Combo

We ordered this to our hotel room, did not take long was very fast. We were disappointed on the size of the fried jalapeños, paid around $7 for this tiny little side. Definitely not worth the seven dollars. The combo had just enough fries, but the tender on the bun was so tiny not worth it. The flavor and taste was there crunchy on the outside juicy on the inside. They just need to fix the portion sizes for the price you pay.

My husband and I stopped by here on a whim. We were in the area getting boba and decided we wanted to grab some lunch first and this place caught our eyes. We got The Bird and The Loaded Bird and shared both- they were fantastic. The sand which was stacked nicely so the portions were a good size, and super tasty. We left pleasantly surprised and satisfied.

A solid spot when I'm in Denver craving flavorful, spicy chicken. This is the Nashville-style hot chicken with a wide range of spice levels when you need a heat-packed dish. The menu features chicken sandwiches, wings, and deep-fried Oreos for dessert. The staff is friendly and like mountain climbing sherpas, will guide you through the spice options (caution: some choices can be very hot). The chicken wings are excellent, served with Buffalo sauce, BBQ sauce, or a fiery Nashville dry rub. The atmosphere is casual, the portion sizes are decent, and the service is quick but they do get busy which of course leads to longer wait times.

Ok, spice is good. However, chicken is RAW!!! The cook needs to cook their chicken better to make sure they don't get their customers sick! Beware, ask the cook to leave the chicken on the grill longer, or find a better chicken place. Edit: Good they refunded when my husband went back there and showed the picture, but RAW chicken is carelessness. Please be safe.

The bird sandwich

when i saw the photos, i was excited, but honestly i was kind of disappointed. When you order a sandwich that cost 9.99 and up and it doesnt come with anything else. *shaking my head* i think it is overpriced for a sandwich with nothing else. Atleast have some fries or come with a chip. Let start with the food we got. So we got the bird sandwich medium spicy, the early bird with the hotest spicy (with a sign wavier) and the loaded burrito. The spicy wasnt that spicy to be honest. The blazing was not as spicy as i thought it would be, the only thing that was spicy was the seasoning. If the whole chicken was spicy together, now that is a different story. Both the sandwich was not great becuz it comes with a small piece of chicken. The chicken was dry as well. The only good think i enjoy was the loaded burrito, but it didnt come with another sauce, only drizzle sauce on it. It needs some additional sauce to it. But overall, i have had better and i hope this place can up their game! The oreo shake was good, it got too sweet afterward. Im not a very sweet person, but my family like it.

Loaded burger? No. Spicy? No What a joke

Not loaded or spicy. A sad, sad, overpriced establishment. Id rather get McDonald's next time, which is hilariously bad

Lots of med sauce. Could be used for something possibly. Bit overkill.

They use Napa cabbage as the base and it felt like they didn't dry it well after washing the lettuce. My salad was pretty wet. The burger was fantastic! The bacon was thick and perfectly cooked. I love goat cheese on a burger and the tomato marmalade added a nice tang. On my 2nd visit, my friend and I shared the Rocky Mountain Oysters appetizer because when you're in Colorado you have to have them! They're lightly breaded and fried, so they have a nice crunch. The horseradish dip is tasty! Service was excellent both visits! They kept my iced tea glass refilled and were quick with anything I needed. I also liked that their outdoor patio is on the 16th street mall, next to a street that's closed to cars, so you don't get a ton of car traffic and fumes. Instead you can people watch and enjoy the pretty sky art while you eat.

He upgraded his side to the brussels sprouts. I got the peachy colada, a bbq pulled pork sandwich, and stuck with the fries. We shared the peach crumble for dessert. We were definitely stuffed by the end. The burger was good, but I am a sucker for goat cheese. The brussels were the right amount of cooked, but under seasoned. Had to add salt. The pulled pork sandwich was really good, especially with the texas toast it came on. My drink was good if you like sweet drinks (I do). The peach crumble was delicious and was perfect on a hot day (it comes with ice cream). It did come out fresh, so it was hot. It was pretty cool inside and the decor fit the theme. It made it feel like a nicer restaurant. We ate inside just since it was hot out, but they had the misters going in the patio. The service was just okay.

Not gonna lie, I was expecting a bit more from Steubens…read more My boyfriend and I chose this place for national fried chicken day and it was a bit of a let down. The fried chicken plate, although hefty, was mediocre. The chicken was not all that flavorful and also dry. The biscuit though with butter and jam hit the spot! My wife and I stopped into Steuben's to have a snack (donut holes) and a couple of rounds of cocktails. We used the Dining Out Passbook for BOGO cocktails with purchase of food. Our bartender (who was perfectly friendly and helpful) said he needed his manager to get the free cocktail. To be clear, we had literally no interaction with this woman at any point. So it's not like we did something to piss her off. When she arrived at the POS station - behind the bar about six feet from where we were sitting - she proceeded to complain about the "a-holes" (edited for language) using the Passbook and what a bunch of a-holes those customers were (not knowing we were in earshot). And when the bartender - who knew who we were and that we could hear everything - said in a hushed tone "No, they were nice" she proceeded to tell him that she didn't care and that they're just a-holes. I've never been treated so shoddy in my life in a restaurant for no other reason than using a promotional discount that they voluntarily participated in. It's bad enough to attack your customers for using a discount. But doing it behind the bar where customers can hear you is beyond unacceptable. And doing it when the customers you're talking about are within earshot is the most offensive thing I've ever expereinced at a restaurant. You may go to Steuben's and have a nice meal, but just be aware that behind the bar, they're talking about what an a-hole you are.

