The spot is small but has a cozy vibe. There were only 3 other patrons within (all were watching football) so my husband, infant and I snagged the couch in the corner which was perfect for us. We started with sampling their whiskey/rye flight. We enjoyed the rye and wound up buying a bottle. At about $65 it wasn't cheap but not super outrageous compared to other local distilleries. In addition we each had a cocktail - I honestly can't recall what I had but it had a fun hibiscus rum float and was yummy. My husband had the old fashioned and it was a solid one. All in all a spot I would return to. Bonus that it is right around the corner from my work!

We sat at the bar and the first thing he said was I can't a few cocktails. I asked if he had gin, he said yes but can't do any of the gin drinks. I asked if he could do any gin drinks and he said "I have club soda" we needed up leaving without anything. Poor service, pretty bland environment and ambiance. If a place like this wants to succeed there needs to be an experience, no details about anything they do there, tastings etc. won't be back.

I first went here when I planned my partner's 40th birthday and we had such a great time drinking cocktails and playing Catan. The second time we went here it was to bring my out-of-state friends who love board games. That time we rented out one of their board games for free, which was nice. Great place to try some new games for free and to order some fun food and cocktails. Everything we've had so far has been great!

This is maybe the most convoluted review I've ever written:…read moreWe were happy to get a spot here on OpenTable for Mother's Day. Fortunately, it is close to our home and the reviews looked great. When we arrived, we redirected from the main dining room to another space the restaurant owns 2 doors down. I wonder if we may have had a more attentive experience had we been in the original? The first disappointment was that our meal took 40 minutes to arrive from the time that we sat down. Our waiter consistently forgot that my husband had ordered a Diet Coke or to refill the drink when he had offered. The tables around us seemingly were served earlier, even though we all placed our orders around the same time. I ordered the Thai Pork Belly Benedict, which was absolutely delectable and definitely something write home about! And the country potatoes side was perfectly seasoned and crispy. I would absolutely go back for this, just maybe on a weekday brunch due to the wait. I thought it was extremely unique how the children's menu was plated in a muffin tin, with 6 different food choices for just $12. Great deal! My husband had a Belgian waffle topped with fruit, which was really unremarkable. Reminiscent of something that you might self-make at a hotel breakfast. Unfortunately, his waffle was cold, and he requested that they remake, which our server made sure was done in a timely manner. All in all, our meal was very reasonably priced at around $43. I just wish it hadn't been such a long wait, both to receive the initial order and for drink refills.

The patio is where the real magic happens--laid-back, sunny, and perfect for sipping cocktails and sharing plates. The menu rotates often, which makes every visit feel like a new experience. When I went, everything we tried was fresh and beautifully prepared. No misses. And even though the specific items I had aren't available anymore, I'd go back in a heartbeat to see what they're cooking up next. If you're still convinced landlocked states can't do seafood right--Choza is here to change your mind. Come early (no reservations!) and plan to stay awhile.
