Great way to begin a meal here. For main we had the tikka masala with chicken and chicken shahenshaw which is phenomenal and not offered in most Indian restaurants. Love the cashew base. We also had garlic cheeses naan. No booze and no dessert this time. They do have a full bar and are offering bogo in certain beers and cocktails. Service was friendly and satisfactory. Phenomenal service, ambiance, and flavorful food! I walked in with a group of 12 people around 8:15pm on a Saturday night. The staff accommodated all of us, promptly took our orders, and brought our drinks out within five minutes. The food was great - each person at the table ordered something different and loved it! Personally, I tried the appetizer sampler (fried veggies and a samosa with two different sauces). I enjoyed it! I'd love to come back for their Lamb Curry. Sadly it has come to a screeching halt; from getting our order wrong to the awful taste of naan (it tasted as a mix of uncooked and unsalted dough), which we opted to compost instead, rice was also not seasoned at all, and tikka masala was average compared to other times. Had one of the best Tikka Masalas I've ever had from here! I know it's a basic order, but the flavor was absolutely killer. I went with the "hot" spice level, and while that might be too much for most people, it was perfect for me--cleared my sinuses up good. The samosa chaat was also delicious, though it came with green onions, which I'd probably skip next time. This really cute Indian/Nepali restaurant opened on 17th Street. I saw the sign for a lunch buffet as I was driving past, and I am for sure a sucker for a $9.99 Indian buffet. This placed opened a month ago and the staff are super friendly and attentive. The place is immaculately clean and they were putting up decorations while we were there. I went for the buffet and my favorites were the Chicken Tikka Masala, Gobi Manchurian and Samosas. The samosas were paired with a tamarind and green chutney that were both well made. The Gobi Manchurian is a somewhat fusion dish. As it was on a buffet heated by steam it was not as crunchy as it should be ideally but the flavor profile was on point. The Chicken Tikka Masala was the perfect blend of heavy cream, chicken, tomatoes and spices. I would for sure order this off the menu during non-buffet hours. Some of the other buffet items were Naan (made well but not the ideal texture in the buffet format), Chicken Kadai, Saffron and plain rice, chickpeas and spinach with paneer. They seem to have a lot of drink specials and great outdoor seating so I imagine this restaurant will be a destination during the summer. I must say, I'm a little disappointed in myself. I thought I had reviewed Curry & Grill 2 several months ago, and now that I've realized that's not the case, I feel responsible for not sufficiently spreading the word about this tasty place. I have an unabashed love for Indian food and when I realized Curry & Grill 2 had opened in the neighborhood and was offering a lunch buffet, I had to check it out. Truthfully, while I had some prior favorites, finding a more local location for Indian is always a win, and I relish the opportunity to try numerous things, which only a buffet can afford...affordably. The buffet lunch here may very well be the best lunch deal in town. For ~$12.99 you can get yourself some pakoras, naan, samosas, a couple of styles of rice, a few veggie curries, and a few meat options, (for example, chicken tikka, lamb curry, and chicken makhni/tikka masala), as well as some kheer for dessert. Honestly, the first time I went the taste of everything was such sheer perfection that I raved to numerous people. So much depth in the spices, and layered flavors. Perhaps the best saag paneer I had ever had. I was told by my friendly server that the buffet was offered on the weekends as well, and that they planned to rotate the dishes regularly. I've since ordered delivery from Curry & Grill 2, and gotten the buffet a few more times as well (it's a great stop post-hike, or a quick lunch on a work from home day). I appreciate the extra vegetarian dishes they offer; the sweet potato masala is a favorite, and they also put paneer in their veggie biryani which is excellent. I will say that the flavors of the lunch buffet have not always lived up to the enthusiasm of my first visit, but I think that may be a function of streamlining for the crowd size, and it's still quite enjoyable all things considered. I was also excited to see recently that they added family-style vegetarian and meat package meals to their carryout/delivery menu, which I can't wait to take advantage of. The restaurant also has a great outdoor space to gather in during nice weather. I will say that this stretch of 17th avenue isn't always known for being kind to businesses. Served in beautiful location that has space for private banquets as well as outdoor seating and a well stocked bar. I got a lunch special that is served daily until 3:00 pm. Every thing on the platter from the Indian green lentil soup, rice, 2 entrees, pickled vegetables, naan, samosas and a scrumptious Indian dessert was delightfully cooked to perfection. I have eaten here several times because of the proximity to my house and I'm just now getting around to reviewing it. In the past when the original staff was there, we always had incredible experiences. On my last visit when our food was being delivered, a roach jumped off the plate and was on the bar. The person delivering the food pretended not to see it and when we brought this up to the manager at the end, he said that he was aware of it. Incredibly delicious!! I've gone twice now and both times it has been consistently good. We got the Saag with chole (spinach curry with chickpea), the mango chicken curry. Then we got the Thali which is a platter that comes with the Tikka Masala and Korma, as well as a DELICIOUS lentil soup and rice, with a pastry. This place gets a 10/10 from me and my family. Some of the best Indian food in the Denver metro area. I've tried a couple dozen places over the years, and they have one of the best butter chicken dishes out there. The chicken is moist and the base creamy. Meaty lamb rogan josh, as they trimmed the meat well. I also love they offer so many vegetarian options. Their paneer has the right amount of softness. Their naan options are above average. I have a bunch of closer places, but this spot is worth a trip out to Aurora. read more

Met up with a group of friends to dine at this establishment we have been hearing about, rave reviews frankly and the rave review stands. We started with the Gobi Manchurian cauliflower florets and the Jaipuri Samosas-highly recommended! For the main course, we all ordered a different dish to share. I opted for the chicken korma, basmati rice, and cheese naan-all of it very, very yummy. The lamb and chicken madras along with the chicken kadai were also tasty.
