This small counter-service restaurant is a franchise location among the 4 in the Denver area. They have a full menu of Indian dishes + desserts. You can either order at the counter or take the menu like I did to a booth. I got the classic Mango Lassi to start. Sweet & smooth. I ordered the Lamb Vindaloo and specified heal level 4 out of 5. It was appropriately spiced. They added a small bowl, about 1 cup of basmati rice. Portion size was just right for one person. I added the CuTo salad (diced cucumber, tomato and onion) in a light dressing + Onion Kulcha or Naan. The Lamb was fork tender with cooked chunks of potato in a spicy red sauce. The Naan was loaded with onions with crispy edges and soft inside. They have a VIP program. Quick service.

Amazing Food!! I've found my new bestie. The food, atmosphere, and service are all A+! They brought out a free chai tea right away. Delicious. I got Tandoori Chicken, which was sooooo good!! I'm surprised by the amount of space inside. The plaza is deceiving from the outside. Perfect for a sit-down meal.

Been wanting to try this place for a while since it has the word express in it's name. I'm always looking for fast casual restaurants to eat at before work and I can definitely see myself frequenting this eatery a lot. The interior is a nice bright green. The space is not large by any means, but just enough incase it gets busy. One thing I would suggest for the business is to invest in some sun shades. The sun was bursting in the restaurant and it was incredibly hot and bouncing light off the tables and into our faces. Zaika Indian Express has lots of options to choose from and the service is quick and met with a smile. Once I ordered, the food was out no later than five minutes. They may be considered more expensive, but the portions are large enough that I got two meals for the price of one. Chicken Saag is usually my go to and I was not disappointed. It was creamy and the chicken was tender and pulled apart easily. I went with a 1 for spicyness out of 5 and for me it was pretty spicy. Made me question if that was really a 1 or if they messed up. Either way it was still really good. Plus, I got two large pieces of naan which must have been included in the $17 meal. What a steal! I would gladly give Zaika Indian my money any day. This place is awesome!

As a native Texan I don't feel I'm qualified to critique the "authenticity" of the dishes. However as lover of all things food I can honestly say the the food was delicious in every which way possible. I had the Rogan Josh and opted to go with the Lamb. "But Steve what about the service," you ask... superb! Not only was everyone friendly, our server was also attentive and helpful with his suggestions. The ambiance was just what I would've have expected, with Indian music playing over the radio loud enough to catch the vibes but not so loud I had to yell across the table... All in all my experience was was everything I thought my first time eating Indian cuisine would be, I would totally recommend you check it out!

After a characteristically long debate about whether I would be responsible for feeding myself dinner, I decided to order some Indian delivery. I went to pull up one of my usual places and realized I hadn't ever had Zaika Indian Express before, and that they would deliver to my address. Given the positive reviews, I took the leap of faith and decided to try something new. I was definitely not disappointed. The delivery arrived in 45 minutes, and the food was still nice and hot. I ordered Lamb Vindaloo, Paneer Makhni, Kale Aur Baingan (like Baingan Bharta but instead of just eggplant, Kale too), and garlic naan. The Vindaloo was tangy and spicy, the makhni nice and creamy. Entrees were very plentiful with meat/paneer. I thought the kale addition to the eggplant was a nice touch to round things out, and it was less oily (but also less silky) than some Baingan I've had before. The garlic naan was some of the best I've had. The leftovers made for several meals (though I was quick to add some additional veg so I didn't feel too guilty--highly recommend trying). The ordering process was excellent! You could specify the heat-level for each dish individually, no matter the type (hot is actually hot). Also, they use ChowNow as an interface, so all of the proceeds went directly to the restaurant. This is a huge plus, as I'm finding myself more and more compelled not to order delivery because of huge delivery site % takes from restaurants. Definitely adding this to the rotation. Great job Zaika!

New state, new Indian food to try! Unfortunately I picked a bad place to eat. We started off with a mango lassi that was the highlight of this meal. After that it all went downhill from there... the vegetable samosa was a bit dry and heavily dusted with spices. We also ordered chana masala and lamb korma with butter naan. The dishes were both watery and nothing great about the flavors . The naan was horrible, it was dry, salt less and overall just awful! Very disappointed in this place based on all the other good reviews.

