This was very good, a bit spicy but I love the variety, I usually have the cauliflower one but great to try something different. They also provide free papad. For my main I got the Rajma and Aloo, This was very tasty, I really like the beans and sauce. Rice for days! I got garlic naan bread as well, I thought this was not as fluffy as other ones that I had, but it was very soft and still tasty. Environment Parking can get filled up pretty quick, not much parking on side, but street parking is available. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This inside was nice and cozy. Service - friendly! Easy to get seated and attentive Parking - small lot but spaces! Food was all so very tasty! I got mild for most of the items, one dish was spicy and I could feel the spice building up. I enjoyed the date naan as it was sweet but my friends didn't notice too much of the date flavor shining through. I liked the date and butter taste for myself though- it was good to eat it with the savory dishes. - Butter meatball chicken was done so well. Not dry at all! - momos - very tasty and the veggies and sweet sauce were a nice addition - garlic cauliflower- omg how did they get a crisp on it without having a lot of batter? Came here with a large group of friends for a going away party. They were able to accommodate 12 of use which we know was rather difficult. I am not super familiar with Indian food outside my go-to dishes, so we ended up ordering a bunch of random dishes. Everything was delicious! I am not entirely sure what we all order, but it was so good that I would be willing to go back and order it all again. We had a people with nut and gluten allergies; there was something on the menu for everyone even though many dishes had those allergens. The best part was when the bill came. We had at least 3 to go boxes filled to the brim and yet the bill was only $250!! It was such a great deal and ended up being less than $25 pp for the feast! This place was such a surprise and the best decision to end our Colorado trip with Indian food. The food was excellent. Service was quick and it was full. For the main course, we ordered achari aloo, katahal (jackfruit) fry, and baigan bharta all three were delicious. The naan was super soft. The pulav for kids was great too. We ended our meal with gulab jamun -there are 3 in one order and our server gave us 4 since there were four of them on the table. He saved us from fighting over gulab jamun. Traveled all over India and haven't been able to find a local restaurant that delivers authentic Indian cuisine until this place. WOW. There are many options from Northern India to the Southern (spicier and my preference) Indian cuisine. I ordered the Madras which is a southern cuisine made with coconut and curry leaves. You have your choice of rice (brown, cumin white or tumeric basmati) and choice of lamb or chicken. I ordered garlic naan was a perfect dish on a cold night. We ordered the Masala blooming onion which was almost too much food. Highly recommend and with such a large menu, it will take several visits to find my favorite dish. Extremely disappointed. Our group strictly ordered vegetarian dishes due to our religious beliefs. We ordered the Malai Kofta, but were served chicken instead. Beyond this major disrespect to our dietary restrictions, the service was unacceptable. We waited nearly an hour after our appetizers, and the food only arrived after we tracked down our waiter--just to realize the order was completely wrong. This level of carelessness is dangerous. If someone had a severe food allergy rather than a religious restriction, this negligence could have caused a life-threatening reaction. To top it all off, the food that was correct--like the momo soup--was completely bland and practically inedible. I would give zero stars if it were an option. read more

Really enjoyed Spice Room -- the food was solid overall and the chai was amazing, definitely one of the standout parts of the meal. A bunch of us ordered the thalis, and they came with so much food on one plate. The paneer veggie included in the thali and the chaat were both delicious and super flavorful. I honestly can't remember the names of what I ordered but it was so gooooood. One of the dishes was the eggplant based one and I actually really loved that one although the flavors are milder. The chicken dish was delicious and was tender. I think it was described as a dry curry. The mushroom dish which was a curry was amazing as well. Very nice restaurant. Pleasant staff. Food was excellent in my book. It was fresh, flavorful , portions were generous. We arrived pretty late , about 45 min before closing. One thing that bothered me is that despite several customers still eating or even waiting for food , staff was cleaning up restaurant and vacuuming . Food was good, service was slow. Few friends were recommended this spot saying it's a great Indian place to try. I won't lie, the food was good. I really enjoyed the masala Indian bloom - it's a less tangled onion bhaji. I also got the lamb tikka masala and it was really good and perfectly tender. Now why not give 5 stars? First reason is the service. It was extra slow tonight. Took us about two hours for our whole turn. I also heard the table next to us complain about the wait. They asked for an update on their food status a few times and also had to ask for the check with how slow it was going. Second reason i am docking this place is their menu is a little misleading. A lot of stuff is labeled GF but it's really not as most of it shares a fryer with gluten stuff. Just be cautious of that if you are gluten free. Maybe it was an off night in the kitchen because it took longer than expected. The food was good enough to try this place again in the future, however. For now, have to give 3/5. read more

Very flavorful! Our server Angela was amazing as she was very attentive and gave her recommendations as there are so many amazing options on the menu. The tandoori chicken was tender and spiced perfectly. The palak paneer went really well with a side of Roti. Restaurant is clean and also pretty big. We were in town on vacation when I was able to locate a friend who lives in the Denver area and invite him to dinner. We asked him to find a restaurant for us. He suggested Indian food at Spice Room. The reviews complained about parking. Indeed, we found no spots in the parking lot (which only parks about ten cars), but we got lucky and found a spot perilously close to a fire hydrant. THEN, as we were getting out of the car, my wife spotted a car leaving the parking lot! We started up the car and moved into the vacated spot. The food is great. I'm a big fan of tandoori chicken, so I ordered that. It was tasty and too much for me to finish. My friend ordered the same and didn't finish his, either. (I don't recall what my wife ordered.) If I had to complain about something, it would be the 1-5 spice scale. I ordered my food at a 2 and barely tasted the heat. (In contrast, I ordered food at another Indian restaurant earlier in the week and a 3 was too hot to handle.) It's a big restaurant, not at all in proportion to the available parking. This time I went an hour before closing so it was much more packed but we were seated right away and food was pretty quick to come. We had blooming onions, vegetable samosas and curry chicken. Denver is not known for its Indian food, and yet there are several places I would return to over this. Restaurant itself seems nice and clean, it's off Colfax with minimal associated parking, may have to park some blocks away as the streets can get pretty full Staff were pleasant, however it's the food that was so lacking. Got a spinach paneer and lamb curry to go, both were really lacking in flavor. Their mango lassi was very watered down and served with ice, not great bang for buck. Perhaps it was an off day or they do better with other dishes but I'm not sure I would return here. read more
