I was placing a takeout order and Miss Bo was an amazing server super friendly, patient, and professional the whole time. Even though I was just ordering to go, she treated me like I was dining in. Great attitude and made the experience easy and pleasant. Definitely deserves recognition for her great service! The food did not disappoint!

Personal review only. DO NOT RISK EATING HERE IF YOU HAVE FOOD ALLERGIES. I would give ZERO STARS but others enjoyed their dinner. The others had decent meals. I on the other hand left slightly sick to my stomach and still slightly hungry. I have severe dairy and gluten allergies. Asked for the chef to tell me what I could eat. Offered a plain piece of salmon. Really? How creative. (Eye roll). I ordered a salad with strawberries and spinach that is an additional fee. They brought me the salad with grated cheese then denied it was cheese. Lied right to my face. Two of the men at the table tasted the "egg crumbles" and definitely found it was cheese. Then they brought me another salad with buttered pecans on the salad. Seriously? I had started eating the salad and the manager came over and said stop eating as there is butter on the pecans. They also said they didn't bring the hard boiled eggs for the salad as it was dairy, wasn't it??? SERIOUSLY???? Try someplace else if you need any special requests.

Excellent location right off 36. Easy to get to and out of. And right between Denver and Boulder.  It has plenty of parking and seating options. The inside is comfortable, and the menu has all the steakhouse staples you would expect. The staff is excellent.  It outperformed my expectations.

We all expect a steak house to nail their steaks--so, this review will speak to the other "little things". Bread: (included with meal). Anybody been to England or Ireland? You'll be familiar with "brown bread". Saltgrass nails the bread! It's not your traditional "yeasty, white bread". The bread has depth and the loaf easily serves two people. Excellent! Soup: Baked Potato ($5.49/cup or $7.49/bowl). The soup includes chunks of potato, combined with Sharp Cheddar Cheese, bacon bits, celery, a hint of garlic, and other additions. It's like having a loaded baked potato in a soup! I would bathe in this soup! Seriously, it could be the best soup I have EVER tasted! JUST ORDER IT! Entree: NY Strip ($34). Perfectly cooked (I order medium rare). The steak melts in your mouth and the pat of butter on top adds some additional fat. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! (photo attached) Side: Flash Fried Green Beans. I love all vegetables, and it's hard to make a side dish distinct. The green beans were perfectly blistered, which allowed them to be crisp but flavorful. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Service: Attentive, friendly, and professional. The Servers make you feel at home. Thank you! Overall: Unfortunately, Saltgrass is on the opposite side of Denver metro. We only get to that side of town about once per month, but we WILL visit every time we're in the area. Yes, it's a great food experience.

The food was delicious. The drinks hit the spot. Our service was excellent! Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu! I would definitely go again for a special occasion.

The person at the front desk of the Hampton Inn highly recommended this nearby location. She indicated "they're open late". It was 9:20 PM, so we thought that'd be like 11:00 PM or something, but they're open to 10. We made our way up to the hill and walked in with 32 minutes until closing. We never felt rushed and everyone was quite friendly. It's been a lot while since I've been to a Saltgrass Steak House. This one seemed to be better than what I remembered. My only disappointment was the limited choice of beers on tap. The four or five on tap were a good selection, I just expected a bigger selection. My filet mignon tenderloins were cooked to perfection. The flash fried green beans were awesome and the cream soup of the day, the baked potato soup, was excellent. Seasoning across the board was very good but not overpowering. The ambiance is fun and cozy. The tables do not feel crowded together, though I don't if it would feel a little more crowded during peak hours. I like the view into the kitchen. Our server was excellent. We didn't get her name but she was attentive, working the bar area on 04 Oct 24, and knew her stuff. She was never intrusive but never kept us waiting. An excellent experience across the board. The only thing I'd ask for, and this is probably a corporate thing more than a location thing, is a wider beer selection.

Overcooked takeout Porterhouse steak. Was SUPPOSED to be cooked very rare. I'd call this medium at best.

