I should visit on the week d as they serve waffles then that looked interesting. Ordering was fairly simple and pay stations easy. Service was fairly fast and our little group enjoyed our visit. Food for the young and older. One of the owners asked if our "sweet potato" filling was cooked enough and offered to redo it? I go on the whole 30 diet at least twice a year not only to reset but to ensure I'm not an alcoholic..lol I was excited to try out Just be kitchen because they advertise them selves as a while 30 restaurant. When we eneterd the restaurant the gentleman at the register was really helpful and pointed out that the whole 30 version of the menu item can greatly differ from the description often removing items. For example, if you are looking forward to the chicken and dumplings, beware if you select the whole 30 option NO DUMPLINGS. My salad had lots of ingredients, however, the whole 30 version only had beets and almond flour feta (which was delicious, ps) but a lack luster salad. I'm not sure why they wouldn't replace the pickled onions in the salad with fresh onions so it didn't look as sad. The green chili wasn't spicy (which is probably good for some) and was cumin forward. Not bad. Matt enjoyed it, although it had the vegan cheese wiz, which I am pretty sure shouldn't have been on the whole 30 option- we picked it out. The Buffalo cauliflower was an excellent portion and was good! The vegan ranch was watery and not what we expected, but also not bad. Spicy options for those of you like me are chaloula and I saw them with Frank's red hot, but you will have to ask the kitchen for it. It was cozy inside and as I mentioned the service was good. I love the ethos of Just BE Kitchen. I truly appreciate their gluten free, allergy friendly menu and home made cooking. I like their cosy, rustic dining room. We've been here a fair few times over the years and I truly like to support them, but I honestly don't think this place is good value for money. My husband had a Fulfilled burrito although for $15 minus the sausage with nothing but an egg in it, he was left feeling far from fulfilled. As others have pointed out, the menu on the wall is different to the prices listed on the kiosk. I also wish they'd have more vegetarian and vegan options, but as substitutions, not up-charges. The Chicken & Dumplings are false advertising in my opinion. The "dumplings" are just not good croutons. The chicken was dry as well, which is hard to pull off in soup. If you enjoy acid reflux it may be the dish for you, but if not... skip it. French toast sliders were small and ok... Caesar Salad was ok as well. This place is beautiful and despite being a no restrictions eater I found the food and coffee to be quite good. My wife is much more plants based in her selections and Just BE delighted her. As my friend says "ain't no fun if the vegans can't have none" Decorated in blue and white, this place feels like a cloud feast for both your eyeballs and your belly, and a testimste of how much you can do with a little natural light. Guy Fieri was right...the dumplings are so savory! The staff is patient with indecisive guests (ie me), checks in on you, and thanks you for your patronage. You finish your meal without feeling heavy, or overindulgent, and can walk to a handful of hotspots in the surrounding area. As a gluten intolerant vegetarian I was excited to try Just BE, and dearly appreciate their dedication to providing a full gluten free restaurant. Their dish naming convention can be a little difficult so I recommend just using their kiosk/ iPad to order on the right! They have a large selection of coffee drinks to complement the meal and they come in huge mugs! I do wish they had more vegan/ vegetarian protein options or substitutes. Allergy friendly spaces such as these normally attract a lot of vegans and vegetarians who also have allergies- such as myself. I had the breakfast burrito and the tortilla was delicious and huge. However, the filling and the green chili left a little to be desired. I deeply wanted to love this experience but the sweet potato hash inside was undercooked- I would've loved to see a crisp on the hash browns instead of being crunchy still. I also found the green chili to be more like a hot salsa verde that was very acidic. I wish the execution in this dish was a little more thoughtful for the cost, but I do believe they have the potential to really excel. My husband and I are visiting Denver from Dallas for a wedding, and a quick google search of diet restriction-friendly restaurants had us salivating over the menu here! I have numerous dietary restrictions, most notably gluten, eggs, multiple seed oils, refined sugar, and cilantro. When we walked in, I loved the open seating & cutesy homey concept, and was overwhelmed by how many CHOICES I had on the menu! I was immediately drawn to the chili verde, but after asking the woman working the front if it contained cilantro or was only topped with it, she confirmed it was both in the dish and on top, so I opted against it. My husband and I ultimately went for the breakfast sliders, chicken and dumplings, cauliflower wings, salted caramel latte, and adaptogenic mocha. Here's what we would rate them individually: Cauliflower wings - 3/5 