We absolutely love their ciders. So much so that we compare all others to them. The peach!! The vanilla bourbon!!! The cherry pear!!! It's all amazing. Friendly service at the indoor bar, with sweeter cider than I recall, and lots of kids. Brace yourself for Chucky Cheese Meets Cider bar, with good music. We stopped into The Old Mine in Erie and had a really nice experience. The atmosphere is great... cozy, lively, and full of that local charm that makes downtown Erie such a fun place to hang out. We stuck with wine and beer, and both were really solid options. They have a good selection, and everything we tried was served quickly and at the right temperature. The food was tasty, and the menu has a nice variety without feeling overwhelming. Service was friendly, attentive, and laid-back in the best way. This was my second place to stop for a beer in Erie. And while cider may be more there thing (there seems to be a connection to The Handlebar Factory & Taproom - https://www.yelp.com/biz/the-handlebar-factory-and-taproom-erie ) but I never quite figured out what. So while I did stop in for a beer, I did also try a cider, and like it. I was intrigued by the "cocktails" of a beer and cider mix, but not intrigued enough to try it. Service was very friendly. I did see some pizzas going out, and they being my favorite food group, made a mental note to stop back for a pie. read more

Went here for dinner after going to Anderson Farms. I got the Ole Cubano sandwich for lunch with Voodoo chips - when it came out, I was a little disappointed because it looked like it was just some deli meat ham on the sandwich. Even though it was, the smoked pulled pork underneath it was delicious and it was overall a really tasty sandwich. I liked the bun it was on as well; I think the price of $13 for the size of the sandwich was a little steep. For a drink, I got the crisp pear hard cider. It was pretty tasty, not overly sweet. The patio area outside was very nice and I appreciated they had signs about keeping kids supervised/under control as that can definitely be an issue at some breweries. read more

Great experience last night at the old mine during the red wanting blue concert. With the weather that rolls through Erie it was really nice to have a place to sit to enjoy some drinks and pizza while we waited for the concert to begin. I like how they are set up because you are never waiting around for someone to take your order since you wait in line at the bar and order your food on the app. It was a dream. They get an extra star for being connected to the ice cream shop next door. That was a nice touch. read more

The only reason to come here is the cider - NOT the food which is subpar and definitely not worthy of the cider. They stopped offering the BBQ items which was the only food here worth a darn. PIZZA: we had some amazingly bad pizza which not even the kids wanted to eat... the server was great so the kitchen remade it and it was ok then. But still average and it was $20 for basically the same $9 pizza from Mod Pizza. Nachos... Negative 10 stars. BURNED Chips that were ice cold... Clearly not made when we ordered it ... Plus, crappy canned nacho cheese sauce, not good cheese. Avoid this even if they pay you to eat it. read more

I ordered a tasting flight of the following ciders: Handlebar Hard Cider (6.5% ABV) Hopped Up Handlebar Hard Cider (6.5% ABV) Tom's Peary Cider (6.2% ABV) Semi Dry Cider (7.8% ABV) Skinny Apple Cider (5.0% ABV) Everything was enjoyable. This review is for the food only. I got a beer and my husband got the cider flight which were fine. The food however was pretty terrible. The nachos were served over burnt parchment paper but was ice cold when we ate it. The salsa was definitely something along the lines of jarred tostitos, the queso probably too. It was just really really low quality, cold, and $20. The pizza was just as bad. Got a pepperoni pizza for also $20 and it was cafeteria quality food. Dough was way too thick and flavor was not great. Also got 1.5 pepperonis per slice. I don't mind paying $20 for food at all, but the quality here is just not there. I'd come to get a couple drinks but I would never order food here again. read more

Today was my first time trying this restaurant and I must say it's not too bad. The cider here is so good to the point where you want to take a pack to go. The food here was pretty average and I'm still debating if it's worth the price. However, the service was amazing! The servers and cashier were friendly, helpful, and the food came out quickly. The atmosphere was also enjoyable and fits the Erie theme. If you want a good cider place to go to on a weekend with friends, this isn't a bad place to go! read more

Kitchen closes sometime before the place closes. Who knows when. I show up at 9:15 on a Friday night. "My kitchen is closed love." I look at my watch. "I know" she says. Nothing on the website says they start shutting the place down before their stated closing time. That's just a crappy way to run a business. Less than a half mile away The Dugout was happy to cook me a meal. Their kitchen closes at 10:00....when the place closes. read more

