Westbound and Down with two easy eggs
Sarah A.

This place is fun! If you are looking for some live music, they have it Thursday-Saturday. They have special events too, like whiskey tastings and such. Nice tap list. (Dragon's Milk on tap...IYKYK) We go for the last Friday of the month trivia in the speakeasy, Liquor Pie Lounge. Head to the back wall and go through the industrial fridge door to get there. The trivia master keeps you thinking and laughing throughout the evening. There is usually a call to wear costumes related to that evening's theme. The night we went was Sci-Fi. Many folks in great costumes and lots of fun. The barkeep in the Liquor Pie Lounge is a creative soul. She comes up with themed beverages for trivia night. One was even lit on fire! The food! Hand cut fries, great burgers. My husband got the Sweet Jane burger. It had cheddar, lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle. He really enjoyed it. I, on the other hand, love me some tots covered in toppings. I got the Westbound and Down, a bed of tots smothered in green chili, cheddar, jalapeño, onion, and sour cream. I added 2 eggs over easy on top. Sooooo good! See you at trivia!

I remember this place from when it was the old Sweetwater way back in the day. Went here to catch a game with some friends and we were lucky enough to watch it in the Speakeasy. I believe it's called the 'Liquor Pie Lounge' and the projection TV takes up the entire wall. They've given the place a makeover since the days when I'd go there for HH with my co-workers. It's brighter, bigger and cleaner than I remember. All pluses in my book. The wait and cook staff are tremendous. After we were filling out from the game I saw a bunch of guys setting up equipment for a live gig a little later. I don't get up to Westie much these days, but I'll make it a point the next time I'm up there to catch some live music. Pro Tip: sit on the couches in the speakeasy and enjoy on pure comfort.

I stopped in for a quick beer and a bite after being at the Axe throwing place next door. This place was fun, bright, clean and friendly. I was greeted immediately, offered a drink and given a menu. I ordered a some Bavarian pretzel and a bud light. My pretzel came out within minutes and my beer was ice cold. The price was all very reasonable and my waitress/bartender was extremely pleasant. This is a wonderful small, local pub with good food, cold beer and friendly people.

Had a fine time. Music and good were excellent. Why do these reviews have to be so long. Say what you have to say and get it over with.

The spot is small but has a cozy vibe. There were only 3 other patrons within (all were watching football) so my husband, infant and I snagged the couch in the corner which was perfect for us. We started with sampling their whiskey/rye flight. We enjoyed the rye and wound up buying a bottle. At about $65 it wasn't cheap but not super outrageous compared to other local distilleries. In addition we each had a cocktail - I honestly can't recall what I had but it had a fun hibiscus rum float and was yummy. My husband had the old fashioned and it was a solid one. All in all a spot I would return to. Bonus that it is right around the corner from my work!

We sat at the bar and the first thing he said was I can't a few cocktails. I asked if he had gin, he said yes but can't do any of the gin drinks. I asked if he could do any gin drinks and he said "I have club soda" we needed up leaving without anything. Poor service, pretty bland environment and ambiance. If a place like this wants to succeed there needs to be an experience, no details about anything they do there, tastings etc. won't be back.

It appeared that we were going to have a great meal with great service, until...... Our server was very attentive, until food was delivered... then no where to be found. We ordered deviled eggs that were overcooked and too salty. My friend and I shared a burger and her son had the pork chop. Our meal arrived without any condiments (please.... a burger and no ketchup?). I attempted to flag down our waiter, but to no avail. I got up and found another server near the drink stand and asked for condiments. She said they would right over. Ten minutes later, nothing..... finally found our waiter who retrieved condiments from the kitchen... by then our burger was cold and not very tasty. We decided to treat ourselves with some key lime pie which was recommended by our servers as his "favorite." The pie had far too much crust that was chewy and hard. The entire meal was a big disappointment.

Only note is the servers need to try and flip tables faster. The Brussels are a must, we got the siracha aioli but some of the best Brussels I've had. My husband got the beast burger it was okay, it looked a little dry, not like your normal smash burger. I got the street tacos, chicken tinga, carnitas and barbacoa. All the meat was okay, chicken was the most moist and flavorful. Would not recommend the barbacoa, very dry and cinnamon forward in flavor, carnitas was okay (chipotle is better). Atmosphere was nice, good lighting, would come back but would order something different.

I have witnessed other staff in the past being drunk on the job as well, he called himself Guadalupe as he was literally stumbling at 11am on a Sunday. Watched him take additional shots during that shift. Didn't say anything then, because no patrons were assaulted. I had to speak up this time! Now for what happened on 5/16/26 From what I saw, kids were at the top of the parking garage throwing water balloons. The first round of balloons didn't seem to upset anyone besides a man with his dog. Then the second round was much different. The kids threw the balloons that then hit the fire pit, causing another patron. He left, came back and let them know he was burned, I watched him turn around, show them what looked to me a hole in his pants and said he had a burn on his leg. The response of the staff was "kids will be kids" they did not acknowledge he was burned, did not offer anything to him, Just basically laughed in his face. In my opinion, this is absolutely unacceptable, a liability, unprofessional and so many other things. The staff did nothing to help this customer and he had every right to be as pissed off as he was. I agree with the other review posted in regards to food, disgusting. No back to Nashville, you should be called "The Roadhouse" with this kind of behavior at the Westminster Promenade, a family friendly area. I will NEVER be back. I hope others read this and avoid this place, next time it might be not be a water balloon, but a hard object which could be deadly.
