Personal review only. DO NOT RISK EATING HERE IF YOU HAVE FOOD ALLERGIES. I would give ZERO STARS but others enjoyed their dinner. The others had decent meals. I on the other hand left slightly sick to my stomach and still slightly hungry. I have severe dairy and gluten allergies. Asked for the chef to tell me what I could eat. Offered a plain piece of salmon. Really? How creative. (Eye roll). I ordered a salad with strawberries and spinach that is an additional fee. They brought me the salad with grated cheese then denied it was cheese. Lied right to my face. Two of the men at the table tasted the "egg crumbles" and definitely found it was cheese. Then they brought me another salad with buttered pecans on the salad. Seriously? I had started eating the salad and the manager came over and said stop eating as there is butter on the pecans. They also said they didn't bring the hard boiled eggs for the salad as it was dairy, wasn't it??? SERIOUSLY???? Try someplace else if you need any special requests.

I was placing a takeout order and Miss Bo was an amazing server super friendly, patient, and professional the whole time. Even though I was just ordering to go, she treated me like I was dining in. Great attitude and made the experience easy and pleasant. Definitely deserves recognition for her great service! The food did not disappoint!

The food was delicious. The drinks hit the spot. Our service was excellent! Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu! I would definitely go again for a special occasion.

Excellent location right off 36. Easy to get to and out of. And right between Denver and Boulder.  It has plenty of parking and seating options. The inside is comfortable, and the menu has all the steakhouse staples you would expect. The staff is excellent.  It outperformed my expectations.

We all expect a steak house to nail their steaks--so, this review will speak to the other "little things". Bread: (included with meal). Anybody been to England or Ireland? You'll be familiar with "brown bread". Saltgrass nails the bread! It's not your traditional "yeasty, white bread". The bread has depth and the loaf easily serves two people. Excellent! Soup: Baked Potato ($5.49/cup or $7.49/bowl). The soup includes chunks of potato, combined with Sharp Cheddar Cheese, bacon bits, celery, a hint of garlic, and other additions. It's like having a loaded baked potato in a soup! I would bathe in this soup! Seriously, it could be the best soup I have EVER tasted! JUST ORDER IT! Entree: NY Strip ($34). Perfectly cooked (I order medium rare). The steak melts in your mouth and the pat of butter on top adds some additional fat. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! (photo attached) Side: Flash Fried Green Beans. I love all vegetables, and it's hard to make a side dish distinct. The green beans were perfectly blistered, which allowed them to be crisp but flavorful. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Service: Attentive, friendly, and professional. The Servers make you feel at home. Thank you! Overall: Unfortunately, Saltgrass is on the opposite side of Denver metro. We only get to that side of town about once per month, but we WILL visit every time we're in the area. Yes, it's a great food experience.

    Filet Medallions are excellent!

The person at the front desk of the Hampton Inn highly recommended this nearby location. She indicated "they're open late". It was 9:20 PM, so we thought that'd be like 11:00 PM or something, but they're open to 10. We made our way up to the hill and walked in with 32 minutes until closing. We never felt rushed and everyone was quite friendly. It's been a lot while since I've been to a Saltgrass Steak House. This one seemed to be better than what I remembered. My only disappointment was the limited choice of beers on tap. The four or five on tap were a good selection, I just expected a bigger selection. My filet mignon tenderloins were cooked to perfection. The flash fried green beans were awesome and the cream soup of the day, the baked potato soup, was excellent. Seasoning across the board was very good but not overpowering. The ambiance is fun and cozy. The tables do not feel crowded together, though I don't if it would feel a little more crowded during peak hours. I like the view into the kitchen. Our server was excellent. We didn't get her name but she was attentive, working the bar area on 04 Oct 24, and knew her stuff. She was never intrusive but never kept us waiting. An excellent experience across the board. The only thing I'd ask for, and this is probably a corporate thing more than a location thing, is a wider beer selection.

Overcooked takeout Porterhouse steak. Was SUPPOSED to be cooked very rare. I'd call this medium at best.

So my boyfriend went to this place to eat with a friend, and I asked him to bring back dinner for me, which he kindly did. He ordered my food at the end of his meal, so it was not sitting for a long time in a warmer. That means they massively overcooked it out of pure incompetence. I asked for it rare... and not just rare, but as rare as possible. This picture is what I got. I would charitably call this Porterhouse "medium." You guys charge $50 to mess up the main thing you sell, which is allegedly steak grilled to the customer's liking? I'm so disappointed. I was really looking forward to dinner, and to me, a person who hates overcooked meat, this is almost inedible... I'll have to make it into a sandwich or something. At least the salad and asparagus were fine. And in case you think it was just my steak, my bf reported that HIS steak (which he ordered medium-rare) was not cooked correctly either. His friend got some kind of shrimp dish, and he reported it was "meh" (sorry, I don't know what was meant by this, but the point is that everyone was let down by this meal). And no, they were not busy, it was late afternoon on a Sunday. What the hell. This is the first time we've tried this place, and I expect it'll be the last unless we go somewhere and have no other choice. Sigh. Edit to add: man, I was crabby when I posted this! I think it's because I was really hungry and disappointed, but I'm not hungry now so I'm willing to be more charitable and say that aside from my overcooked steak, the other things I was given were all fine and I'd PROBABLY give this place one more try, but not for takeout, only in person.