So my boyfriend went to this place to eat with a friend, and I asked him to bring back dinner for me, which he kindly did. He ordered my food at the end of his meal, so it was not sitting for a long time in a warmer. That means they massively overcooked it out of pure incompetence. I asked for it rare... and not just rare, but as rare as possible. This picture is what I got. I would charitably call this Porterhouse "medium." You guys charge $50 to mess up the main thing you sell, which is allegedly steak grilled to the customer's liking? I'm so disappointed. I was really looking forward to dinner, and to me, a person who hates overcooked meat, this is almost inedible... I'll have to make it into a sandwich or something. At least the salad and asparagus were fine. And in case you think it was just my steak, my bf reported that HIS steak (which he ordered medium-rare) was not cooked correctly either. His friend got some kind of shrimp dish, and he reported it was "meh" (sorry, I don't know what was meant by this, but the point is that everyone was let down by this meal). And no, they were not busy, it was late afternoon on a Sunday. What the hell. This is the first time we've tried this place, and I expect it'll be the last unless we go somewhere and have no other choice. Sigh. Edit to add: man, I was crabby when I posted this! I think it's because I was really hungry and disappointed, but I'm not hungry now so I'm willing to be more charitable and say that aside from my overcooked steak, the other things I was given were all fine and I'd PROBABLY give this place one more try, but not for takeout, only in person.

The food came as ordered, our server (Lauren) was very attentive to our table. It's nice to see the general manager come by and see how our food was and that always add a a bonus to me. Should you decide to visit? I would recommend a reservation on Friday and Saturday nights as it does get very busy. Unfortunately, the restaurant is closed on Sunday ... it's open all the other days for a very delightful experience. Bon appétit.

Our waitress was amazing - friendly, made great recommendations, and talked us through the menu, answer all of our questions thoroughly. We ordered the streak tartare app, clearly a staff favorite and they put a unique twist on the standard dish with mushrooms and a divine Dijon mustard sauce. The bread was baked to perfection - crunchy but soft all at the same time. My friend got the salmon, cooked to medium and I got the Jamaican jerk chicken which was not very spicy and contained a lot of flavor. The mango chutney and green mojo combo was complex and paired well with the chicken. My friend devoured she salmon so one can only assume it was delicious! I would highly recommend if you are looking for a date night or dinner with a friend and you're in the Broomfield area, Hickory and Ash is the spot!

I was torn but left my choice up to the bartender recommendation for the main, augmented with falafel. I was not disappointed. If you get stuck just flip a coin and it'll probably work out. If anything the worst part is the shopping center where the nearby stores throw you for a moment before you commit to the eclectic variety bar. Their interior decorations are a ridiculous blend of whatever holiday they have left up, and a death or 70-80s heavy metal bar. It is whimsically metal? Hard to even compare it, it works. We arrived for an early dinner on a weekday so things were pretty calm; good given the size of our party. I can't say it was the best old fashioned I'd ever had, but our hummus, fries mushrooms, and babaganoush were all tasty. For dinner I opted for a gyro (came with fries) and cleared my plate. Good portions, tasty, and fairly priced. I can say I've never been to a spot like this before and had a very enjoyable time!

Upon entering the restaurant it smelled of seafood which I thought was interesting. I would expect this from a place like Ocean Prime but not a steak heavy place. We walked through the booths which looked really nice but were sat in a different room towards the back. We ordered a bottle of wine and the mini beef Wellingtons to start. The meat was very tender. We split the 20oz ribeye steak and had the garlic whipped mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. We had ordered the steak medium well but I feel that it was well done when we got it. The sides we ordered were great! We did order the truffle butter to go along with the steak (additional $7) which was ok. The steak itself was ok. It wasn't anything to bash about. We ordered the Nutella triangles for dessert and it was too sweet for me, very odd for me to say since I have a huge sweet tooth! Our waiter checked on us a couple of times. It wasn't that busy but it seemed that service was a bit slow. As far as pricing, I do think it's overpriced for what it is. There are 5 other steakhouses that I think have better quality and are not as expensive as here.
