We got into town Friday and this is our fifth time here! The coffee and tea are top quality and reasonably priced! The service is professional and friendly. The ambiance is wonderful and inviting! Diego runs a top notch establishment! If you are a coffee or tea lover and in the vicinity, you must try it! read more

I stopped by the Minturn Roastery Cafe expecting a high-quality cup since this is their main roasting facility, but the entire experience was incredibly disappointing. I ordered a cappuccino, and it was honestly the worst I've ever had. The espresso tasted burnt and bitter, and the milk was completely scalded with loose, airy bubbles rather than a proper micro-foam. To make matters worse, the staff was very cold and did not smile or greet me warmly at all. For a specialty coffee roaster showcasing premium beans and equipment, both the barista execution and the customer service fell completely flat today. I couldn't even finish the drink. read more

We stopped into Vail Mountain Coffee & Tea and are so happy we did! my London fog was good, and my husband had a coffee and a pastry which he really enjoyed. read more

We got rosemary chicken, grilled vegetarian, waffles, huevos rancheros burrito and portabella and ice cream, all equally tastey. Reasonable price in this expensive Vail. We recommend trying burrito of all. Very nice people as well. Little noisy but not that big deal. Very beautiful ambience. read more

Stopped in after finishing a backpack and had a great lavender honey latte. The barista, Caroline, was amazing and had a nice conversation with her. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. It's the perfect place for a coffee after finishing a long hike! read more

I'm a coffee snob and the coffee here is phenomenal. The tea selection is vast for all of the tea lovers out there. Definitely will come back here next time I'm in vail! read more

I had a tea from the store. It was very hot and decent flavor. I did buy some coffee to take home. The person at the register didn't ask if I wanted it ground. I don't know if that's the thing in Colorado. Back home our small coffee roaster will ask. If I went back to the area I don't think I would stop again. read more

Oh how I hesitate to leave this review. Because I just want this coffee shop to stay as chill as it is everytime I go in. I don't want others to know about it. It is the perfect, perfect spot to truly enjoy an amazing pour-over and read and study and look out the windows at the beauty of the mountains. Their roastery is here too, so that operation is fun to watch. Staff is chill, approachable. I never want to leave when I go in. read more

Me and two friends stopped by there last Thursday while skiing at Beaver Creek. All three of us were pleasantly surprised at just how good the coffee was. Too often, when you're eating/drinking in a very touristy spot, the location seems to take priority over the quality of the food. Not the case here. We made a point of taking note of this spot and will be sure to stop there again on any and all future coffee breaks when skiing at Beaver Creek. Give it a "shot" (heh heh) -- you won't be disappointed! -Joseph read more

Cute little coffee shop we stopped at for a quick coffee break during our road trip. It was a needed break, it was so quiet and welcoming here read more

I wanted a coffee shop that was easy to drive to from Vail Village and had a parking lot. Ended up driving here (about 10 min) every morning for the entire week I was in Vail. They open up early which was nice. Was a great way to start the day, grab a latte and something to eat and sit for a bit. Mostly locals there. Very nice mountain feel. They are working on the coffee bean production there as well. read more

We were so sad we didn't find this place till our last day! This is the best quality coffee we found in the Vail area. The service was excellent and the coffee was even better. Great pour over and great cold brew. read more

The most amazing gluten free baked goods! My 10yo daughter with celiac loved that she could pick whatever she wanted.

Terrible customer service ugh Maybe the other location is better but the minturn one is a big thumbs down. Weak coffee. Bad vibes read more

Really good find here and getting my favorite 6 shot Americano and honey put together now. Nice setting in strip mall area. Nice seating here if one chooses to hang out. I like. read more

The coffee here is amazing!!! I always get the same thing when I visit. Mocha, 16oz, oat milk, 4 shots of espresso. I was going every Saturday until the virus, and they had my order down to a T as soon as I walked in. The staff is very knowledgeable, friendly, and always smiling. It's a great atmosphere in there as well. Can't wait to go back and sit and enjoy my coffee inside! read more

This place was great. Tucked away a little but great ambiance. Quiet, and the coffee and pastries were really good. Perfect stop during our vacation. read more

This place was flippin' awesome! We stopped in for coffee and breakfast on our road trip from Colorado to Oregon. I had a mocha and a spinach and feta croissant- wow. The croissant was so buttery with perfect layers, and the mocha was just the right balance. We also got some beignets that were made in France. Everything was delightful, and the interior had an awesome atmosphere. You could see into the roasting area, and they had lots of cool brewing devices in the shop. read more

The coffee is good but the server was terrible. He was rude and he laughed at some other customers.

