Food - chicken biryani, gobi Manchurian and desserts were great! Below average - tandoori chicken, fish curry (no taste), paneer butter masala, malai kofta Even after repeated feedback to the owner, there was no attempt to rectify our dinner. Took us for granted as we were over 5 people (with automatic levy of 20% gratuity). We expected basic courtesy and effort on a $300 dinner. Wow! Everything about this restaurant was spot on. We got the chicken korma, which was delicious with little golden raisins and nice tender chunks of chicken. The garlic cheese naan was epic- two giant slices and filled with cheese and the perfect amount of garlic on the exterior. I was very impressed by the samosas- the inside had the perfect amount of seasoning, and I loved the sweet and spicy brown sauce it was served with. Everyone from the bussers to the management dropped by our table and were friendly. Loved the decor and the beautiful lighting coming through the windows as well as scattered throughout the restaurant. Highly, highly recommend. read more

still amazing, been very consistent for years. there was a small period a couple years ago where we worried they were beginning to go down in quality a bit, but it was quickly rectified and since then they have been consistently delicious, and while the prices definitely reflect the area- the portions are solid and very worth it. great to share, great for sit-down dinners, still really great at packaging their takeaway and leftovers reheat very well. highly recommend, really miss living close to this place. *side note: I've realized though we've eaten here so many times throughout the years, I don't have many photos because the food never lasts long enough for me to get one haha! read more

Every time I leave Coriander I wonder why I don't come here more often. As always the service is top notch and so fast. They were almost to fast. The food came out piping hot and delicious as well. Wow! Wow! Wow this restaurant is fantastic! It has been many years since I had Indian food & the Coriander on Tower Road really impressed me. (Coriander also means a warm spice used in Indian dishes like masalas & curries.) They serve "Indian comfort food". I'm not the only one raving about this place - in 2023 Best of Mile High awarded them Best Indian Restaurant & again in 2022 Best of Denver Reader's Choice by Westword also awarded them Best Indian Restaurant. We arrived early for dinner on a Tuesday night & were seated right away. The dining room was empty except for us. However soon after, people started coming in & there were lots of pickup orders. We were seated in a very comfy booth. The restaurant is small but inviting, I enjoyed the traditional Indian music softly playing in the background. We ordered the Butter Chicken (medium spice) & the Shrimp Masala (mild spice) both came with Basmati Rice plus an order of Garlic Cheese Naan (flatbread). Our server was great, he checked on us often & even asked us if we needed more rice. Our meals came out really fast. Both of these dishes were delicious! The chicken was super tender & the shrimp was plump & juicy, you get about seven good-size shrimp. Don't be deceived by the plate presentation, the portion sizes are generous, we had leftovers. What really made our dinners memorable were the yummy sauces...they tasted like they had been simmering all day, (they probably were) & so flavorful. The masala is a bit sweeter than the butter sauce, both were rich & aromatic with vibrant colors. I saw the reviews and decided to try it out. I was not disappointed! The vindaloo is very spicy as advertised, all the rice you can eat, and the garlic naan helped me get clean plate club. I tried Coriander with some friends while visiting Denver from Cincinnati. While the service was good, the food itself left something to be desired. The chicken tikka masala just much more bland than I am used to from such a classic dish. I also ordered some saffron rice and was so sad when it came out and just tasted like white rice with peas. The naan was odd. I have never had cheddar cheese on my garlic naan and the consistency was a bit more like a tortilla shell. There is plenty of parking. Our waitress did screw up our order a bit (thought two of us were sharing naan when we weren't) and the expeditor misdelivered meals to places. These things were easily remedied and one naan order is enough to share. They cautioned us that all their food was spicy but we didn't think anything was overly spiced at all. They said we could save the coupon for the next visit, but I think they simply did not want to apply the discount that evening, which was unfortunate. They have also become very inconsistent with spice levels so sometimes you ask for medium ands it's bland and other times it's so spicy it's almost inedible. We had a great meal. Hubs is not a big fan of Indian food and rolled his eyes when we walked in, and ended up thanking the server on our way out for a wonderful experience. All dishes lacked salt so we had a add a pinch with every serving. Service was sub-par. We asked the server if they could do something about the flies in the restaurant and his response was that the other restaurants have way more flies! This was an incredible meal. I feel bad that it has taken me so long to get here. We took the food to go, but the restaurant looked very clean and neat. I would look forward to eating here in person at some point in my life. I am use to going to little India and being a little disappointed. The food here was above and beyond in flavor. It was easy to place an order through the website plus they have me $20 for spending $70. The garlic nan and cheese nan were both 8.5/10. Great flavor and had a good amount of toppings, they would have been better if they weren't so doughy. The appetizers were coconut shrimp 9/10, Chicken 65 was a 7.5/10 and the samosas were a 9.3/10. For entrees we got the masala lamb, 10/10 and the butter chicken was a 9.3/10. All in all we look forward to getting back here in the near future. read more

This place is hidden up in Green Valley Ranch and had delicious Indian Cuisine. The atmosphere was nice and welcoming, and the manager/owner came over to personally make sure we enjoyed everything. Our service was great and one of my favorite beers (of all things-that most bars don't even carry), was on their menu! Their Naan is fantastic and the spicy one was delicious, samosas, and lots and lots of veggie options, as well as meat, so everyone can enjoy. When they say something is spicy, they mean it! I have a super high spice tolerance and even my food was kicking extra! They do allow you to request more or less spice, so definitely not a deal breaker if you like mild food. Coriander has a good location. However I found there are multiple things that need more attention from the staff. Firstly, everyone in our group continuously tried adding salt to their food - suggesting everyone felt lack of it. Just to point out; we had people from all parts of India. Secondly, serving was little messy on the table, we used different table to keep the surplus food. The server should make sure how the arrangement of food is expected, not the customer. Better than your average . . . Indian restaurant. Coriander has got the basics down pat. And by "the basics" I mean the foundations with which I first look at Indian restaurants . . . The naan (and roti) and the rice. If those things are good then I know the experience is going to be an excellent one. And Coriander rocks with respect to both. Their freshly made garlic naan was some of the best I've ever had, and their basmati rice was perfectly prepared. Liked our experienced server and the tandoori chicken and rice dishes and lamb we ordered were packed with flavor and hearty taste, as was the tamarind chicken and the vegetable pakora we had. The only downside? We were seated at a table that was cramped and where the bench seats were too close to the table and could not be moved. Led to an uncomfortable situation. Should have asked to be moved since we'd made a reservation and there was other larger bench seating available, but we'd never been there before and didn't know that was an option until we left and looked around at the rest of the restaurant. Bottom line: a great spot, but don't sit in either of the 2 bench seats next to the bar! Grab one of the larger more comfortable bench seats if there are 4 of you. Namaste, David M read more
