Finally got to check out NADC burger in Larimer Square last night. It is easily the most casual restaurant on the block and was relatively empty on a Friday night. We placed our orders at the cash register, and took a table for a relatively short wait to get our food. NADC has a limited menu, an approach that makes sense in a burger joint IMO, and I got the namesake (double) burger, an order of fries and a beer. It was $30 for that, and honestly I don't have much of a quibble with that these days, though using disposable plastic cups doesn't help the ambiance or the environment. The smash burger had great seared lacey edges, and while it was melting and hot, my top bun was still cold to the touch. The fries were really crispy, and appeared to be coated/battered to achieve further effect. There was what seemed to be more burger sauce for dipping and something akin to ketchup + that was extra tangy and reminded me of Worcestershire sauce. All in all it was good, but exceptionally one note, which I blame on an aggressive amount of salt and pepper. The pickled jalapeños, cheese and sauce didn't even register their flavor when I was eating it. And because the fries were likewise salty and there was not a typical sweet ketchup pairing, they did not help the situation. A couple of my friends enjoyed their burgers more, but they also got singles which may have changed the balance some. Beyond that, we were told they didn't have a restroom that we could use, because it's apparently downstairs and the elevator was out of service. So it wasn't a particularly great place to hang out and we needed to go elsewhere to find facilities afterwards. I would put it at 3.5 stars overall; some room for improvement. read more

I love that they sell colorado cola here ... it's so refreshing going to places that have something different rather than coke or Pepsi products. The burgers are pretty tasty as well. I love that it's conveniently located on Larimer street. It's a nice pit stop in between events in the area or going here before or after a show at comedy works and stuff like that. It's a small menu but they make what they know and do a good job with those items. There's plenty of spots to sit inside or grab your food and go and hang out on Larimer! Looking for a good burger joint? Try NADC. it's a wagyu smashburger, juicy, good bun, pickles and cheese. I ordered the kid's burger, single pattie, and it was perfect for me. If you're very hungry, get the regular which is a double pattie. Fries are fresh and crispy. They looked like they were double fried which make them extra crunchy, but tender in the middle. The dipping sauces are a spicy ketchup or what might be their version of ketchup mayo. We grabbed some burgers after a comedy show. It was Thursday night, and only a few customers. Although a few groups came in after we got our food. The space is railroad style with the kitchen at the very back. You've got to ride an elevator down a level to get to the bathroom. I love the simple concept and have been wanting to try this place for ages. Finally made it before our DCPA show. The location is great, the vibe simple and cool building, and I hate to say this it was an underwhelming experience. While the burger was fresh, overall it was meh. Not a lot of flavor on a stale bun. The fries were cold. They sit in the counter while the chef finishes getting the burgers ready and too much time passes for hot fresh fries. On a sunday afternoon, there was plenty of seating. You approach the counter, order, then find a spot. They'll call your name out when it's ready. I had a really disappointing experience at NADC Burger. I ordered a burger and very clearly asked for no onions. Somehow, my order was interpreted as no bun, and I received a burger without a bun. When I went back to let them know the order was wrong and asked if they could remake it correctly, the employee who helped me, Jacob, was extremely rude and argumentative. Jacob insisted that he specifically remembered me ordering the burger with no bun. I find that incredibly hard to believe, because who orders a burger with no bun when that's not what they asked for? Regardless of how the misunderstanding happened, I was the customer standing there with an incorrect order, and I simply wanted it fixed. Instead of apologizing or trying to resolve the issue they just wanted to argue. The attitude I received when I brought the mistake to their attention was completely unacceptable. Mistakes happen and I understand that. What matters is how a restaurant handles those mistakes. Unfortunately NADC burger failed miserably when it came to customer service and making things right. read more

Good burger, located in Larimer square this spot is a cool pregame burger spot. It's open late and is a cool space, littered with interesting art. You don't have much to choose from literally one type of burger, two types of fries, and one dessert, a cookie. For the basic burger and fries you're looking at $22ish dollars out the door... so I would say a little pricey for what you're getting. That being said, it tastes pretty good. The burgers are smash burger style no lettuce or tomato, the jalepenos are a nice touch but wish there were more of them. The problem is it's priced like a great burger, $16 for their flagship burger which is a double smash burger that's about the size of a McDouble and a taste that doesn't justify the price point. This place had a lot of hype, and my fiancé liks smash burgers, so we were excited to try. Honestly one of the worst price-to-taste ratio burgers I've ever had in my life, maybe the worst. Just no good flavor in the beef, salty, wasn't a huge fan of the sauce or jalepenos and it was expensive!! Shake shack is infinitely better. Also, it is not table service, so just really does not feel worth it at all. We came around 11:45pm and the workers were really nice to still let us sit and eat. As it is in downtown, expect to park along the streets and walking over to the burger shop. There's literally one kind of burger on the menu, and the burger itself was really good. It was juicy and I loved the char and meaty flavor from the patties. With that said, one thing I noted was that it was leaning a bit rich and greasy towards the end of the meal. We ordered fries and highly recommend getting them in Beast Mode! Our order came out to be around over $30 for a burger, drink, and fries which is a bit steep for the price. I heard rumblings of their Denver launch and to have something more casual in Larimer Square sounded like a big win to me. Great portion size for the price, you can split them unless you're coming straight from the gym. Cheesy and tangy, while the fries have the perfect texture. Also, they're fried in beef tallow! Props to being open late on a Monday night Downtown. We need more places to do this and though it wasn't busy I was grateful for an open dining room where we could sit and have a beer with our meal.
