Lamb Madrass
Lance H.

The Madras lamb curry was very good and I get to have it again for dinner because the lunch portion was more than double what I could eat. The service in the restaurant was very quick, which may be due to more take-out business than patrons in the restaurant at lunch time. The ambiance was nice. I sat at the bar and listened to the Saiyaara music the are streaming inside the restaurant. Overall, a vey enjoyable lunch experience.

Chicken Masala

A must try Indian restaurant!! Their food is full of flavor and their spicy levels deliver. Have you ever tried jalapeño cheese naan?? I highly recommend. You can tell it is freshly made in house (or close by) by the quality of the chopped jalapeños inside of the naan. Of course, I ordered the basic Chicken Tikka Masala which tasted phenomenal. I could order this every time and be happy and satisfied. The chicken Korma is also delicious! Their coconut tomato soup is perfect for a cold day. Honestly a great pairing with this could be a grilled cheese sandwich or cheese naan for sure. Another plate I got to try was the mushroom manchurian. To be completely honest, I don't like eating mushrooms but these were FIREEE and I would order/eat them again. With the 3 main dishes and the side of soup, the 3 of us were stuffed and walked out with leftovers. The portion sizes here are decently sized and the prices here are very reasonable.

Garlic Naan

Finally made it here! Of course the garlic naan is incredible. Of course the butter chicken is outrageously good (like, licking my plate good). I also really enjoyed the tandoori wings (best priced wings in town I bet) and the Bombay potatoes! The Bombay potato dish is large enough to share with at least 3 other people if not more. We sat at the bar. Our server was attentive and friendly. And the food was very quick to the table. I can't wait to come back and try more dishes! But, butter chicken will have to be included every time, because IT IS DREAMY!

Vegetable Momo and garlic NAAN

... hands down, the best food I have EVER HAD! Sauces creamy and flavorful. MOMOs! YUM and so beautiful. I had them steamed- veg. Tika masala- chicken. Spice is mild. Garlic naan. Please give this place a try!

The leftovers we are definitely taking home.

After a quick search for Indian restaurants in Denver, we came across Sukoon--and we are so glad we did. When we arrived, the restaurant was quiet with only a few tables occupied, which made us a bit uncertain at first. However, we were warmly greeted and seated by a gentleman who, I believe, was the owner. His hospitality set a welcoming tone for the evening. We decided to try a variety of appetizers, including samosas, papadi chaat, stuffed mushrooms, gobi Manchurian, and dal soup, as well as shrimp tandoori for our entrée. Every dish was exceptionally well-prepared--beautifully seasoned, flavorful, and thoughtfully presented. Each bite was truly delightful. As we enjoyed our meal, we couldn't help but wonder why the restaurant wasn't busier. Sukoon is one of those rare finds you want to see thrive: outstanding food, attentive service, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. When we finished, the owner stopped by to ask if it was our first visit. We told him it was--but certainly not our last. Sukoon is an excellent addition to Denver's dining scene, and I hope more people discover this gem. Highly recommended.

I don't know if they just had an off night that night, but pretty much all of my food was a major disappointment. We ordered two dishes and naan. Both dishes just weren't very flavorful, and I was majorly bummed with the quality of the food. I have been thinking about trying it again, but given how much it costs to eat here and my experience last time I skip it every time.

I past this Indian restaurant frequently in my ongoing long distance walks (I average 15K to 20K…read moresteps) in central Denver. This time I stopped for lunch. I was the only dine-in customer. This location is very colorful and has a full bar. They have cocktails, beer and wine. Typical big menu for Indian restaurants. I started with my favorite yogurt drink, a Mango Lassi. Large glass for $4.79; I was served by Ashok. He was attentive. I got the Mushroom Manchurian appetizer. I requested Indian hot spice levels and it was. Next was the Chicken Shahenshah, a dish with tender chicken cooked in a sauce of coconut and fennel. I asked for this entree to be served Indian hot. Very good. It was served with a large bowl of yellow basmati rice. I ate 1/2 and the rest home. They offer another favorite dessert, Gujar Halwa. This is a sweetened finely chopped hot carrot pudding. Yummy. I saw a steady stream of delivery persons coming in to pickup orders. Just before I left to walk home, I saw 3 parties come in to eat.

They have very soothing spa music playing (a little odd, but also charming). You can see that the owners probably did their own repairs and upgrades. We ordered cocktails and saw that they used top shelf alcohol. The food was very flavorful. Not the Indian flavors that I'm used to, but delicious. The tandoori chicken pieces were massive and they did not skimp on the sides of rice like other Indian restaurants. The garlic naan was paper thin like a roti and infused with so much garlic! Our server was very sweet and attentive. She carefully made both our cocktails and when we complimented her, she was humbled and honored. If you're in the Denver area, please drop by this restaurant.

The…read moremost impressive part was that every single dish had a distinct, bold flavor profile--nothing felt like it was coming from the same generic base sauce. * Chicken Momo: These were the star of the show. * Chilli Chicken: A fantastic take on Indo-Chinese fusion. The chicken was crispy on the outside and tender inside, tossed in a savory, spicy sauce with plenty of fresh peppers and onions. It had a great "zing" without being overwhelmingly salty. * Saag Paneer: This was comfort food at its best. The spinach was creamy and vibrant, flavored just perfect. The Verdict: If you're looking for a place that respects the unique spices of both regions, this is it. The kitchen clearly takes pride in the details. We'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu. The place was clean with warm, dim lighting that makes it feel intimate enough for a date but relaxed enough for a casual weeknight dinner. I will be back again to try more.
