My objective to speaking with the manager (Lisa) on Monday was about a server who disrespected my request on Saturday to open separate tabs for the guests at my table. She snapped at me and said one tab for the table was all needed for the table. I kindly requested more firmly that I'd appreciate my guests open their own tabs. The server replied sharply that their policy required only one tab to be opened and upon closing the tab I could split the tab with my guests. In that moment I chose to preserve the atmosphere in front of my friends , family, and my 3 grandchildren and let it go. Upon calling the manager on Monday, I spoke with Lisa. I was caught off guard with her defensive nature saying, I was wrong as I should have asked for the manager. Again, you think I wanted to create that type of energy in front of my friends, family and (ages 7,11, 13) my grandchildren. We were there to celebrate my nephews birthday and to listen to J Blackburn. The whole situation was offensive. The server may have the authority to manage the tabs but not to define my worth and certainly not the authority to diminish my voice (as you did as well upon my phone call). Must all be part of your protocol. I made a reasonable request and the server chose to decline it. I believe my request should have been honored - although the server who may have been busy, overwhelmed decided to follow what she believed to be easiest on herself in that moment. And Lisa, your defensive nature during our phone call didn't help. As you reviewed my bill with close to a 12 beers you again caught me off guard with your defensive nature. Lisa, sadly you never communicated you understood my position as the customer making a reasonable request, and again made sure to defensively communicate we received 2 free refills of soda (for my grandchildren) and the Arnold Palmer refill I was drinking being the DD. I was not questioning the outstanding service I received from the server who collected my final bill - I am mainly stating you have a server on board who communicated horribly and rudely as a server. You have to know exactly who I'm talking about as she stood out as a disgruntled server. That is not my opinion but of those at my table. Lisa, you ultimately never credited the dozen beers (or partial credit) that I clearly did not drink nor was anyone left at my table when I paid my bill. read more

Quick stop while in the area because they are dog friendly- had a great time! We didn't get the food but I was tempted to try the all day breakfast. Super fast and very friendly service (the red/green "Brazilian BBQ" system is clutch) and the waitress literally could not have been nicer or more accommodating to us (lots of beer samples!) AND the pup who got a bowl of water with our first round. Plenty of space outside, cute tables each with heaters for the season. We tried Frolic on a sunny weekend day. We got there can hour after they opened that day so we had plenty of seating options. After we were there for a while it became crowded with a cycling group that rolled up. We sat on the patio, which was perfect for us and our dog. They have a huge covered patio as well but it was perfect patio weather so we opted for the front uncovered patio area. We each got a beer which we agreed they were fine but with so many breweries in Colorado, we have lots of better options for flavorful beers. We ordered cheese bread as well. The "marinara" sauce was far from that, it seemed more like they poured tomatoes in sauce from a can. Both the bread and sauce lacked flavor. They could jazz up the sauce with some Italian spices. The ordering system is easy and nice. Not sure it is worth checking out unless you are in the area. read more

Met up with friends I hadn't seen in forever. Service was dependable especially with the stop/go thingy. Pet friendly and dog water available on the patio. Pizza was tasty with just a bit too much sauce. Bottom crust was limp, cheese/pepperoni slid right off, still had 3 pieces. Tots and chicken tenders were under baked. My pup liked the chicken but wouldn't touch the Tots... Large variety of beer to choose from and priced right! Not sure I'd be a regular here but not bad for a quick stop. read more

The service at Frolic is very fast and easy. You just turn over your service block to the green side and they come very quickly to take your order! Anytime you need something, just turn it over. They have a great outdoor patio and it's a perfect place if you have a big/loud group! The food is decently priced and average bar food. The patio is dog friendly which is great! Went here with a party of four on Friday night and it was packed! Luckily there is additional seating in another room and there's table service so we didn't have to go to the bar to order. There's a huge outdoor patio so in the summer it must really be hopping. Food - We opted to order some pizza on the menu (a pepperoni and a Hawaiian) - there was a disclaimer that sometimes the wait can be 30-60 minutes but they clarified that was in the summer when it was completely full. We probably waited 15-20 minutes so not bad at all. The pizza itself was ok - I'm Italian so fairly picky with my pizza, and they was very average. Wouldn't order it again but it hit the spot since we were all hungry. The pineapple on the Hawaiian tastes like it came out of a can (which yes I understand it's January) but the ingredients were just meh. The beer was solid - I got a French toast porter that was rich and maybe just the slightest bit too sweet. Overall service was attentive and friendly and it was a very lively atmosphere! read more

