Scenic view of Federal sets the mood
    Mateo E.

After a day of Spring slush and some ski traffic, my young son was ravenous. He wanted McDonald's (don't blame me, he has two parents). Incredulous, I told him we'd try something better and headed south on Federal to Grandpa's We sat out on the picnic tables in the parking lot, literally a few feet from cars whizzing by on Federal. One bite of his small double burger made him forget all about that clown Ronald. He polished it off faster than you can say, "Wow, Dad, thanks for bringing me here. Can we come again?" That came after the burger disappeared. I went large and had my own double cheeseburger. Large is an understatement and I almost foundered after half of it and some fries. It was good cold later on. Grandpa's has real ice cream and it's deliciously filling. My chocolate shake was only half gone by the time we were back home. Grandpa's offers a trip back in time predating corporate frankenfood sameness. It reminds me of the old school drive-ups of my childhood with freshness and quality. Burgers are thin. Fries are fat and the shakes will put pounds on you. Recommended.

Stopped by Grandpa's Burger Haven for the first time, and wow--this place is the definition of a classic burger stand! I went with the double burger and a side of onion rings, and both were absolutely spot on. The burger was everything you want--HUGE, juicy, flavorful, and stacked high with fresh toppings. The soft bun held everything together perfectly without getting soggy. And those onion rings? Crispy, golden, and full of flavor--easily some of the best I've had in a long time. No frills, no gimmicks--just good food made the old-school way. If you're craving a solid, no-nonsense burger, Grandpa's Burger Haven is the place to go!

Tried this place for the first time and I got the large double cheese burger . It was good. But the frys I didn't care for. Think they need to choose a different kind of fries.

An early dinner before an event. The burger was tasty for a fast food style thin patty. The fries are pretty good. We sat at the little tables outside.

A Denver institution. Old school, and delicious. I have been going here as long as I can remember, and it is still as good as ever.

    Triple with cheese no onion.

Big delicious burgers. I usually get the triple with cheese and it's tough to finish. The fries and onion rings are bangin. I wish they took orders over the phone. They just won't...

I have this problem that I'm immediately a fanboy of any business that's...well...been in business for a long time. Grandpa's Burger Haven has been a Denver mainstay since the 1960's. It's an old school burger joint doing it their way or the highway. And who doesn't admire that? Now there are a few rules when you come here. The words "modern" or "contemporary" or "21st century" are nowhere to be found. The burgers are gigantic, roughly the size of a large donut like an apple fritter. They have regular hamburgers or steakburgers, and they're available in different sizes. From the outside looking in, you'll notice this is a burger stand not a sit down restaurant. There is ZERO seating. These burgers are meant to be enjoyed in your car like the drive thrus of yesteryear. You can try to wait until you're home to dive in, but the greasy smell of that brown bag will force you to dive in. I burnt my mouth devouring those onion rings. Man, these were delicious! Crunchy, well seasoned and piping hot. I love a good onion ring and these were damn tasty. I couldn't believe the size of the large cheeseburger. The burger and bun are the size of your face. All burgers come with mustard, lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles. You might like your burgers differently, but I, in fact, love the simplicity of these old school burger flavors. Definitely on #TeamMustard in this house. It's a behemoth to eat. It won't blow your mind, but to me it was properly cooked and dressed. I liked it! For those who love those big, big buns, Grandpa's Burger Haven has you covered. Love it or hate it, they've been in business longer than half of the population has been alive. And to me, you have to respect places that have stood the test of time.

Amazing burgers, classic old school type of joint. Fries are super crispy and yummy. I've only had the cheeseburgers, regular size and the big size. The big one really is large! I have yet to try the chicken sandwiches or the steakburgers, so we will see! Shakes are A1

Loved the small burger! Did not love the seasoning on the fries. But bonus points for the onion rings. Wish we could eat there!

Elevated Hospitality: A Masterclass in Event Execution at Tom's Watch Bar…read more I recently organized an event for 120 guests at Tom's Watch Bar in Denver, and the experience was nothing short of spectacular. From the initial contract phase to the final onsite execution, the team proved they are true masters of high-stakes hospitality. The Vision & Planning Working with Joanna during the planning phase was a dream. She is a consummate professional with a sharp eye for detail. She understood exactly how to translate our brand into the space, creating a custom Denver-themed digital design featuring our logo that played across every large screen. The energy it brought to the room was palpable--our Immediate Past President was so impressed she's already requested the same "wow factor" for all our future events. The Spread The catering exceeded all expectations. We opted for a diverse package that catered beautifully to everyone, including our vegetarian and vegan guests. The Savory: The mac & cheese was a crowd favorite, and the chicken tenders were perfectly crispy and moist. The loaded sliders and tater tot bar also kept the energy high throughout the evening. The Sweet: Do not miss the dessert bar. Specifically, there is a peanut butter bar with an incredible internal crunch that is absolutely addictive. The Atmosphere & Entertainment The venue layout is genius. We had a mix of indoor seating for both small and large group discussions, plus an incredible outdoor space with stunning stadium views. We brought in a third-party karaoke vendor, and the staff--Joanna, Zach and Matt--coordinated with them so seamlessly behind the scenes that I didn't have to worry about a single technical detail. Between the karaoke, Jenga, and cornhole, there was never a dull moment. The Service What truly sets this venue apart is the personal touch. Zach and Matt are absolute stars. Knowing I was busy managing the entrance and welcoming guests, they went out of their way to check in on me personally, ensuring I had food and a drink in hand. That level of care for an event organizer is rare and deeply appreciated. If you are looking for a venue that combines a high-energy atmosphere with white-glove professional service, Tom's Watch Bar is the place. Request Joanna, Zach, and Matt--you'll be in the best hands in Denver.
