And so many different flavors of milkshakes! I was a little confused with how the combos worked so I accidentally ended up ordering a 6 inch single patty burger with a fry and a vanilla milkshake. These 6 inch burger is massive! I definitely should've got the standard 4 inch burger but with two patties. That would've been the same price that I paid for the 6 inch. The burger was juicy and not too greasy! The fries were crispy and great for dipping in my vanilla milkshake! I asked the cashier if she liked a particular milkshake and she gave me an honest answer instead of just trying to sell me a milkshake! I was appreciative of that. Oh my gosh, this is like a blast to the past... all with the little Bobby Darin "Mack, the knife" in the background.. We had the 6 inch burgers, holy cat that is a big burger but a great smash burger and the prices were absolutely awesome... Three of us ate 3 6inch cheeseburgers, jimmies (fries and rings), and 2 chocolate malts under $30!!! The cheeseburgers come with everything on it that you could ever want... lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, mustard and pickle.... There are a lot of other things you could add like green chilies, jalapeño... Etc. etc.. Service was super quick. We are really glad we showed up about 4 o'clock because it got busy with long lines right after we got our order... How to improve on classic, the old bakery just shuts down out nowhere and some thought Jim's was doomed, but then Bam they found a new local bakery to supply them. The New Buns are amazing and truly an upgrade to this Denver Metro Classic! I ate here a few weeks ago before they ran out of the old buns... well I went in today I was pleasantly impressed. Service is always good and food was better, the staff is friendly and seems like they don't hate their jobs... the dine in is typical Jim's... they really need to up their game on the wiping down tables but let's be honest they Never have and updating the restaurant is out of the question, it literally hasn't changed since the 80's! But the best and only change, "granted Forced on them" they have made was the buns and it was a great decision to go with whoever they found. I'll definitely be back more often now! read more

Service is great! Ambiance is finer style which is perfect for this joint. Food - I am a burger connoisseur and although they do make an absolutely giant burger that is affordable priced,, in my eyes I've had better tasting. They serve smash burgers but it could definitely use more of a char to the burger. The flavor just was not there for me. Typically, we go to the Jim's Burger Haven on 88th. We found our self on Sheridan and I'd remembered there was one. My wife, daughter and I stopped in on the way home and grabbed some burgers for takeout. Unfortunately, myself, and my whole family were disappointed. The buns were rockhard. The meat wasn't in a pat and was falling out of the bun and the flavor just was not there. I let the manager know and she said next time you come in, let us try to make it right. I was told after going to Grandpa's burger that I had to try Jim's next. We stopped in on a random Saturday and had no problems parking and getting through the short line to order. I got the original 6inch burger with everything on it, jimmy's (frings) and a chocolate and butterscotch milkshake. My husband got a double cheeseburger, buffalo chips and a shake. Not only was this all cheaper than us going to Grandpas but it took 40 minutes less time. We waited at Grandpas for 50 minutes for our food. At Jim's it was ready in 11. Love that there is plenty of seating. Looks like it used to be an old Wendy's from 80's. Everything was good. The burger lacked son seasoning. Jim's has been rocking the burgers since 1961. There is always a line and it is worth the wait. There is a decent amount of parking. The menu is prominently displayed so you can make decisions prior to reaching the register. I have not had a bad experience here. I normally get the 4" with cheese and all that comes on it: yellow mustard, shaved lettuce, tomato, onion & pickle. The beef is from Colorado and the buns are from Aspen Baking Company. They are local and they support local. This last time instead of fries, I got the cheese curds with ranch. They were tasty. The atmosphere is fun. Came here for a late lunch and was pleasantly surprised! Jim's is a 50s style burger joint that uses local Colorado ingredients. I ordered a 4 inch cheeseburger combo with fries and a Diet Coke. I've been coming to Jim's for a long time and if I'm honest, good customer service here is rare, unless you get one specific young lady. She always made it clear she wasn't a manager, but anytime something went wrong, I went to her. She'd fix it without blinking an eye, like it truly mattered. You could hear her in the back sometimes, trying to keep things in order when it got loud, she cared in a way that stood out. She always laughed, always took a moment to talk with me, and out of everyone I've ever encountered there, she was the only one who truly seemed to care about being there. Hearing that she is leaving honestly saddened me more than I expected. Between that and the changes like the bun size, it's hard to see myself coming back anytime soon. read more

The burgers are fair to middlin' with the flavorless beef patty overshadowed and overwhelmed by the condiments. The beverage bar is pretty disgusting. It was difficult to access condiments when we were there. The lone ketchup pump was depleted and the fella manning the beverage bar pretended to care but put it back on the counter without replenishing it after handing out sympathy ketchup packets. Bear in mind that there were streams of ketchup on the side of the container. It was unsanitary.