What a sham. We had many places to choose from on a Sunday afternoon and chose a local spot instead of Starbucks. The guy repeated over and over again how tired he was and that he was working alone. He asked us to repeat our order so many times, we requested he write it down (iced dirty chai is not so rare?!). Then, when we asked for a straw, he said "they're bad for the environment so we give you a sippie cup instead." I replied, "LIKE A TODDLER?" He said they had no straws on the premises. I'm all for environmentally conscious but 1. there are compostable straws readily available for sale on the market and 2. If a coffee shop won't have straws for free, why not sell recycled plastic or glass or stainless steel straws? I would have totally paid $10 for a reusable straw. The service was bad. The drink was bad. And we threw our drinks in the garbage to go to Starbucks. I'm a local. The owner needs to do better. read more

This coffee place has always been on of our favorite places but today I was VERY disappointed in the service and the gentleman serving us was very unfriendly! Sad that this will be our last visit because there are far more to choose from! We also tried to call because we left something there and the phone said it was DISCONNECTED! Ugh! Not happy! read more

I visited the cafe/roastery location in Minturn while passing through as a tourist. I met one of the owners, and got a tour of the roasting facility just because I asked and he obliged. What a wonderful guy and company, in addition the coffee was absolutely fantastic. The smaller facility means the beans are roasted just minutes before they grind and brew them. Since my visit in person I have been ordering whole beans online from their website, and when they arrive they have the date of roasting on the bag, and are always super fresh and delicious. This is how to run a company, and the care they take comes through in the coffee they serve. What a wonderful experience to have at a small business. I will visit again one day, but in the meantime I'll be ordering online regularly! read more

Good vibes with lots of different seating options, wifi, and outlets. I only had the tea but there are lots of different options. Pastries also looked yummy! read more

Great nitro brew, great music, annnnd free wifi. Huge selection of high quality teas, too. Try the espresso caramel. read more

We stumbled into this coffee shop while passing through on a road trip. First off, it's nestled in a gorgeous little town that made me wish it were our destination. The shop is very airy and light filled, perfect for hanging out, working, or studying. The pastries were very light and perfectly flakey. Coffee was good, with a slightly different flavor that I enjoyed. 10 out of 10 would seek it out again! read more

Was in Vail snowboarding and saw this shop, looked like third wave coffee but definitely wasn't. The barista asked me if I liked dry or wet foam, and scalded the milk to probably 170 degrees. Drink wasn't terrible, bc the espresso was good, but it was a very poor representation of a cappuccino. read more

Vail Mountain coffee has the best cup of coffee in the valley... but their location is less than perfect for anybody west of Avon. This place is definitely my go-to for coffee in the valley and they have consistently been a locals favorite for decades. I usually order a pour over and it's always finished quick and the end product is delicious. Vail Mtn Coffee brews with Chemex, siphon, regular pour-over and drip, so if that's your thing, this place is home. Their espresso is very tasty and their espresso based drinks are yummy. Also be sure to try their nitro cold brew (on tap). All coffee is roasted in-house which creates such an inviting aroma. The baristas are genuine, kind and care about your experiences. The seating is cozy and inviting. The small snack offering are delicious (go for the beignets). All around, Vail Mountain coffee roasters is the place for amazing coffee and a comfortable place to enjoy company or get some work done! read more

Coffee was okay, the same way McDonalds McCafe is okay when you need a caffeine boost, but the server was straight up rude.

After having far too many single origin beans from the top boutique roasters in America, I can't say that those of Vail Mountain can hold a candle to the quality of roasters in Portland and San Francisco. Surprisingly, the beans are not terribly bitter for being in a grocery store and roasted long ago. Though VMCR doesn't find its way into the bigger network of artisan roasters of America used in classy shops, it is really good for local Coloradans. read more

The chai was delicious and my only critique is I wish they had larger sizes :) it's is a beautiful place and they clearly take their barista skills seriously by the look of their wares. It's the perfect place to stop off the highway for a relaxing "pit stop" and get a refreshing brew. read more

This is a must visit place for coffee enthusiasts if you are anywhere near Vail. Smell the beans, pick your coffee.

The coffee was good but the staff and other customers gave off a weird vibe. It's like they knew we were from out of town so therefore we weren't cool enough to be there. read more

A little out of the way if you're in Beaver Creek or Vail, but worth the drive. With the roastery being onsite, you get a lot more options to see, smell, taste coffee varietals than you would anywhere else. Knowledgeable barista with all the espresso drinks as well as manual pour overs, French press, siphon, etc. We had a pour over, cappuccino, and macchiato...all were good. Best variety I've found in the Vail Valley. read more

My favorite coffee roasters in CO. Vail Mountain's products are incredible. They're well-priced for high end coffee, low acid, richly flavored, cannot say enough good things. read more

If you show up wanting to sit around at a cafe and sip coffee with friends you'll be disappointed, but if you come with the expectation of getting some really great beans to take home at an amazing price you're going to walk out really happy. Favorite coffee shop. Great coffee, service and atmosphere. The only place you feel like you can sit and enjoy a cup of coffee in the mountains. We gave out their coffee beans at our wedding as favors. I received multiple messages afterwards thanking us for the amazing coffee. read more

I tried their nitro cold brew this morning at one of the restaurants that carries it... it's ok. It doesn't have a ton of flavor, the notes you do get are high and sour which are tasty if you like lighter roasts. You have to look for the finish, it's on the back of the tongue and somewhat deep but doesn't linger at all. You're mainly left with the sour citrus that makes me want to brush my teeth or eat something else to get rid of it. All in all I probably won't bother ordering it again though it is better than everything Starbucks sells. read more

I tried their nitro tea (what!!) this morning and then took some to go. It was hard to choose between the Kombucha on tap or a nice smooth latte. I'll be back - for I could sit in the Roastery Cafe for hours, sipping yummy drinks and gazing up onto Meadow Mountain. Great place to meet up with friends and get your jolt of espresso before heading up Grouse Mtn. Trail. Thanks for bringing back a community cafe to the Valley. read more
