This is a legitimate hole in the wall so if you are looking for a fancy ambiance, this is not for you. But if you come for the food, then you are in for a treat. I tried their goat meat which is a recent addition to their menu and it was so good, I had to get a second order and eat it right there and then. The owner is friendly and kind, and let me get that second even after they had closed. read more

when I went in I was very confused it did not look like food was being served, and had a whole set up of heated bins but all empty in the front. lol They definitely have to work on the ambiance. But I saw pictures online and it looked delicious and healthy so I was like you know what ... I'll give it a shot because I'm hungry and I don't feel like doing super fast food right now! I decided to try it I got the chicken Shawarma meal , really delicious green sauce, along with the hummus and Taziki. Definitely good for what it is. Just wish I had more pita. Lol read more

My group of 3 ordered the tilapia sandwich, the shawarma plate, and the gyro salad plate. Everything was delicious and the perfect portions! We also got some baklava for dessert. As we were going to leave, the owner came out and offered us a free set of three cheese sambusas with dipping sauces - these were fantastic as well. We'll be back! read more

Great arabic food! The restaurant is in Downing and the parking is easy to miss if you're not paying attention. I got the falafel sandwich to go and thoroughly enjoyed it. I liked the additional spicy green sauce that came along with the order. I'll be back tomorrow my way through the menu. Arabic food is not super common to find in this part of town so I am glad I have one more option! The tables were dirty, but seeing as it was a one man show I can see how it got away from him. I, also, opted to take out so it didn't bother me as much. read more

Definitely give this place a try! Everything we ordered was amazing..Philly sub is a must!.. Wings are messy and amazing (we opted for the Hayati sauce). Lamb & gyro sandwich were so good! The young lady at the front was super nice and helpful. There isn't much of a seating, I'd plan for a carry out. Highly recommend this hidden Halal place, and I'd definitely be back when we're in the area. read more

You know hole in the wall places have the best food! We had a chicken shawarma sandwich, a steak gyro sandwich, bbq wings, and crispy fries. Delicious! Def recommend if you're in the area. Sandwiches are bigger than they look in pics too! read more

These pictures do this place no justice. Fish taste like box fish. The red sauce made the fish Wet & soggy. No good. Literally a hole in the wall type place. & the ambiance felt dirty. Service was okay. Mediocre. Won't be back. read more

The food was truly exceptional. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, bursting with flavor, and beautifully plated. It's clear that a lot of passion and skill go into every item on the menu. read more

Good food. Terrible service. Your takeout order will be wrong (I've tried multiple times) and won't actually be cooked until you get there.

easy parking and pick up was seamless. friendly staff. arguably the best shwarma I've ever had. everything tasted amazing and the sauce was a standout. will certainly be back! read more

Not really fancy digs. But that allows them to bring wholesome food at a reasonable price. We had the chicken kabob. Comes with a side salad a nicely seasoned rice. Our other dish was the gyro, also with sides. The gyro was a little too heavily salted representing the only flaw in our meal. Overall a pleasant experience. read more

Great, affordable food. Family run business. Each time I've been here I've gotten great food and have had great interactions. Happy I found this spot. Their gyro and baklava are my favorites! Don't forget to order a side of fries too. read more

Stopped by while passing through Denver. We order the Chicken Shawarma and the Chicken Kebab plate. The food was incredibly delicious, some of the best I have ever had. Each bite was an explosion of flavor. If we ever find ourselves in Denver again, we will definitely visit again! read more

Decent Mediterranean food but not my favorite. We found the place after visiting the nearby beer spa and love Mediterranean food. The interior does not look good - kinda rundown and no one else was there besides the workers- so we ordered food to go. We ordered a grilled chicken plate to share and it was a decent amount of food for the price. I was sad there wasn't any tzatziki sauce and we were only given a tiny amount of hummus. The chicken and the rice were good. The falafel was just okay, nothing special. We also got baklava which was hard- it tasted super old and that it's been sitting in the tray for awhile. It's too bad there aren't more Greek/ Mediterranean places in Denver (that I've found) but sadly I don't think I'll be back here. read more

BEST FOOD IN DENVER. I got the falafel sandwich with Basmati rice and grapeleaves. I cannot express how I've longed for good food in Denver that is reasonably priced. The people there are extremely kind. It's a little shop so just order for pickup but WOW. Good vibes! read more

This was 12 minutes from city park and the museum of nature and science. Plenty of free parking. Very inexpensive place to eat. It was quite small but the 2 man staff hustled. Gyro plates and sandwiches were just wonderful! I would have the gyro plate again. Service was just excellent. The Sawarma was just chicken, I would get the gyro sandwich again. read more

Ambiance not suitable for eating there especially with family. Just take out. Kind staff but you will eat on stereo-foam and with plastic utensils. read more

Supremely excellent food. There are occasions when I walk into a restaurant and wonder "what is this place about?" It's a little hole in the wall style place in five points. In all honesty when I first walked in, I didn't think there was any way this place could have warranted it's 5 star status on Yelp. I'm very happy to report that I was WRONG! I ordered a Gyro and I can't even believe I'm saying this, it was the best damn Gyro I've ever had in my friggin life! Spicy and flavorful. Perfectly cooked meat with a nice crispy finish. Absolutely astonishing quality. The service was quick and attentive. My food was freshly cooked and brought out upon ordering. Really inspired cooking coming out of this restaurant and I'll definitely be back. read more

Really good food but didn't get our order right on our takeout order. And it was not a custom request.