I don't know if they just had an off night that night, but pretty much all of my food was a major disappointment. We ordered two dishes and naan. I past this Indian restaurant frequently in my ongoing long distance walks (I average 15K to 20K…read moresteps) in central Denver. This time I stopped for lunch. I was the only dine-in customer. This location is very colorful and has a full bar. They have cocktails, beer and wine. Typical big menu for Indian restaurants. I started with my favorite yogurt drink, a Mango Lassi. Large glass for $4.79; I was served by Ashok. He was attentive. I got the Mushroom Manchurian appetizer. I requested Indian hot spice levels and it was. Next was the Chicken Shahenshah, a dish with tender chicken cooked in a sauce of coconut and fennel. I asked for this entree to be served Indian hot. Very good. It was served with a large bowl of yellow basmati rice. I ate 1/2 and the rest home. They offer another favorite dessert, Gujar Halwa. This is a sweetened finely chopped hot carrot pudding. Yummy. I saw a steady stream of delivery persons coming in to pickup orders. Just before I left to walk home, I saw 3 parties come in to eat.

The…read moremost impressive part was that every single dish had a distinct, bold flavor profile--nothing felt like it was coming from the same generic base sauce. * Chicken Momo: These were the star of the show. * Chilli Chicken: A fantastic take on Indo-Chinese fusion. The chicken was crispy on the outside and tender inside, tossed in a savory, spicy sauce with plenty of fresh peppers and onions. It had a great "zing" without being overwhelmingly salty. * Saag Paneer: This was comfort food at its best. The spinach was creamy and vibrant, flavored just perfect. After a quick search for Indian restaurants in Denver, we came across Sukoon--and we are so glad we did. When we arrived, the restaurant was quiet with only a few tables occupied, which made us a bit uncertain at first. However, we were warmly greeted and seated by a gentleman who, I believe, was the owner. His hospitality set a welcoming tone for the evening. We decided to try a variety of appetizers, including samosas, papadi chaat, stuffed mushrooms, gobi Manchurian, and dal soup, as well as shrimp tandoori for our entrée. Every dish was exceptionally well-prepared--beautifully seasoned, flavorful, and thoughtfully presented. Each bite was truly delightful. As we enjoyed our meal, we couldn't help but wonder why the restaurant wasn't busier. Sukoon is one of those rare finds you want to see thrive: outstanding food, attentive service, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. When we finished, the owner stopped by to ask if it was our first visit. We told him it was--but certainly not our last. Sukoon is an excellent addition to Denver's dining scene, and I hope more people discover this gem. Highly recommended.

I ordered the saag and chicken curry, and both were delicious and well seasoned. Lani was incredibly kind and accommodating -- she helped me try a smaller portion of the saag so I could taste it, and explained that it's usually served as a full entrée. I really appreciated her flexibility, and it made me think how helpful it would be if smaller tasting portions were available more often for guests who want to explore the menu without committing to a full meal every time. I also think it would be wonderful if certain vegetable or protein dishes were offered as sides. That would give people more flexibility to try new items without needing to order a full entrée each time, especially since trying multiple dishes can add up quickly. I also tried the roti, which was a bit too dry for my personal taste. I tend to prefer softer textures with a little oil, which is why the naan ended up being perfect for me. Looking back, I wish I had ordered two naans instead of one roti and one naan -- lesson learned for next time. One additional suggestion: it would be great to have the option to substitute rice for naan, even for a small upcharge. I understand why rice is the default, but having that choice would be a nice option for people who prefer bread. I'd also love to see the protein or vegetable portion slightly larger compared to the rice, since that's really the highlight of the dish. Lani also mentioned the buffet, which sounds like a great option for sampling different dishes without committing to one entrée, and I'm genuinely looking forward to coming back for that. Overall, great food, excellent service, and a place I'll happily return to. A great spot for anyone who loves bold, well-balanced Indian flavors.
