I travel for work all over the US, one of my go to's is Indian food bc it holds well being transported since many times I have to eat while I drive to xyz. I first stumbled upon Coriander about a year ago. It is hands down one of the best Indian restaurants I have ever come across. The Chicken Tikka Masala is very good and flavorful, but the lamb masala and lamb curry are crazy good. Then there is the garlic naan... IT IS OUT OF THIS WORLD. Light, buttery, crispy, thin but still somehow fluffy AND chewy. Their food is so good that I asked to eat inside instead of taking my to go order. Even though it was Sunday afternoon on Mother's Day they were extremely accommodating. The interior is great; solid playlist, nice atmosphere. If there is any takeaway from my review it's that you should stop looking and try them out ASAP. Indian food has got to be one of my favorite things and Coriander is one of the best to do it. I mean just look at that garlic naan.. it's literal perfection. Got the chicken saag and there was no shortage of it. When I ate all the rice, I was offered more at no extra cost, which I love. First time visiting Denver and I just needed some comfort food while hanging out in my hotel. Not only was the location close and convenient to where I was staying, the pickup service was also very easy. Inside they tended to me right away and accommodated me with plates for my order. I was thrown aback by all the beautiful wall art, including a huge beautiful peacock and a silver Buddha. The food was even more amazing! It hit all of my taste buds and left me feeling very satisfied. I got the alu gobi (hot) with a side of rice and plain yogurt. I don't know why I never tried this sooner, but it all paired very nicely with the garlic cheese naan. The garlic cheese naan was the star of the show, and I kept eating it even after I got full. DELISH. We had a coupon from the Denver Passport book so we stopped by on the way home from the airport. This will now be our go-to post-evening flight dinner place. I had the most excellent Indian food at Coriander near Denver International Airport. In fact it was some of the best I've had in the United States and I've had Indian curry around the world included many times in the UK and India itself in the New Delhi area. So I'd say the chicken vindaloo I ordered was up there with some of the best and while it was hot as a vindaloo dish should be it wasn't overly hot for my tastes. The cheese naan was a perfect accompaniment and the Station 26 tangerine-cream IPA was my perfect drink to wash it down. Now I'm wondering when I can get back to Coriander again as I had to fly out the next morning. Loved the interior of the restaurant and the friendly servers. I'm already craving that curry again. It is a little bit out of the way - far East - it can be a commute for those West/Central Denver but if you are ever on this side of town, 100% check it out! It is authentic Indian food and is nothing fusion (which everything in Denver seems to be now). It gives you a nice appreciation for how things are meant to be tasted. We called and ordered pickup as the online/delivery page didn't seem to work for us. They only have Delivery if you order online. Phone orders are Pickup only. Server told us our door would be ready in 15 minutes but was ready in 10 minutes, during dinner time and driving through rush hour traffic (~500pm). The service was okay. It met our minimum expectation. But, the worst part of our experience was being automatically charged a "Large Party" charge of 20%. We had a party of 4 adults and a 3-yr old. Most restaurants charge a "Large Party" charge when the party is 6 people or more. The tipping culture has gotten so out-of-hand now. I ordered take out online while here for a conference. I'd grabbed a soda nearby and assumed it would take a bit for my food to be ready and parked nearby. By the time I shifted my car into park, I had a text my food was ready, a full 10 minutes early! I ordered the butter chicken. (Mild- moderate as I wasn't sure of their spice levels) and garlic cheese naan. The butter chicken was great! I could probably have increased the heat to moderate to spicy, but since butter chicken is generally pretty mild anyway, it was perfect. The garlic cheese naan surprised me a bit, not because it was bad (quite the opposite) but because the cheese appeared to be something like cheddar, and the place i frequent in california uses goat cheese. HOLY MOLY OMG I ordered the butter chicken, the basmati rice [look, I'm mentioning the rice. When do you ever mention rice? You do when it comes from Coriander. The rice was lightly salted and perhaps tossed with a bit of ghee and herbs. I could have eaten the rice and been satisfied], the bulletproof naan, those hard cracker thing that starts with a P that comes with mint and plum sauce, and a chai tea. The chai was freaking amazing. It was the perfect amount of spice and it was not that sweet so you could actually taste the tea and spices. The butter chicken was a perfect combination of lightness and richness. It wasn't a cream sauce but the sauce tasted creamy. It was perfectly seasoned and bright with flavor. The P crackers were bomb, but beware of the mint sauce because it was sooooo spicy. The plum sauce helped with that. The naan was the coriander bulletproof naan and I thought that meant it would have coriander and butter, but NOPE that naan was a powerhouse of stuff. It had onion, jalapeno, and garlic. And the way they were arranged on the naan was with care, you could tell. I read some of the reviews that said the food was bland, and I don't know who was cooking those nights, but on this night there was nothing bland about it. I usually get saag paneer but it does tend to be a bit bland in general, so I got the butter chicken and would get it again. It was easy to order on their website (no additional fee) or through ChowNow. Their food is a bit salty, and spices are mediocre and flat. There was the yogurt sauce for the biryanis, and cilantro sauce for the samosas. Everything was wrapped nicely. Nothing really popped, but we're food snobs and have had better. still amazing, been very consistent for years. there was a small period a couple years ago where we worried they were beginning to go down in quality a bit, but it was quickly rectified and since then they have been consistently delicious, and while the prices definitely reflect the area- the portions are solid and very worth it. great to share, great for sit-down dinners, still really great at packaging their takeaway and leftovers reheat very well. highly recommend, really miss living close to this place. *side note: I've realized though we've eaten here so many times throughout the years, I don't have many photos because the food never lasts long enough for me to get one haha! read more

Wow! Everything about this restaurant was spot on. We got the chicken korma, which was delicious with little golden raisins and nice tender chunks of chicken. The garlic cheese naan was epic- two giant slices and filled with cheese and the perfect amount of garlic on the exterior. I was very impressed by the samosas- the inside had the perfect amount of seasoning, and I loved the sweet and spicy brown sauce it was served with. Everyone from the bussers to the management dropped by our table and were friendly. Wow! Wow! Wow this restaurant is fantastic! It has been many years since I had Indian food & the Coriander on Tower Road really impressed me. (Coriander also means a warm spice used in Indian dishes like masalas & curries.) They serve "Indian comfort food". I'm not the only one raving about this place - in 2023 Best of Mile High awarded them Best Indian Restaurant & again in 2022 Best of Denver Reader's Choice by Westword also awarded them Best Indian Restaurant. We arrived early for dinner on a Tuesday night & were seated right away. The dining room was empty except for us. However soon after, people started coming in & there were lots of pickup orders. We were seated in a very comfy booth. The restaurant is small but inviting, I enjoyed the traditional Indian music softly playing in the background. We ordered the Butter Chicken (medium spice) & the Shrimp Masala (mild spice) both came with Basmati Rice plus an order of Garlic Cheese Naan (flatbread). Our server was great, he checked on us often & even asked us if we needed more rice. Our meals came out really fast. Both of these dishes were delicious! The chicken was super tender & the shrimp was plump & juicy, you get about seven good-size shrimp. Don't be deceived by the plate presentation, the portion sizes are generous, we had leftovers. What really made our dinners memorable were the yummy sauces...they tasted like they had been simmering all day, (they probably were) & so flavorful. The masala is a bit sweeter than the butter sauce, both were rich & aromatic with vibrant colors.