The flavor was mostly there, except in the ranch which was super liquidy and didn't add much to the dish. Points for it being dairy free, and the flavor of the cauliflower itself was great. I was hoping for something tempura-like though (traditional tempura is made with rice flour and hence very allergen friendly if not fried in seed oils) and it missed that mark as they weren't fried and the batter-esque coating wasn't crispy at all, more gooey than anything. Breakfast sliders - 4/5 For those of us who are used to subpar allergen friendly food, especially when it comes to gluten free, these were fantastic. The sausage wasn't greasy and had good flavor, I couldn't believe the little buns were gluten free because they were that good, and the maple syrup was the real deal. The eggs were plasticky and overcooked though, we ended up taking them off the sandwiches after a few bites. Chicken and dumplings - 2.5/5 I wanted to love this one. But the dumplings were these gray, hard chunks that were almost inedible, and when expecting a creamy pot-pie-esque dish, it was more like a basic chicken and carrot soup that wasn't creamy at all. I also think that the herbs it was topped with included cilantro (tasted like it to both myself and my husband) which is partially on me for not asking about, but also I'm disappointed about the fact that the woman working the front counter didn't warn me about it after I asked about the cilantro in the chili verde. Overall, a decent soup on its own minus the dumplings, but wasn't at all what I expected to receive when ordering chicken and dumplings. Salted caramel latte - 5/5 Not too sweet, and overall a great latte. Husband who loves his sugary coffee loved it even thought it wasn't as sweet as his usual coffee order. No complaints! Adaptogenic mushroom mocha - 6/5 As a MUD/WTR drinker, when I saw this on the menu I immediately knew I would order it. It did not disappoint! Drinks like this are often grainy or sandy from the powdered adaptogenic mushrooms, and it wasn't like that at all. The cocoa & earthy flavors were very mild and the drink was very lightly sweetened, but as someone who doesn't love sweet beverages, it was PERFECT Overall, would probably come back again, but to try different things, except the drinks which we loved. Today, the three of us, had what we all collectively found to be the "worst lunch ever." In fact, it's now dinner time and we are still talking about how horrible our lunch was for fear of making another bad culinary decision for dinner. Where do I start...First, let's talk cost. My friend and I both ordered the grilled cheese with tomato soup. We were told the order comes on a tortilla but if we wanted traditional grilled cheese we can order it on toast..Hmmm okay, isn't that a quesadilla??? but okay let's roll with it. My friend ordered her "grilled cheese" with regular cheese and I ordered mine with their vegan cheese Wiz spread. I ordered the veggie wrap for my honey, he and I both got a smoothie and my friend ordered a lemonade. We got an order of buffalo cauliflower for the table and a sloppy Joe for my son and that came to $150 freaking dollars. Look, I'm a foodie, I do not mind paying for good food, but this was far from that. Plus, I tipped, which I obviously didn't have to but the lady who answered our questions was really nice. On principle, I usually tip regardless if I have to order at a kiosk, come to the counter to pick up my own food, and bus my own table. But, I'm annoyed about it now because the food was TERRIBLE and over priced. So that takes me to my second point, the quality of food we got for $150. I'll start with the positive, the smoothies were delish and my friend said her lemonade was decent but nontraditional in that it was like a spritzer. Also, the veggie wrap was okay, the most edible item any of us ordered. The "grilled cheese" is NOT a grilled cheese sandwich, it's a quesadilla. I cannot say anything about how that tastes because we modified ours because we wanted grilled cheese. What we got instead was a dry, hard, bland piece of toast with a thin cheese wiz spread, and I mean so thin it didn't even cover the tiny piece of toast and I could see the toast through the cheese spread. My friend said her real cheese was odd tasting, and was on the same cardboard toast. Sure, you're probably thinking, well you modified it, but they had the toast option as a sugggested modification on the kiosk. And also, is it really a modification to make something what it is supposed to be anyway?? AND it wasn't even a sandwich, it was one piece of toast...open face. Moving on...it came with a pretty sizeable bowl of "tomato soup", which tasted like marinara out of a can or box with a pesto drizzle on top to doctor it up. This was gross and for $22, they should seriously be ashamed! The buffalo cauliflower was very undercooked and was really just warmed cauliflower dipped in what I'm pretty sure was Frank's red hot sauce or something very similar. Not good. That brings me to my son's sloppy Joe. My son is 14 months but he is also a foodie, I assure you. He had a few bites which means it was edible because he's not one to take more than one bite of something he hates. However, he loves sloppy Joe's and can eat an entire