Service was good as staff was friendly, but the ice cream was sub par. I got a single scoop of cookie dough and was rather underwhelmed..$6 later. The cookie dough itself seemed to lack flavor and was a bit dry. However, my sister got the vanilla mall and was raving about it. It was big enough to share, so she split with my aunt who also loved it. Long story short - the malt seems to be the better route to go!!

Now this was tasty! The cones were fresh, and warm.. an ice cream lovers dream! A perfect spot after a long hike!

There are so many ice cream places to choose in Estes Park. Of course, I used Yelp to narrow it down - as always, it didn't disappoint. The Danish Cone Factory has so many homemade cones to choose from! I sampled a few flavors, all were delicious. I went with wedding cake ice cream in a funfetti looking cone. It was is amazing! Super creamy and flavorful. The cone was perfect. I was just visiting the area, but I wish there was a Danish Cone Factory local to me.

We had a great experience! The cone options were so fun and everything was reasonably priced considering. I got chocolate in a peanut butter cone and it was fantastic! My husband also enjoyed his ice cream.

I didn't even plan on getting any taffy but there is something in the air once you walk in so it's impossible to walk away empty handed. So many different flavors and you can pick and choose anything you like. I do think it's a bit expensive for a small box of taffy but it's expected for a touristy trap. Personally I do think that there are better taffy places up there. The ice cream is, well, ice cream! Nothing special but hits the spot after a long day of hiking!

Doggo enjoying a little vanilla ice cream

Good ice cream--really fun flavors like caramel Java chip and very kind staff :) Felt like a sweet family place--we will definitely stop here again. Its a great place to stop in Estes Park. Any place that will be nice to my dog is immediately top of my list :-)

Was really good and different flavor, the Mexican chocolate - the one scoop was like a super scoop Zane liked the vanilla and cookies and cream scoop Waffle cone was good, sweet flavor

Blueberry cheesecake = berry poggers. Wish we could do two flavors per cup/cone. The menu was a bit confusing - it wasn't clear that the cone was priced in already. Overall a nice place and I'd definitely go back.

Unique looking cones with different flavors! The cone is not crunchy like waffle cone or sugar cone. So if you are in for some crunch, Danish cones are not for you! We like it though. We will certainly come back for a different flavor!

My family of 5 stopped by here, and across the board we all said 5 stars. They all got birthday cake. I got a salted Oreo malt.

Unfortunately, he didn't seem very interested in helping or ensuring we received what we asked for. We purchased three pieces of chocolate for $23, which already felt expensive, and when we returned to our hotel we realized they had given us the wrong chocolates--no tiger butter at all. We tried calling the shop to address the mistake, but it went straight to voicemail. Between the lack of customer service, the error with our order, and the high price point, the experience was very disappointing. For the cost, the quality did not meet expectations. Sadly, this place feels past its prime, and I wouldn't recommend it.

That being said, the elderly gentleman who took our order wasn't nearly as sweet as the product he was selling. In fact, he seemed put out to see a patron enter into his establishment at all. Regardless of the stale service received, this is a unique spot for families, with plenty of space for kids to run around, amidst a fun colorfully lit backdrop that gives off an arcade feel from an era gone by. The framed canine on the wall, much beloved by its owner, is a cute touch too. The sweet snacks once sampled back in the car weren't terribly fresh, but we plan to visit again and try more items on the expansive menu.

We were drawn to this one being a bit off the beaten path (just turn down one of the side streets) and the prospect of vegan flavors. While I'm not vegan, I love vegan ice creams! The shop owner was super kind in letting us sample flavors before ordering. My most favorite was the vegan mint chocolate chip! It had a perfect delicate mint flavor and the right ratio of chocolate chip to mint (not every single bit was a chocolate chip, so it complimented rather than overpowering my cone). They even add rainbow sprinkles free which delights my inner child. We loved this shop so much we ate here three days in a row, and it was my favorite food adventures in Estes Park! My boyfriend tried Lavender Honey, Coffee with Bailey's, and Huckleberry Chocolate Chip and loved them all. I would also recommend the Elk Tracks and Cookie Dough Flavors. This place needs more hype! The interior of the shop was super cute. We enjoyed eating our cones along the river walk.

Love this place and will be thinking about it on our next trip through town. Wow! What a vibe!…read more Things were picking up by the time we got there for lunch. We were greeted by a really nice blonde girl that showed us our seats. She was down to earth and was just beaming with great vibes. Then we got Matt. As if the experience wasn't already great from hanging out with friends, Matt invited us with an amount of aloha that is only found in Hawaii! We ordered chips and onion dip. The ramekin that the onion dip came with was really small compared to the amount of chips we received. It was delicious! Maybe substitute toasted bread next time? I ordered the poke and that was outstanding! It came with a creamy ginger dip that tied things together. For being landlocked and in the mountains, this is a dish I will remember! Matt also brought out a Hong Kong sriacha that definitely elevated everything. The reggae (music), positive vibes, and down to earth feel was a great way to end our trip before getting back to the grind. What a place! The scenery speaks for itself too and the staff is top notch!

For entrees, we selected carnivore and sweet potato gnocchi. One major thing I liked about their dishes is the variety of vegetables within the soup and entrees. Carnivore had freshly sautéed broccoli, and Gnocchi had zucchini, onions, and cauliflowers. It makes the whole meal feel more healthy and balanced. We finished our meal with lady bird bread pudding. Overall the service was great and welcoming. Highly recommend! PS. They also offer to send out a postcard for you. I enjoyed writing the postcard in the restaurant!

All symptoms point to food poisoning. We will not be back. This was our first visit to You Need Pie. What we liked: Our waiter was really hospitable, friendly, and did his best to provide service in a timely way despite being the only server available for all the customers. The coffee was decent, though in a small mug, and so was the hot chocolate we orders for the kids (which came with whipped cream, much to their delight!). The decor on the walls felt kind of scanty but what is there was cute. There is a pretty wide pie selection. Food serving sizes were okay. The single person bathroom was clean. What we didn't like: *The $2 veg add-ins of onion and jalapeños to the $12 omelette were raw. *The corned beef hash was extremely basic and barely seasoned, the potatoes were well cooked but bland and pale. It was edible but not worth $15. *Our party ordered a $9 bread bowl soup and waffle fries as well; it was eaten but the cheese ingredient was really overpowering in flavor - the small size was a good thing, in this case, because otherwise it couldn't have been finished. *The batter on the chicken tenders in the kid's meal were almost burnt on the edges, but still pale everywhere else. Something off with the oil temperature I guess. They didn't get eaten. *The color of everything was pretty much all beige and served on white plates, which impacted the impression of the meal - zero visual appeal. One of my favorite parts of eating at mom-and-pop diners is the way the meals feel homey, warming you from the inside out. This did not create that kind of impression. Lastly, the pie (which was the main draw for us and why we picked this dining option). We ordered one slice of rhubarb at $6.25. The pie was very disappointing - something in it was either stale or had gone bad. It tasted really unpleasant and we ended up throwing it away. Our total for everything was about $80 with tip and it was sadly not money well spent. We love stand alone dining options but probably will not be returning.
