They used to be an almost weekly spot for me. But the last 3 times I've tried to go these past few months, it hasn't been great. On one visit burrito had measurable standing grease left on my plate that rendered everything soggy. Second time, I waited at an empty hostess stand for 10 minutes to be seated, couldn't flag anyone down and eventually just gave up and left. This most recent time, they were out of ice cream and I came in specifically craving a milkshake. The server this most recent time was very good, so gave an extra star for him. But I'm definitely tired of being disappointed every time I go. read more

The food is good, but the restaurant itself is dirty and overall unappealing. The staff allowed someone in with their dog which is unsanitary, and there were flies inside the building. We won't be coming back to dine in, but we might give takeout a chance. read more

I've lived very close to Great Scotts for over a year, and now last weekend I went there TWICE in one weekend, LOL Now, I did go there both times after midnight, but hey, it works for that late night craving! In fact, the first time I went I got the "AM Burger" -- and that was reaaaly good. And the fries were crispy on the outside, fluffy in the middle. The second time we got some little bites and the milkshakes. The milkshakes were SO good. And the bites were also just what we needed. I went back and forth on whether to rate it 4 or 5 stars. And at first, I thought, "4 stars" -- but that was just because it's not "fancy" ... but why does something have to be fancy to get 5 stars!? The service was great, loved the retro vibes. We love coming here. All of the servers and so nice, but today Alice (or Alex?) she made our visit over the top good. She's one of the most attentive servers I have had anywhere in a long time. She went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. Good service is almost more important than good food. Scott's Eatery has both though. Plus it is such a fun little place. We eat at Great Scott's fairly often. Their service is always terrific and the food is also good. They have a varied menu with the typical diner food options. Their Mexican food offerings are very good for a diner. Green chili smothered anything is always a winner. Their French fries are amazing. Burgers and salads are great. I imagine my burger and fries would have been good as a dine-in, where I could ask for the sauce I had paid extra for, and for ketchup for the fries, and for napkins. Came here on a Saturday with a friend for brunch. We brought our dogs because when we called they said that they were dog friendly. It was a bit confusing on how to get service on the patio. We had to call their to/go line about 3 times before somebody came to help. We finally got our order placed , which didn't take too long after ordering. But I ordered an eggs benedict and they didn't bring real silverware, I had to ask for it. Aside from the mess on figuring out how to order food, the price for what you get is very good. They also gave a large amount of food. But the hashbrowns were slightly dry and not seasoned. The eggs benedict was decent. The menu is huge, so maybe I'd come back. We were at Great Scotts to celebrate our mom's heavenly birthday. We were seated immediately. I did call ahead of time to let them know that that would be anywhere from 11 to 15 of us so they did have tables ready for us! We ordered an appetizer chicken fingers. I need rings tater tots cheese sticks was pretty good. The atmosphere in there is pretty 50-ish. I guess I should say they had a lot of Elvis Presley music playing which was fine. They have super bright lights in there which I don't care for but that's how it's designed. Our food came out and the reason that I'm giving Great Scotts at four is because, my man's plate did not even compare to what the picture was on the menu. I ordered chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes with vegetable medley. Everything was cold on my plate and that is why I'm giving a four stars other than that they took care of us very well. We had a great time, we might try it again..... our server was super friendly and sweet. She brought us some plates out and clean forks for the cutting of mom's cake, and we went ahead and left her the rest of it so she could share with the kitchen crew..... Great Scott's is a cool place decorated like a diner from the 50's. I was there on a Sunday around noon. Even though it was busy they moved people through pretty quickly and I was seated within 20 minutes. They have tons of options on their menu. I chose breakfast and went with the Strawberry Shortcake French Toast which came with a side of bacon and eggs. The French toast was 4 big slices of angel food cake topped with strawberries, powdered sugar and whipped cream. The sweetness of the French toast was just enough so that I didn't need to add syrup. The eggs and bacon satisfied my savory craving. I also tried the stuffed biscuits which were huge! They were stuffed with hash brown, bacon and gravy and topped with eggs. This is a comfort food meal that's plentiful and hearty. I would definitely order these two meals again but there are so many other things to try. It feels like you're in a Tarantino film when you enter this diner. The food met all of my diner quality expectations, which is to say, most of the key breakfast items were pretty good. Pancakes weren't too exciting but French toast with strawberries and whipped cream was great. Corned beef hash, one of my favs, was fine but nothing special and didn't come as I was expecting it. It looks like one big hash brown with the corned beef stuck on the other side. Eggs over easy were cooked perfectly! Coffee on the other hand was a bit bitter and disappointing. Our service was actually too good if that's possible. Several people asked us if we needed help and/or needed anything else. I learned that the difference between and eatery and a restaurant is that two servers are better than one! I also enjoyed practicing my Spanish with the honest bi-lingual waitress. She didn't give me false information about a dish she didn't know about it like some waitresses might and her recommendation for my friend's jalapeño bacon breakfast was bomb and unique. This place is pretty quirky. They offer a discounted separate menu for 55 year olds and up. They also sell momento maple syrups and more in their "gift" store. They also specifically list the "healthy items" list as if it acknowledge that everything else they offer isn't healthy. Portions are generous and pricing is what you'd expect for a place like this-$10 for my corned beef hash, eggs included. The menu is sprawling and I could imagine enjoying a late night burger here or coming back whenever I'm in the mood for diner food. There's a dispensary and liquor store conveniently located next door for after meal entertainment. It's all right off the highway and perfect stopover on the way from/to ski mountains. read more

Service was great! We came here because we moved nearby and figured we wanted to support a local business for breakfast today. We got seated right away and the staff was very friendly and efficient! Tables were cleaned well in a matter of maybe 30 seconds. The food was pretty solid. I ordered the Earl grey tea and stuffed biscuits. I got sausage as the meat in the biscuits and they were full links. Eggs cooked to preference. I loved how the tea came with lemons and honey and a little kettle of extra hot water. I wasn't going to write a review because I know they don't get checked but I really feel like I have to. If an owner sees this I really want to tell you that your waitress Daisy is the most personable person to wait on us in a REALLY LONG time! She needs to be training and please treat this one good. The high turn over in this industry is hard enough but seriously not enough people have "people skills" anymore. My husband in and I went in last night and he had the chicken fried chicken (on top of the mashed potatoes lol, she hooked that up), lol and I had strawberry shortcake French toast and a side of hasbrowns. Whoever came up with the strawberry shortcake French toast is a GENIUS. Best French toast I have ever had. It's been a long time coming and I finally made my way to this amazing diner. I used to drive by their other location quite often, but never forced myself to eat there. And now I can finally say I have and it was DELICIOUS! What did I end up getting that was SO delicious? As a person who loves Chicken Fried Steak, I saw they had Chicken Fried Chicken and had to try it. (Sucker for fried things and also a bit different than the classic). Crispy, Juicy and Tender were all there. Its hard to get all those when you have a heaping spoonful of gravy on top. Eggs were done really well and the Hash Browns stayed decently crispy and weren't overly soggy or greasy. If you haven't visited before you should. SERVICE: Unfortunately it was not that great. We often were left waiting for various parts of our order, refills, or our checks. I wouldn't recommend coming here if you are on a time crunch. EATS: While most of the table noshed on a variety of burgers - I opted for The Dip with sweet potato waffle fries. It was quite tasty! The sweet potato waffle fries were spot on and perfectly crisp.