one. The meat was huge and chunky and not at all broken down in a way that makes a sloppy Joe sloppy. Lastly, the one high chair they had was disgusting and my honey who is no where near as concerned with cleanliness as me described it as looking as if it had never before been cleaned. He used 3 clorox to go wipes to clean the high chair just so my son could have a seat to eat. And all of this for $150. I know this review probably sounds pretty scathing but it really was a astonishing they charge these prices for this poor quality of food. I can only assume their clientele is mostly vegan or vegetarian and thats how they get good reviews or maybe we just ordered the only bad items on the menu BUT, although I'm no longer vegan, I still eat vegan food occasionally and vegan food can and should be good so that in and of itself is no excuse. Maybe the clientele likes bland, weird tasting or just bad and overpriced food. Renaming this restaurant as JustBeClosed! read more

I checked this place out on a recent trip to Denver and was so obsessed that I went back multiple times. Loved how thoughtful and conscious everything on the menu is - the ingredients, freshness and menu transparency were as good as it gets. Everything I tried was amazing - particularly loved the chicken soap and avocado toast. I am gf/df and felt so comfortable eating here and was blown away by the flavors and the lovely, cozy vibes. Cool little breakfast/ brunch place in the heart of Denver. My son is following a keto diet and so we were looking for a great local place with delicious options. When we walked in, both of us were very impressed by the cool, clean and attractive interior. Uplifting quotes, framed on the wall were thoughtful and calming. We were met as we walked up to the counter with a cheerful, friendly server. There is a computer screen to input your order. But she sensed we were new and told us she'd help. She asked about any dietary restrictions and made some great suggestions. We both ordered the Crave burger. My son had his with bacon and cheese. I had mine just with cheese, but also a cup of pork green chili on the side. I wasn't thrilled with the seed bun, but my son loved it. Could have been better. When I saw that the Kombucha was $7 for a small can I should have run. It took over 20 minutes to get my to go order and when they gave me my order my drink was missing, only to find out that they had just sold the last one at the counter. It was confusing that there were computers to self order but other people went to the counter. I feel like they should have given me my drink earlier so it didn't sell out by the time my food was ready. My eggroll innards however was so good. This has become one of my favorite spots to eat in Denver! The first time I had Just BE was delivery to a friend's place. She's gluten-free and vegan. I remember having the FULFILLD Burrito with Pork Chili which SO good and filling. The Maple Cinnamon Bullet Coffee was excellent as well. First time having bullet coffee... would recommend! On future visits, either take-out or dine-in, I've had the CRAVE burger, SWEETNESS baked pancake, and WONDER seasonal veggie hash. All were tasty and healthy. I've introduced my partner (who is basically doing Whole30) to Just BE, and it's showed him that he can still eat delicious foods! Great spot with staff that's knowledgeable and patient with diet questions. My favorite thing to do for brunch with another person is to order one sweet and one savory item. The pancake is perfect for that. Overall, all the staff members are so welcoming and accommodating. There's a good amount of seating inside (not the best for groups) or just order to-go. (I would have liked the grainless granola on there too, but I saw a pack of it for sale at the counter and the ingredients list was all nuts and seeds; too much Fat in the one wrap!) As for the wrap, I was genuinely very surprised by how well all the ingredients went together. Mind blown to be honest! That slightly sweet dressing and beets with the crunch of the almond feta was amazing. A very generous amount of filling and chicken as well; Quite a loaded wrap! I also got some seasonal roasted veggies on the side just so I could eat some more vegetables as part of the meal. This was broccoli, carrots and mushroom. One of my friends got the Wonder Seasonal Hash (Spinach-Cauliflower-Harissa Puree, Seasonal Veggies, Mint Chutney, Egg and Kale Chips). That looked like a boat load in a bowl, but apparently tasted good. They forgot to add the egg, and gave it when we asked. The stars are for the food alone as the service was not ideal at all. My mom and I came in for lunch and both ordered the French toast sliders. Tiny but delicious, but not completely worth the $15. I also ordered the "Gatorade" and the brownie as well. The Gatorade was so beyond salty, I could hardly drink it. The brownie was excellent and prob the most enjoyable thing I ordered, which isn't saying much since it's premade. My mom ordered a chocolate chip cookie that had such a weird flavor, she couldn't eat it. She asked Katie (the woman working) if she could trade it for a brownie and Katie basically snatched it out of her hand while saying it was their most popular menu item as she shook her head.