Our food was dropped off by someone else and about 10 mins later she stopped and asked if everything was ok. I asked for napkins and again observed her go to other tables, deliver drinks from the bar, drop off menus back to the host counter, back to pick up food and deliver it. By this time I'm headed to get my own napkins and I think we she seen me, she remembered that I asked for napkins minutes ago! I'm not really a "let me speak to your manager" type of person because I don't want anyone to think I want something for free, but I did make sure to let her know how disappointed I was with her service. Then of course came the "OMG, I MEANT NO HARM, I DIDNT WANT TO SMOTHER YOU", but "smothering" the other tables was okay. Yeah, very conflicting!! The only time she was prompt with showing up at the table was when she brought the bill and the receipt. I wanted to order dessert but wasn't looking forward to anymore negligence. Also not to mention, this same person sat us against the window where it's a den for flies! As far as the food, the wings were 10/10!!! My husband said the oysters were very tasty but small. He figured that's why they're $2 on Mondays. The catfish was fried perfectly (asked for it to be fried hard) but both the fish AND the grits could have used some seasoning. It was very bland but having the Old Bay on the table came right on time! It definitely improved the flavor. Once added, it was great! The Oxtail Arancini was tasty as well. Overall, I'd dine again, but I'd leave if I had to be seated in Adelia's section. And yes, we left a small tip because she didn't deserve anything at all. If her tip had to be split with the kitchen then she should have given it all to them. Tips are service based and shouldn't be expected without good service. Hopefully she learns to be attentive to EVERY table, we're paying patrons just like everyone else.

I wanted to give the restaurant a chance especially since the owner worked hard after my first experience to make it right. I rate on a 1(awful) to 5 (amazing) scale. Ambiance: One of the cleanest restaurants I've ever been in. You can eat off the floors! Spacious and interesting interior. Loved the exposed brick. But the music was too loud & bumpin for a Sunday evening meal (in my opinion). Had to talk over it. Rating: 4.5/5 Food: I'm sensitive to profit margins and such. When I go to small businesses, I try not to ask for "extras". All I wanted was the fried pork chops with no gravy (they come smothered). The waitress said that wasn't possible. I asked why-all I wanted was for them NOT to put gravy on the pork-chops (I was going to get it on the side). She was adamant that wasn't possible and couldn't give me a reason why. Only thing I can figure is the pork-chops were pre-made and already smothered. So I got the fried chicken, cabbage, and yams with white bread. Cabbage was shredded (different than what I'm used to, but not bad.) Hot sauce gave them some flavor. Yams were very sweet, but I enjoyed them. Both portions of sides were TINY. Especially considering the a la carte price of over $5 per side. The fried chicken was...ok. Which is surprising since I always enjoyed their wings. Now, I was asked whether I wanted cornbread ot white bread. I said white bread & when I said white bread, I was expecting a roll. But I literally got four pieces of wonder bread. No butter either. I was going to get the Red Kool-Aide but they only had Blue. I understand, not a big deal and I even joked with the server about it. I settled for water. Then I saw the price for Kool-Aide: $4.50 and NO REFILLS!!! Egregious. I could see a limit on refills. But NO refills for $4.50??? IKYFL. Rating: 2/5 Service: MUCH improved since my first visit. I had a reservation, and arrived on time. I was greeted by the friendly hostess and sat immediately. But it went south with the previously mentioned pork chop issue. The server could've said "Let me ask if we can do that." No good reason and no attempt to see if anything could be done. No salt and pepper on the table and when I asked for some, I was given tiny packets. My glass was kept full of water by different people, all of whom were polite. But my waitress only came to the table after delivering our food once. The hostess actually cleared our table and brought a little machine over to take payment. No printed receipt, just reading the items from the machine and given a total. Strange and a little off-putting. I want to look at a paper receipt. But that's just me. No offer of dessert, just the bill and a thanks for coming. Rating: 2. Overall rating out of a possible 15, they earned a 8.5. A generous "2 Stars". Today was my birthday and I was really looking forward to it. I left disappointed. I eat at a lot of restaurants and take people to lunch at least 2x per week. I tend to take people to the same places when I can get a consistently good experience. This being my 3rd visit and I'm still not satisfied, I can't say I'll be back.
