I usually get a hot drink here though I have no need for food at this time of day. They are busy with students on their way to campus and the place has lots of outside space but not more than a small counter inside. So as winter approaches we will be moving nearby to a hotel lobby that can handle some seated discussions in the morning, once a week. We will be back in the spring when we can sit outside again. It's really nice when a local business steps up to help local groups. I think they will be expanding their customer base by having done this. I see many other customers getting hot bacon and egg options and pastries as well as drinks. Thank you Loving Cup!

Instead of simply acknowledging the mistake, he responded that it wasn't his problem and suggested the issue was with how I had ordered them. Later, my friend asked about the pie of the day and, after hearing it was apple, said, "That sounds good--I'd like the apple pie." I ordered the chocolate peanut butter cheesecake, which was actually excellent. When the server repeated the order back, he said, "Okay, two pieces of cheesecake." We politely clarified that we wanted one slice of apple pie and one slice of cheesecake. Again, he became visibly frustrated and implied the misunderstanding was our fault. The food was a mixed bag, but the interaction with our server really overshadowed the meal. Based on this experience, I'd suggest choosing a different restaurant for lunch next time. That said, it might still be worth checking out for happy hour or drinks.
