The food was really good. The ambiance was actually chill and relaxing. Prolly due to the timing of our visit. A Wednesday at 13:30. However, I assume they were busier than anticipated as groups were waiting in the foyer to be seated for quite a bit. All hand were on deck to ensure positive service was offered but I did notice a couple of groups tire of waiting and they left. Double edged blade.... Good food and service draws good crowds. As someone who grew up in Wisconsin and has spent my entire life eating cheese curds from some of the state's most beloved restaurants, supper clubs, fairs, breweries, and roadside stands, I do not say this lightly: Windfall's fried cheese curds are the best I've ever had. Perfectly fresh, perfectly fried, and somehow managing to strike that ideal balance between a crisp, golden exterior and a rich, melty center, they absolutely blew me away. Every bite tasted fresh, hot, and made with care. I kept waiting to find a cheese curd somewhere in Wisconsin that could top them--and honestly, I never did. I've eaten cheese curds from places that Wisconsinites consider legendary, and Windfall's still sits at the top of my list. If you're a cheese curd lover, do yourself a favor and order them. They alone are worth the visit. Five stars without hesitation, for the food itself. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the service. We've had a few waitresses who came across as rude or dismissive, which takes away from an otherwise excellent experience. Extra star for the atmosphere. This place is cool. Really enjoyed the video games. I came twice and sat at the bar both times. Beer was excellent, food was meh. I got the Trash Panda IPA which was stellar. The Sopa Azteca could have been really good, but the liquid was not very hot, so when they pour it over the other ingredients, like cold avocado and sour cream, it created an almost cold soup, which was disappointing. I get what they were trying to do, but it just doesn't work. Street tacos left a lot to be desired. Got one of each and the cauliflower was actually the best. The meats were greasy and gristly. Chick at the bar both nights (sorry I didn't get her name) was absolutely amazing. Really great service and also just cool personality. Dude with man bun was kind of a dick. Overall, the sauces were good, but you guys gotta leave those wings down another 3-4 minutes. Don't be afraid to let that skin crisp up. Went in for my birthday and was pleasantly surprised. Cool modern tavern and brewery feel with big windows looking into the actual brewery, and a stellar arcade! Tried a flight of beer that was pretty good, most of the samples were tasty. Our server was very nice, helpful and promptly took care of whatever we needed. We had the Korean Fried Chicken Sandwich, the slider trio and the Salmon Bacon and Avocado sandwich. The Chicken sandwich was really good! The bread was nice and soft, lightly toasted and the chicken was crispy and covered in sauce. The fries were great!! The Slider trio was probably our least favorite. The burgers were kind of bland and very dry. I wasn't too impressed. The Salmon was cooked and seasoned well. Overall I was happy with the meal and the restaurant. I'd definitely go back! read more

This is a fun spot. The games are great and nostalgic. I love the pinball machines. I started at the bar and enjoyed a couple small pours of their sours. I Want the Fruit is pretty tasty. It's definitely fruity and berry forward with a nice tartness. Mi Amigo is great and truly tastes like a margarita but without the tequila. After moving to a table, I enjoyed the Bonfire Dance Party. It's a good POG IPA with nice fruity flavors and a touch of pine. I also had the Hop Architect. This is a very approachable West Coast IPA. It has all the flavors you expect; however, not much bitterness. I had the mushroom and arugula flatbread for dinner and it was delightful. Stop by, play some games and have a pint! read more

I think 3/5 stars is fair for this place. The wife and I went with a bunch of family to this spot recently and was promptly seated (made reservations in advanced). The restaurant was pretty big and had a decent list of items on the menu. I got myself a 10 oz pour of their hop forward IPA (don't remember the name), and that was actually pretty good. We ended up getting a wedge salad with honey mustard dressing on the side a salmon, BLTA with sweet potato fries and a Caprese flatbrea. The flatbread was OK. The BLT was actually pretty good but the fries were not really that good and considering it was a three dollar upgrade it was definitely not worth it. The salad was actually decent, but they forgot to put the dressing on the side and so it was a little overdressed. The price was kinda high for what it was and is the reason for the three stars. There's three items plus a 10 ounce pour ended up being over $60. It was nice to try it out, but I don't think I'll be coming back. read more

My husband and I came in after visiting Activate around the corner. Our server was super friendly and prompt, and very patient while we hemmed and hawed over the menu. We ended up going with the cheese curds and 2 lbs of wings, 1/2 buffalo 1/2 sweet Thai chili. The wings were excellent- loved both sauces, as well as the house made blue cheese and ranch dressing (I seriously considered asking if I could take a bottle home it was so good). The drinks were less exciting. We had the Polar Bear in Denial, which was good but not great. The rest of the cocktails followed a similar pattern- we tried a mule, the old fashioned, the rum punch and the spice over ice. The old fashioned was probably the best out of the drinks we tried. It had a cinnamon taste in the beginning that was different and good. The spice over ice has a strong jalapeño flavor that overtook all the other flavors, not my favorite. Saving the best for last, there's an arcade! On Thursdays they run 50 cent pinball, which we took full advantage of and loved. Happy hour from 3-6 on weekdays runs some decent deals as well. I adore the old school mural of Nintendo figures, as well as the neon. Overall I loved the food and arcade, which more than made up for the mid level drinks. We will be back for sure read more