Quick note though, they do not pick up their phone. I called three times before heading over and it just rang straight to voicemail each time, so don't count on getting ahold of anyone. We walked in as a two top and got seated in the back room. At first I wasn't loving it since it's kind of cut off from the rest of the restaurant and the ambiance definitely takes a hit back there. But our server Tristen completely turned that around. Super knowledgeable, funny, kind, and quick. He also paid close attention to my girlfriend's allergies and made sure she could order without stressing, which I really appreciated. Food wise, everything hit. Classic steakhouse vibes in the best way. My ribeye was cooked perfectly and the mussels we started with were actually great, which you don't always expect out here in Colorado being landlocked. All in all, aside from the back room situation and the phone issue, this place delivered. Honestly feels like that space should be reserved for private events or opened up a bit. Huge shoutout to Tristen though, he alone bumped this from a solid 3 to a 4 for me.

Marta took cared of us and did a splendid job. We really appreciated her recommendations and looked to her for advice on the dessert menu as it was extensive. The steak was cooked to perfection with just right amount of seasoning. I didn't need any additional sauce but I heard the blue cheese crust and the bone marrow butter were both amazing, really added to their steaks. Most of us ordered the 10oz Wagyu New York. One of my favorite sides was the truffle frites that looked more like potato cubes, fried to perfection, so crispy and tasty. We also ordered the whipped potatoes and broccolini, also very good. The mood lighting is definitely adding to the upscale-ness of the restaurant, we were seated next to a cozy fireplace. Forgot to mention, we really loved the fried alligator and the beef Wellington bites as appetizers. The escargot was delicious but the snails were small without shells. Love that they added a small piece of pie crust or phyllo dough on top of the escargot to pick up the herb butter. The only thing, if I must complain, was the water. It reminded me a little bit like the swimming pool water, maybe it's PH balanced and my peasant palate was not used to it but our whole crew picked it up. The water at another fancy steak place was similar experience, so not sure if it was a steakhouse theme or just driving ppl to order other beverages... either way, it wasn't bad enough to take away a star, but be forewarned on the bleach-y water. The house made cheesecake, the crème brûlée, the biscoff mouse were all super tasty! Want to come back to check out their most ordered lava cake. Cheesecake "took the cake" for me, dense, creamy and fluffy at the same time... I know, contradictory descriptions but you have to try it to understand it. Thanks Hideaway for our bday celebration experience, definitely worth a visit if you haven't been! We will be back!!

Upon entering the restaurant it smelled of seafood which I thought was interesting. I would expect this from a place like Ocean Prime but not a steak heavy place. We walked through the booths which looked really nice but were sat in a different room towards the back. We ordered a bottle of wine and the mini beef Wellingtons to start. The meat was very tender. We split the 20oz ribeye steak and had the garlic whipped mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. We had ordered the steak medium well but I feel that it was well done when we got it. The sides we ordered were great! We did order the truffle butter to go along with the steak (additional $7) which was ok. The steak itself was ok. It wasn't anything to bash about. We ordered the Nutella triangles for dessert and it was too sweet for me, very odd for me to say since I have a huge sweet tooth! Our waiter checked on us a couple of times. It wasn't that busy but it seemed that service was a bit slow. As far as pricing, I do think it's overpriced for what it is. There are 5 other steakhouses that I think have better quality and are not as expensive as here.

Once we had our beverages we ordered some food. I had the shrimp cocktail. The shrimp were tender and chilled just right. The cocktail sauce had a wonderful bite from the horseradish. He had the Bison Sliders. The sliders had Swiss cheese, tomato, pickle and Sriracha aioli sauce. He had one and was full. We took the rest home. While we were enjoying our selections, my husband noticed Julia making a Smoked Manhattan for another patron. The process was so interesting he decided to order one. She was kind enough to let us film her explanation of the drink and the sparks and flame that came with presentation. As he was enjoying his beverage, JD came by to check on us and asked if we were celebrating anything that evening. My husband explained his accomplishment and the amount of work that had gone into it. JD surprised us by bringing out a crème brûlée to share for the occasion. We will have this at the top of our list when we have a week night celebration.
