP. The staff was super helpful and made sure our sandwiches would be well packed for our hike. The sandwiches were delicious and ingredients were so fresh. The breakfast burrito was also quite good, we were lucky to get some sticky buns fresh out of the oven. Pulling out of the parking lot can be a bit tricky so be careful. Can't recommend this place enough!

Breakfast Burrito- picture doesn't do it justice!!

Delightful Home feel Breakfast Burritos! Cinnamon Rolls the size of a catcher's mitt. Sandwich that make your mouth water, or you can order what you want on it. Clean and on spot service. Great place to watch people and enjoy yourself. Plan your day starting here!!

It is a smaller place that is harder to turn in and out of as it was right in the middle of an intersection. However, it is a cute little place- around 15 people of seating (mostly outdoor). Service was relatively fast. But, because it is small, if you are behind a couple of other customers it will take around 5 minutes per sandwich. I ordered the Italian Sandwich!

Really well made sandwiches. Our group tried the Italian, Reuben, and Turkey Bacon Avocado and all three were great. Greeted by friendly staff at the counter when we entered for our late lunch. There is some outdoor and indoor seating to give you a view of RMNP as a backdrop.

Some of the best sandwiches in Estes Park!! My fiance loves sandwiches so he's always on the lookout for sandwich shops! To say he was excited for this place is an understatement. The little shop makes everything from scratch, from the breads to the deli meats! They'll carve the meat and make your sandwiches to-order! The portions are large and they give you a lot of meat! Fiance say it's the best sandwich he's ever had!! Bold statement! They're good and they're friendly! A little wait for your food but it's well worth grabbing one to dine in or to-go to enjoy after your hike in the mountains. Seating is limited to counter space inside but there are some tables on the patio is well.

Excellent Local Deli, Everything tastes like it was made fresh. This restaurant needs more recognition it is one of the best local restaurants in Estes Park. Service was great all staff was kind. Ambience was nice it is themed as old fashion restaurant.

View from the counter seating on the front porch. Best dining ambience you could ever want!

These sandwiches? Fuggedaboutit. Dry, flavorless, and thinner than my cousin Vinny's patience. If this is what they're calling a "hit," then it's a miss, capisce? We ordered The Uncle Tony, which comes with salami, pepperoni, mortadella, provolone, lettuce, tomato, pepperoncini, black olives, and oil & vinegar on a hoagie. This was, without question, the saddest sandwich I've ever had the displeasure of paying for. One flimsy slice of each meat and cheese, and the bare minimum of veggies they could legally get away with. If Uncle Tony knew his name was being slapped on this, he'd have made The Sandwich Mafia sleep with the fishes. Their Instagram? Fugazi. It's all thick stacks of meat, cheese, and toppings. But what you actually get is a sad, limp excuse for a sandwich. Check the photos I posted if you need the visual heartbreak. Do yourself a favor--save your appetite, your wallet, and your dignity. Go eat somewhere else. Heck, even Subway would've been a hundred times better... and that's saying something.

This little rest stop/restaurant/gift store sits up at almost 12,000 feet! I come about once a year on my birthday and hike up to the very top and get my picture taken with my friends in front of the altitude sign. It's nice to know you're getting older and can still make it to the top! Look for the trail just off to the left of the parking lot and the main building and just go up up up. Breathe slowly and take slow steps: you'll feel it! Once you've made the altitude journey, you have clearly earned some hot chocolate and a sit down with a view. Enter the gift shop and head back to the restaurant where you can order coffee, hot cocoa, sandwiches etc. This is not foodie dining. This is a glorified rest stop. Expect 7-Eleven quality fare and you will be pleased. Grab a table by the window and look down into the glacial Valley - do you see elk? Moose? Blue skies? A storm coming? Whenever you are there you will see something new and the views are amazing! Bathrooms are satisfactory for being in the wilderness on top of the tundra. Gift store is pretty spectacular - they have really nice quality T-shirts with Rocky Mountain national Park graphics, some cool pottery and even jewelry - tons of books, and all of the usual tourist junk. What you're getting here for your journey is an amazing view at the top of the Rockies, accompanied by a nice hot drink, a snack, a bathroom break, and a souvenir!

I stopped to watch herds of Elk & Deer plus several Moose grazing @ dusk right off TRR. Driving West, it was a thrill to cross the Continental Divide. There was a large pulloff that nearly everyone stopped at. The Trail Ridge Store & Cafe' was @ the Top, next to the Alpine Visitors Center. The amount of merchandise on display was mind-boggling, as were the # of sacks carried out the door. To me, it looked like enough $$$$ profit, annualized, to make a dent in the Federal Deficit. & After the Lunch crowd cleared out, a string of Employees went in & out of the Stockroom carrying large boxes of merchandise to replenish the racks & shelves. The Cafe' didn't have many choices of real food other than dry snacks & Nathan's Hot Dogs for $5.50. No ice or cups @ all. Early-leaf-peeping along Trail Ridge Road was pretty good ~ shades of gold & orange in small clusters surrounded by evergreens. IDK whether they pave new pulloffs during Winters? But I could not clearly see nor photograph some of the best color scenery along the way. I especially loved the switchbacks & the places where I could see another part of the road above or below me.