Breweries located in strip malls have a special place in my heart. Throw in a stellar patio with seating for days, heat lamps and puppy friendly and I melt! I stopped here with a friend for some post hike grub and drinks and the experience was fantastic. Seat yourself and one of the staff will help you. The food? Bar food heaven! I couldn't decide between nachos, wings or pizza but per usual, pizza won me over. They even have a gluten free option if thats your thing and that was my thing when I went as I love a thin crust and it hit the spot. I got the pepperoni which comes with spinach and it's enough to eat and take home. It's so weird though, I left with three pieces but only two made it home (I blame traffic on I25!) The beer? Delicious! I'm a sucker for a unique porter or stout in the cooler months and the French Toast Porter immediately caught my eye. It was the perfect blend of maple and smoked flavor, one was just enough for me but I would have loved to take some home. I don't think I would made a special trip here again since I live clear on the other side of town but if I was in the area I would come back in a heartbeat! read more

First of all, the owner and the staff here tend to be pretty cool. Yeah, sometimes they get busy, and on occasion they don't put up with crap from entitled and/or difficult customers. But, they definitely keep it real, and provide good service at the same time. I come here on a regular basis with our homebrew club. And they definitely do a good job of tolerating our shenanigans. They consistently have 18 to 20 beers on tap, and if you have one that you are fond of, out there's a very good chance that you'll be able to find it the next time you stop by. The menu solid. I am particularly fond of the pizzas. But, there are some other interesting things that are definitely worth checking out. For example, you can pretty much have an omelette made in the pizza oven with any of the toppings that one might normally put on a pizza. And, this is actually a great low-carb option if that is your jam. Or, if you are just a fan of breakfast for dinner, this is a fun change of pace. read more

I'm sharing this review after five visits to Frolic Brewery, which is important because there has been one consistent presence--the older white lady who seems to be the manager. Unfortunately, her demeanor has been far from inviting. She often appears disinterested and disengaged, walking around with a clear "RBF" and a limp. On the flip side, I've encountered some excellent customer service here. The Eagles fan (lady), a woman who reminds me of Aubrey Plaza, the tall Viking blonde, the Boston Red Sox guy, and the female bartender with a backwards hat--each of them is friendly, attentive, and really knows how to make you feel welcome. In contrast, the manager's service leaves a lot to be desired. Picture the "what don't you want" waitress from Hell or High Water, and you'll get the vibe. She approached our table with a tone that can only be described as miserable, as though being there at all was a major burden. It's such a stark contrast to the other staff, who really go out of their way to provide a great experience. Frolic Brewery has a lot of potential, especially with all the TVs and sound playing for sports events, but this manager's attitude has made our experience far less enjoyable. Right now, we're unsure if we'll return--likely only during the next NFL season, when the atmosphere is worth it. Customer service should always be a given, not something we have to request. The manager could use a serious attitude adjustment or a leadership change. Maybe it's time to reconsider her role. Mediocre management at best. Bright side- beer is good, master brewer is on to something. A brewery is an experience. read more

Not sure why they don't have 5 stars but this place is awesome. First, you cannot beat these prices. I thought it was relatively cheap for the quality and amount of food you get. I didn't try their beers but I will definitely be returning again. We went on a Saturday during lunch time and the service was FAST and attentive, considering the amount of people that were there. They have indoor and outdoor seating, and heaters for the outdoor tables! It is dog friendly outside :) The overall atmosphere is laid back and not too noisy. The space is huge too. Wish I would've taken pictures of the menu but I'll just have to go again and do that. Their wings are 10/10, got a veggie plate with hummus and the hummus is made in house! Fantastic. Quesadilla was huge and delicious and their sandwiches are to die for. We even had leftovers! I love that they give you a lot of sauce lol and they gave us a large amount of hummus. They have pizzas as well. The food and beer selection is large. I was truly impressed and very satisfied. Will for sure be returning. read more