My friends and I were doing a brewery night and this was a stop along our journey. This was a brewpub, not a brewery, and felt like a chain restaurant inside, so not exactly the ambiance I love for a brewery but that was our mistake for not looking ahead. I got two tasters of a chai cream ale and spice berry sour - both were Ok (they do brew their own beer). For food, we split an app of the salsa flight - the chips were fairly stale that came out but the tomatillo salsa was solid. The service was very nice and attentive, and beer/drinks came out quickly. Unfortunately not my vibe, and I didn't think the beer was great, so I won't be going back but this would be a better place for a family with kids (there are arcade games). read more

We love coming here when we are in the area. The food is pretty good (grilled cheese w/Turkey, pretzel bites, peach sorbet) and they seem pretty good about rotating taps. I feel like there has been a new beer selection each time we have gone in. Patio seating is nice, even when it is cold out, but inside can be a bit loud. I decided to try windfall today. Overall, it was pretty good. I got the deluxe grilled cheese and I substituted Onion rings. I also got the small cup of tomato bisque on the side. It's got a fun vibe with the pinball machines. The soup was much on the tomato flavor and less on the bisque side. The onion rings were good, but the coating felt really heavy to me. The grilled cheese with bacon jam was pretty good. Not sure how I would describe it. It wasn't super (temperature) hot so it didn't seem very "melty". But overall, it was a good experience and I will be back. I have some friends that might enjoy the pinball. So I'll give it another try. read more

To start, the food was okay. I got the Denver Omelette, when it arrived to out table, it was burnt and hard, not how a well made omelette should be. Our waiter didn't checkup on us much and looked annoyed every time we asked for something, so we had to flag her down many times and tell her about it. Not one apology, not one sorry for the inconvenience from the manager or waiter. The manager also didn't provide a sorry, and didn't take it off the bill. TLDR: I do not recommend. Food 6.5/10. I feel that the rating of this establishment at the time of this review is a little low at 3.7. The food options all have good twists on your normal American fair. Our burgers may have been a little overcooked but we still very good and we're flavored and seasoned well. The service was really good and the beers we had were solid. We tried the pretzel bites, the polenta bruschetta and the smoked jerk wings. Polenta was awesome. Jerk seasoning was way too hot for us. Tried the ginger beer, very spicy! Good on its own but probably better as a mixer. Tried the pilot ipa, the jolly and old Ben. Decent beers but nothing special. Very fun atmosphere! Arcade and sports bar. 1st time visiting not sure how we missed this big beautiful place. Had very good craft beer even a could have N-A choices. (My husband is doing some health stuff and currently not drinking). The food was really excellent. Good reviews from hubby on the bison burger and I had a BLTA with salmon. Most brilliant combo ever. All the things I love in one spot. Also had a lemon vinaigrette on it that was very bright and tasty. I would suggest asking guests if they want skin or no skin on the salmon just because it's a pain to take it off while it's on a sandwich but it was worth it. Also loved that the green salad substitution is not an extra cost upgrade very refreshing! All in all an outstanding visit. All employees are friendly and we even had a quick chat with an owner. We don't hang out up north a lot but we will return here next time we are!!!! read more

I had a great time meeting an friend here today. Location is right along I25, and a bit north of Denver. They have a fun walkable area, with plenty of stores and shops around. There was a big party outside, Overall a happening place to be! I really was surprised by the taste of their beers! I got a lemon sour, watermelon sugar, and summertime lager. The lemon was pleasantly mild. Some breweries go over the top with flavors and make it un-drinkable. Both my fruit drinks were nice and crushable. No weird flavors or off putting taste. Loved the lager too, it was easy to drink and had a nice crisp flavor. Fried pickles were good, but still not as good as Bad Daddy's. The breading was a bit too coarse ( perhaps it's a gluten free one) and the pickles were a bit hard. Still, it was pretty solid. Pretzel bites were good too. The big draw of this brewery would have to be the dozens of arcade and pinball games for play. It's really like half restaurant and half game hall. Theres lots to choose from and a game for everyone. This is definitely what sets it apart, as I can't think of another place besides Dave and Busters like it. Really enjoyed this brewery, and so did my east coast friend. Terrible experience with a table of 11 -- we waited far more than an hour for our food, getting the lame excuse that they were short-staffed only when it was too late for our group to make our appointment that was a full hour and a half after we got there. We had to pack our food up immediately upon it arriving at last. There was no attempt to make our experience any better, finally getting a few free beer coupons. We've been meaning to try Windfall since it opened up a couple of months ago and finally made it around to stopping in. I didn't read the other Yelp reviews until after we left, but I disagree with most negative reviews and thought the place was really good. The have a ton of cool options on their menu. We got the soft pretzel bites and cheese and the cheese curds for Apps and both were awesome. I could have actually stopped after that but wanted to try a main course. I ordered the Reuben which was not a traditional Reuben at all. It was more of a beef sandwich which was still good but I'd probably rename the item on the menu. Good selection of beers, and all the drink and food prices are in-line with what I've come to expect from other breweries. The arcade is really cool and my kids loved it, adding another element to the brewery. Overall, my experience was good and I'll certainly be coming back read more

I have zero complaints with Windfall so I really don't agree with all these negative reviews. People are just too critical with new places opening. Of course, they have some kinks to work out but nothing that impacted our visit. We came with the family for lunch on a Saturday and got seated right away. Our server was super attentive and kept the food/beer coming as we requested. The kids LOVED the soft pretzel bites with cheese and I LOVED the cheese curds. I was pretty full after both apps so I threw in the towel, but I do look forward to coming back and trying the nachos or the soup with grilled cheese croutons. I had the winter IPA and tried the special bavarian beer. Both were great! My kiddos loved the arcade aspect as well. We headed over there to play a few games while we finished our beers and so the kids could have some fun. I think Windfall is great, and I plan to go back! read more
