We popped in this little shop for ice cream. The little lady working has owned it for 43 years. She was very sweet and friendly and told me all about her shop. It's the cutest place and the most affordable for ice cream in the area. There is no space for seating but it is good for grabbing a treat and continuing on your way.

    Candy and homemade popcorn.

I love Estes Park because of shops like these! This family has run this caramel corn and candy shop for 40 years all their popcorn is homemade and it's outstanding. The owner loves chatting and they can chat for days! My favorite is the Chicago mix! Can't go wrong!

Joyce, one of the owners, was a pleasure to meet! And that ice cream? Delicious! What a wonderful little shop.

I never knew that The Caramel Crisp was such a staple in Estes but I am so glad I visited it this last trip. Joyce is such a sweetheart! She told us she makes all the chocolate goodies by hand and maaaaan, I believe her. Everything looked so good! She may be 86, but she's on top of her game--we got milk chocolate peanut clusters and cookie dough ice cream. Such happy campers! Definitely will be my go-to for goodies while in Estes from now on.

When visited in 2017 the proprietor said the shop was 77 years old. It's stayed in the family and they maintain a commitment to quality product. They use a unique dry heat popcorn popper from the industrial age that has been in the store since it started. The carmel crisp popcorn is fantastic and so are their chocolates. There are plenty of candy stores in Estes Park but this one should not be missed.

So this is the real deal. Caramel crisp is home of the caramel corn recipe for the last 40 years. With the plethora of shops in Estes it is easy to think they are all the same...they are not. Stop in here and the friendly staff will greet you and give you a sample. Trust me when I say you will want to leave with a bag. I got the Chicago mix and it was delicious. A+ caramel crisp...now I'm hooked

Every candy your could dream of!

Unfortunately, he didn't seem very interested in helping or ensuring we received what we asked for. We purchased three pieces of chocolate for $23, which already felt expensive, and when we returned to our hotel we realized they had given us the wrong chocolates--no tiger butter at all. We tried calling the shop to address the mistake, but it went straight to voicemail. Between the lack of customer service, the error with our order, and the high price point, the experience was very disappointing. For the cost, the quality did not meet expectations. Sadly, this place feels past its prime, and I wouldn't recommend it.

That being said, the elderly gentleman who took our order wasn't nearly as sweet as the product he was selling. In fact, he seemed put out to see a patron enter into his establishment at all. Regardless of the stale service received, this is a unique spot for families, with plenty of space for kids to run around, amidst a fun colorfully lit backdrop that gives off an arcade feel from an era gone by. The framed canine on the wall, much beloved by its owner, is a cute touch too. The sweet snacks once sampled back in the car weren't terribly fresh, but we plan to visit again and try more items on the expansive menu.

They've basically covered everything except the cash register in chocolate. Major credit for limitless options. It took me several minutes to finalize the impossible decision. Because I'm a s'mores girly, I opted for the chocolate dipped concoction of Graham crackers, marshmallows, and peanut butter. The aesthetic was on point. See picture! Decorated so adorably. Unfortunately the taste didn't quite match. The chocolate tasted minty? Not even like natural mint flavor but more like the taste of too much extract. This item wasn't advertised as something with mint included and it certainly wasn't welcome in a s'mores treat. Not sure if they add the mint flavor to all of their chocolate but be aware! It really messed with the flavor IMO. Ultimately it was a bit of a miss for me given the flavor. The service wasn't much to write home about either honestly but the employees weren't rude just not friendly or welcoming either. I'd skip this in favor of one of these other treat shops.