I'm torn. Mostly because the food was ok- pizza is thin but soft crust, guacamole for the chips tastes and has the texture of pre-packaged guac. I had the peach seltzer, which is made in house and tastes nothing like the fruit fart in a can known as truly or white claw, but is full flavored, full on taste. I heard good things about the beer but didn't get a chance to taste it this visit. Service was quick- shortly after we turned the can to green someone asked what we needed. I have been following Frolic on social media since before they opened and FINALLY got the chance to check it out today. OMG Y'ALL, this place is such a neighborhood gem! Having lived in Boston for many years and spent lots of time drinking and eating at places like Harpoon Brewery, I can say that this definitely met and exceeded my expectations. Full disclosure: This elder millennial is more of a wine drinker, so I REALLY appreciate a beer menu that gives lots of info instead of fluff, meaningless descriptions, and preferably in table format. This beer menu does just that; it provides info on alcohol content as well as bitterness and color plus lets patrons go for smaller 5-oz pours, regular 12-oz pints, or larger 16-oz pours. That was exactly the info I needed to narrow it down to two viable options for me: blackberry wheat or ginger shanty. I asked the server if there were any flight/sampler options or if I should just order 5-oz pours; she happily informed me that I could do a free 1-oz taster of each. Woohoo! While both were delicious, I ended up opting for the ginger given that it was a cool 85 degrees outside on the expansive patio, where I was enamored with at least two adorable, friendly pups (they even have their own water station!). Also of note for those watching carbs or gluten intake: all the beers are gluten reduced. Bottoms up! I really like the concept here: Seat yourself and communicate silently to servers when you do or do not need service by turning your indicator red- or green-side up--no need to wave, holler, or walk up to the bar. On a Sunday afternoon, despite a fairly full patio, we had very fast and accommodating service every time our indicator was green-side up. Hubby and I were undecided on food because there are so many great options. A nearby table had nachos piled high that smelled delicious while another had what looked and smelled like cheesy bread. I noticed the menu indicated that every savory pizza included spinach as a sub-topping. Strangely wonderful. We finally agreed on the gluten-free supreme pizza (if you know me, you know I love anything with mushrooms and spinach). I am the first to admit that most GF pizza doughs are not my jam (give me all the yeasty, fluffy gluten, please!), but this one is actually tasty and is not crumbly at all. While it is flat, it still packs a lot of flavor and has a nice crispy crust. The server also recommended a side of ranch, which this Texan gladly accepted. The pizza came out piping hot and was a great combo of all the flavors I would include on a homemade pizza with no one topping overpowering the others. The best part? I could leave the cooking to someone else. While I didn't spend much time inside, I can confirm the bathrooms are clean and all the servers were very friendly. Also, as a military vet, I particularly admire any business that is vet owned and operated and recognizes a diverse segment of public servants. read more

Great place to have a beer and some snacks! Staff was friendly and helpful. I had a flight which included their French toast beer, blood orange IPA, and blackberry wheat. French toast was delicious and smooth. It smelled truly like French toast! We did order nachos and they were tasty but could have used a bit more meat! I was not a fan of the "flipper" meaning you turn the can to green if you need something and flip it when you don't. We ordered a beer with a different waitress than the first time we were helped and took them 30 min to bring it to us. It almost seemed that they took so many drink orders and one person was carrying them all at once and serving them. I don't understand if our beer was ready, why couldn't it be served immediately? The hubs and I met up with friends here today and had a fantastic experience. We sat outside (seat yourself) and immediately had a server come over and introduce herself. She explained the system there that you flip a small tube over for green when you were ready to order and that any server would help us. We were super hungry so ordered: the cheese bread with housemade ranch - so simple but done so right Chicken quesadilla- delightful Creamy Buffalo chicken pizza - this was my pick and common sense is the only reason I stopped at eating the entire thing - so, so good Frito pizza - didn't try this but our friend very much enjoyed Nachos with chicken - everything you'd want nachos to be We sampled a variety of beers but I had two samples of the blackberry wheat which I thought was outstanding and the Pilsner which was also excellent. They make great pizzas & wings & poppers and will even make you an omelette in their wood fired pizza oven! The nachos with pizza toppings are kind of amazing. They have a great private space that you can reserve, for FREE, that has walls of tvs hooked up to gaming systems like SNES. They host the KROC Homebrew Club the 2nd Tuesday of the month for those interested in brewing and learning to brew. The patio & availability of parking are stellar as well. The food was awful. The nachos, if you can call them that, were burnt chips and somehow not melted cheese. The chicken wings seemed like they were boiled? And I'm definitely having weird stomach aches the morning after eating them. Maybe everyone knew how gross the food was because in retrospect no one else was eating. The beer was adequate. And service was lacking. Initially things came out at a decent pace, then it slowly to a trickle. Our server disappeared after we questioned the lackluster nachos, and turned up over 30 minutes later with the missing chili and sides for us to pick at with the cold chips since they certainly weren't nachos. The server disappearing was fine at first, but considering there were so many others more focused on cleaning up well over an hour before closing, didn't make us feel great as we sat there disappointed and hungry. read more

This place is top tier. The prices of the food and drinks are very very reasonable, if not one of the cheaper breweries I've visited. The food always hits just right whether it's the wings, pizza, or sandwiches. The brisket sandwich is usually my go to but the bartender Megan convenced me to try a pizza and now I'm having a crisis on what my favorite dish is. Kelly was also running around cracking jokes and you can just tell this is a poppin place to work and the employees know how to get down with the customers. The indoor seating is a nice vibe and the patio outside is even better on s nice summer day. They have table flippers that allow your server to see if you need something. They seemed to be out of a lot of there beers which was weird to me since they just opened a few weeks ago, but maybe because they're new they are still trying to figure things out.
