    Chicken schwarma plate and fries
    Maria B.

Yes!!!! The food hit the spot!!! The place is owned by an Afghan and Turkish family. They bring some wonderful arabic dishes for us to enjoy. I ordered the chicken shwarma plate which comes with ride, a side salad, pita, toom, hummus and a hot salsa. The rice and chicken are very flavorful and the salad crispy and fresh. My partner order the gyro sandwich abd a side of fries. The sandwich came with chopped lettuce, tomatoes, pickle slices and feta (requested). Samir offers fresh fruit juices, we got a blended strawberry lemonade which was very refreshing after a full morning outside. The service is friendly and quick. The restaurant was clean and bright. There is parking in the back and ample parking on the side streets. I'm happy that Samir is a quick drive from home - we love arabic food!

We enjoyed the zereshk polo and the koobideh. Tasted homemade and everything was nicely spiced. Will order from here again.

Situated in this run-down strip mall that is desperately needing some upgrades, the restaurant…read morequietly exists with so much humility. Despite its image, however, the reviews left by previous customers are solid. This convinced me to try them on one Saturday evening. Its inside is very simple with interior like an old Middle Eastern diner feel. They could utilize more decorations to indicate the kind of cuisine (Afghanistan) they represent/boast and yet, that may not be their focus. Most of all, what's important is the "heart", the food to say it precisely. A few tables were occupied by eat-in diners which I noticed upon entry. I wasted no time by proceeding to the front where they take orders. A young man there greeted me. I told him I was in for a to-go order. I thus adding said to him that I would need a minute to decide. As I took the time to study the menu I noticed that the prices of the dishes were quite reasonable. And yet it was hard to gauge the portions of them. I shall see when I get my food though. By the time I had been back to the register after solidifying as to what I would want, a different young man was upfront. He was also polite and welcoming but not to the over-the-top way. His "generic" type of gesture was good enough. I told him what I wanted 14. Lamb Tikka Kabob ($13.99 as of early April of 2026). He said it would be ready in about 10-15 minutes. It was quite right on time when my food came out of the kitchen. Once I had the chance, I started my dinner. Let me quickly summarize the food here: -Portion: Quite good. If mere $13.99 buys this size of food, I would go for it often. -Food quality: Whereas I wouldn't describe it as "excellent" or "exquisite", the plate was filled with good flavors. Everything from the meat to the rice to the salad to the hummus, the quality was solid. The naan bread, however, was quite small and thin (thought they could be a bit more generous.) Is this a typical Afghani style bread? Not sure. I am not versed in the Afghani cuisine (as I've already hinted a bit.) Whether or not I am speaking about the authenticity of the very culinary traditions/styles correctly, this might be as the closest Afghani eatery gem as you can find in this part of town. I don't know how long this restaurant has been around but my assumption is that it's not overexposed to the public eye just yet. Despite the fact that it's located on this busy intersection of Quebec and Evans/Iliff, King of Shawarma & Kabob is indeed a humble business. And yes, I will return to it when I think of reasonably priced solid Middle Eastern food next time.

We ordered a koobideh sandwich with fries, an Adana kebab plate with baba ghanoush, and a salad. My husband asked if we could have a traditional Turkish shepherd's (çoban) salad, but instead we received a few slices of tomato and cucumber served alongside a single skewer of beef. To make matters worse, the koobideh and Adana turned out to be the exact same kebab. When we asked, the server confirmed they were essentially the same item with different names. The baba ghanoush was served by itself with nothing to eat it with. When we requested bread, we were given a microwaved pita and charged an additional $3. Our total bill was $39, which might sound reasonable, but the value simply wasn't there. The server repeatedly mentioned how understaffed they were, there was no traditional Turkish salad on the menu, and dips were served without bread unless you paid extra. Overall, the experience fell far short of expectations. There are much better places in Denver to spend your money.

Blue Pan Pizza is definitely worth checking out, especially if you're a fan of Detroit-style pizza…read more My company actually preordered my pizza online a few days in advance for pickup, but when I arrived, they didn't have my order ready. They looked at my receipt multiple times, which made it feel like they didn't quite believe me, and I ended up waiting an additional 15 minutes while they sorted it out. I was also told that next time my company should call instead of ordering online, which was confusing since they offer an online preorder option in the first place. That said, the pizza itself was really good. The crust was thick, salty, and a bit oily in that satisfying way, and the ingredients tasted fresh. One thing to note is the portion size, don't underestimate it. Even a small Detroit-style pizza is dense and can easily feed 2-4 people. Overall, I'm giving it 4 stars because the food was great, but the online ordering experience could definitely use some improvement.