This is our go-to family spot in Erie. The outdoor seating and casual environment are awesome when you have younger kids. It's totally the norm for kids to run around the fenced in dinning area- making adult conversation and lot easier ! We love the street tacos and the kids love the cheesy bread. Love this place! Great BBQ, pizza, and drinks. We love this place in the summer but it's also great for takeout. Really lovely staff and always consistently good food. It's on the "Main Street" on Briggs street in Erie. There are A few really great restaurants in downtown Erie. A few would put boulder to shame. Check it out for the fun casual atmosphere. Great local spot in Erie. They brew their own cider and are know for their beer/cider combo drinks (and I recommend them). What to eat: we had three things to share for 5 people. Excellent selection of delicious ciders and guest beers on tap. Definitely one of the top cideries in Colorado. Awesome Texas brisket smoked on Texas Post Oak. Really fun pub/eatery vibe in a historic old town building. A small but well-curated selection of beers, and a nice variety of house-made hard ciders. The staff was very knowledgeable and happy to take the time to advise us on drink choices as well as doling out samples. I had the artisanal pizza, which had a perfectly baked thin crust and a very generous helping of cheese. My wife, who is celiac, had the chicken wings (grilled, not fried). We eat here every week. The cider is probably the best cider around. They have a wide variety of full flavored ciders. The smoked BBQ is exceptional and the pizza is super good. The pizza has a little too much flop, but the flavor makes it all worth it. I always get the smoked wings with their house made blue cheese. So good!!! My kids and wife devour everything in front of them. My brother-in-law and his family come from Brighton every week because they're obsessed with the atmosphere and quality of food. You really can't go wrong here. Chill environment for families, where you don't have to worry about your kids being too loud. read more

They pretty much had any kind of beer you can want and with funny names to accompany them. We did not order any food but the food that others ordered around me looked good. The beer I ordered was a simple lager and it tasted great with reasonable pricing. Service here was impressive. Even with how large the place is and how many people were there, we did not have to wait long at all to be helped and get our stuff including our beers and then our check at the end. So many unique flavors. Ordered some food, meat plate I believe. It had two kinds of bacon and sausage and some incredible cheese. That paired with their beers was one of my favorite dining experiences. On top of this, the girl helping us was the best! Attentive, engaging, very kind person with great hospitality skills. This gets a rare 5 stars from because it was absolutely perfect experience!

Met the daughter Grace while perusing the menu. Not a lot of options but we tried the chicken wings with pints of Outlaw lager beer. Both were fairly tasty. Looking around at the tiny place made me think of a cozy little British pub. The tunes playing in the background were pleasant. The owner told us his story about buying the business and how his family worked there. Saturday afternoon had only three family members as the wife was out. As sweet as his daughter was, she was far too talkative to patrons and fairly ignored the two groups of people who came inside and sat down. Her dad was in the back washing dishes and we still waited 10 minutes to order our main dish. The other patrons even got up to look in back to see if anyone was working there because they were ignored. About ten minutes later the owner came around the corner but Daughter was still gossiping outside. He scurried around. We split the fish and chips between the two of us as well as the salad. I was not impressed with the food. The small pieces of battered fish were decent but the overcooked fries and the salad were NOT good. I was bummed. It's like they realize the fish portions are small and they overcompensate with too many fries. I really wanted to like the place. The salad dressing came in store bought packets. Bottom line; only come for the beer and you will be happy.

That beer is called Redrum and it's a very solid Red Ale. I liked the Red Drink (a light farmhouse ale) even more. The loaded fries are solid bar food at a reasonable price. My inner geek was nerding out. We had our son with us so the three of us ordered dinner. He got the schnitzel sandwich on a pretzel bun with fries. They had an orange soda that he enjoyed. My husband got the Outworld Burger. A brisket burg with bacon, smoked cheddar, burger sauce, lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle. For a side he tried Stoemp, a Belgian root veg mash. He said the burger was delicious but that root mash was the star. I stole a bite and I'll have to choose that side next time. Me? I saw pastrami and kraut and was sold. Purple cabbage kraut, grainy mustard, thinly sliced pastrami and Jarlsberg on griddled bread. Oh my! I opted for a side salad and ranch. My salad was fresh and had a nice variety of vegetables. Ok on to the beers. We got a flight to share and discuss. Baltalowda Baltic Porter had a nice malty flavor and was my personal fav. Starship Wallonia/Patrice's 1960 Belgian IPA hit the mark. Future Farmer Saison was a nice estery offering laden with berries. ValHellYeah (Kornøl), a collab with Mythmaker Brewing, is an "unboiled raw ale." Had to try that and had to get a crowler for our homebrew friends to try. In addition to our flight we shared a pint of Lup Garou Double IPA. This one was crowler worthy to take home as well. We also got a crowler of Black Is Beautiful 2 for later. The staff was welcoming and had knowledgeable answers to all our questions. This will definitely be a place we will go back to.