This is not even a Mediterranean restaurant. The restaurant is disgusting. The smell of the bathroom you can smell from a mile away. The people in there are dirty and they don't wash their hands. read more

came here with my boyfriend after sun down to break fast. seems to be family owned, the lady taking our order also brought us our food. she was patient as we looked through the menu and extremely kind. she even gave us a free dessert to eat while we waited for our food. we ordered a variety of items on the menu: chicken wings, hummus and pita bread (best hummus i've had in denver), falafel plates, and a chicken plate. everything came out hot and fresh! if you are looking for fresh, authentic, middle eastern food, this is the spot. support local! we will definitely be back. read more

Celebrating Juneteenth the right way today by supporting a local black owned restaurant. Was looking for a clean meal, high in flavor and filling and I was not disappointed. The Shawarma Plate was delicious; the chicken was tender and seasoned to perfection and served with a fresh side salad. To top it off I had to treat myself with an order of the 3pc Samosas. Just another example of good food and black excellence in Denver. read more

Hayati Mediterranean Grill - 3pc Samosas Shawarma Plate - Mediterranean Near Me - Denver, Colorado

Employees were great. Falafel wrap might be the best ive had in denver. 4 stars because the place could definitely use a deep clean.

Can't recommend and won't go back. They were fast in putting together a to-go order and that staff was nice. However, the food. The food was disappointing. Tried two different plates - I didn't even finish my chicken "schwarma" plate; the chicken was shredded chicken curry . . . and it was sweet, for some odd reason - nothing like any of the pictures on here or Google. The rice was okay, as was some green sauce that came with it. The Gyro Plate wasn't much better, but at least resembled and Gyro Plate. If you have a hankering for Mediterranean close by, I'd recommend Gyroz on Colfax. read more

Phenomenal gyro, great prices. Great for a quick high quality meal. Friendly staff and quick preparation.

I'm giving this place 4/5 simply because the fries had no flavor. Now it definitely looks a little sketchy around the outside, as well as the inside, but the food makes up for it. If you try to sub the fries for rice, you won't be getting that, because we tried for both of our orders and we still got charged for a side of rice. I don't think you should get the fries because a plate is MORE THAN ENOUGH, and the fries have A LOT of color but no flavor. I kept on trying to find the flavor but I truly couldn't. The rice and pita were my favorite part and the salad was a very small portion but it was SOO GOOD. They also had a great green sauce and yogurt sauce that was amazing. We'll definitely be going back, and just a heads up when we went there was only one person behind the counter. I got the gyro plate and it came with half a pita. If you want a decent amount of pita order a side of one. read more

This place is a scam FYI, DO NOT order from here. We ordered and they had no record and could not issue a refund.

I ordered falafel sandwiches and fries. The falafel and the sauce was good. The fries were so greasy and undercooked. They were not edible. The neighborhood was sketchy and the place did not look clean or aesthetically pleasing. read more

Hayati Mediterranean Grill - James- eats dinner - Mediterranean Near Me - Denver, Colorado

Can't comment on dining in since this was catered take-out. But here's my food for thoughts.... Hayati means "my life" in Arabic, which is what most couples say to each other to express just how far their love for each other reaches. And food and the culture of food is one of the only means to transcend politics, differences, and used as a way of expression for each other. So - I have to give a star for this concept. I got confused that this was Mediterranean food. Where is my hummus? There is Cheesesteak on the Menu and Chicken Wings!! And then I thought - maybe a hybrid of Middle-eastern but I think I'm being too picky because term Mediterranean can incorporate both while the two share flavors like the flatbreads, roasted meats, Etc The Deal: 1) Reasonable prices 2) Offerings of Goat and Lamb on the bone, obviously no Pork on the menu 3) Veggie options 4) And yes - they offer fried Oreos and Fried Cheesecake, this is honestly not my thing - but if you are from the Jersey Shore and missing this, it's on point. 5) Everything comes w/ Rice, Salad, and Pita 6) Decent Falafel but I'm pretty picky with my Falafel since I spent a lot of time in the Middle-east. 7) Fav. is Fried Tilapia because some how this was not fishy at all. The born and raised New Englander in me approves in this Landlocked state. 8) Homemade hot sauce is on point. I think I need def. give this place a non-catered try and head to the location in RINO. TBD. read more

This place is a hidden hole in the wall GEM! we showed up 15 minutes before closing and the guy was so nice to stay open and make us our food. We wanted the chicken shawarma but unfortunately he had run out of chicken by that time. We got two falafel wraps instead and they were great! Very flavorful, authentic, and tasty. We also asked for a bunch of sauces on the side and he gave them to us. The sauces were spicy and perfectly flavorful. The only thing I would say is that I felt the falafels were a little too soft, and it would have been nice if they had a crunchier exterior. Overall, delicious local spot that I'd love to continue to support. read more

The lamb shank was amazing and the service was excellent. Great place to come back to.

The food was very good. The lady working there was so nice and friendly and took orders and prepared all the food. The ambience wasn't great, but for what the place is, it was expected. It was clean and that was enough for me. Don't think you are going to a nice casual sit down place. Everything was served in to go containers so I figure most people don't plan on staying to eat. The food was on point though. read more

I ordered food here and it was not the best pita bread I ever tried but it was good. I ordered the pita sandwich with falafel and it tasted fresh to me. I asked her to put fries inside and she did. The food is great but the restaurant inside has a plain and dull aesthetic with no decoration, giving it a dark, and uninviting atmosphere. So, I wouldn't sit here and eat. read more

This is now one of my favorite spots for Mediterranean food here in Denver. The staff were so incredibly friendly, the food is Halal (yayyy for food inclusivity!), and the flavors are scrumptious! It's not a very big restaurant, so I'd suggest placing a to-go order if you have a large group. Also, if you are an adventurous eater and want to try out the goat on their menu, you might want to head over a little earlier in the day because apparently they run out of it kind of quickly. I haven't tried the goat yet, but everything else I ordered was tender, robust with flavor, and a really good value. I will definitely be back here, and I'm bringing friends! read more
