These folks are still getting the service kinks out, but the atmosphere and food was delicious! Not as spicy as I would've hoped for (after ordering Indian spicy!), but it's clear to me that the cooks know how to cater to a general audience. Would return.

They've only been open for two months. Oh I am such a fortunate human being that I got to enjoy the most delicious saag paneer! I also wanted to get a colleague a slice of birthday cake because that people forgot to celebrate and they have a bakery and they had double chocolate cake, and a candle. Is that first rate service or what???

So delicious! We stumbled upon this place after a flight layover. The samosas, lamb chop, tikka masala were delicious!

Stumbled upon this place. WOW what a find. Really felicity food and excellent service. We are vegetarian and they have a nice selection. I had really spectacular vegetable kofta. Don't miss this place.

This place rocks. Ordered the chef's special lamb chops and they were excellent. Very nice atmosphere, too; definitely going again!

Best Indian restaurant in Denver metro, hands down! I can't believe I haven't written a review…read moreyet!! The Spice Room in the Highlands is the best one too, the others are great but this one is the best. A fantastic meal with good service at a great price- hard to come by in Denver! A few dedicated parking spots in front or otherwise on the surrounding streets.. whatever it is, don't let it deter you from coming bc they won't let you down. There's ~15 tables & everything is so fresh! You're served complimentary sauces with a thin roti-like cracker, and the sauces are all so good- my favorite is the cilantro one or the tamarind sweet one.. and they all go great on your dishes. The best appetizers are the samsosa chhole chaat- it's like a deconstructed samosa with crunchy bits & sauces on top, soooo good you won't want a regular samosa again! My other favorites are Chicken 65 & the veggie pakora (fried veg nests). Those 3 alone are enough for 2 people, but if you're super hungry, the entrees won't let you down either! Chicken makhani, biryani, tandoori chicken &/or the curries are where you'll never go wrong. All in all, I suggest you prioritize this Spice Room if you're even slightly an Indian food fan! Their variety of northern & southern Indian foods along with street food dishes are phenomenal.

Mantra Cafe refers to having "Nepali Indian Fusion Food" and their menu reflects Himalayan items and classic Indian fare. It was a Tuesday evening and there were a handful of customers dining already - mostly couples I noticed. For our party of three, this is what we ordered: * Pani-Puri $8 * Garlic Cilantro Naan $5 * Rogani Lamb $22 * Village Curry Goat $22 * Basmati Rice (complimentary) Everything was very enjoyable with great flavors and we finished it all. I really appreciated that the basmati rice was complimentary. I was definitely curious about their various Mo-Mo items but we were very full with what we got. 4.5 stars

We patiently waited while other tables that came after us ordered. Others had gotten their food already. We followed up, but they essentially blew us off. We waited over an hour for the food to come out. The food overall was good, but instead of getting the saag dish with lamb, we were given the saag paneer. I asked to pay, and they said got that fixed on the bill. They said they included a 5% discount for the wait, but they didn't say that a 20% tip would already be added. Despite having such POOR service, we still tipped $20.00, not knowing tip had already been included. I went to let them know that they could've have said something about the tip being added. They said it wasn't their intention. And I could've reviewed the receipt but they just put the machine to me and asked me to tap without giving the option to review the bill. Thing is, this is a state govt funded work function, and by state policy, we are not allowed to tip over 20% on meals. Either way, food was good, but service was POOR POOR POOR. Again I understand the circumstances, but you could communicate better and not be so dismissive.

At level 2 (spiciness), I could have utilized a tad bit more of the heat even though I pretty much never describe myself as a spicy food fanatic. But what do people say? 80% satisfaction is the best way when consuming food (they say so especially in the amount or quantity) so the heat part should get equally be considered, right? Yeah, that sounds about right! Had I gotten me the level 3 the heat might have overtaken the whole enjoyable experience. Saag paneer is always the safest option at any Indian restaurant (at least for me) and this Unique Indian proved so as well. The accompanying yellow rice and the additional garlic naan entertained me to the point where I was simply satisfied. Whereas it wasn't exceptional everything was simply good. What I would like to do next is actually visit the store and see for myself as to the service and the interior of the restaurant because these two elements appear to check out as well (based on other people's experiences.) All in all, it was a good first experience with this restaurant. Since this place is fairly close from my house my next occasion will probably be an in-person visit either dine in or take out. Looking forward to that for sure.

This, in American - Indian restaurants is akin to ordering chicken fried steak at Cracker Barrel. Every Indian restaurant should be able to make this. Frustratingly, the naan was dry, chalky, doughey and tasted old. It wasn't fresh and hot, leading me to believe that either it is store bought or was cooked much earlier? I had to ask for butter just to moisten it some. Rice was substandard. The chicken? Well, rubbery in consistency. It required ample effort with a fork, almost making me want to ask for a knife. The sauce wasn't bad, but lacked in flavor complexity. For me, and I am truly unbiased, I'd recommend spice room on colfax over this place. Other issues dampening my experience: no free snacks to savor (crackers with the chutney) while waiting for the order. This has become customary in American - Indian places. Hot chai tea, while $3, not unreasonable, comes with no refills. I won't be back here. But the quest for new Indian venues lingers here in Denver. I blame the Denver food critics as one called a female foodie ranked this as Denver's finest Indian restaurant. It's actually Nepalese and really needs some help.
