If they sold the chicken by the cup I'd buy it and just snack on it! Pro tip for the chicken sandwich: add lettuce and feta, then get a side of the salad dressing and drizzle it over the top. TLDR; Just get a gyro to go. Spanakopita not great. E Colfax gets a little seedy so it's not the most pleasant restaurant to walk to but the restaurant itself is clean. Order at the counter and have a sit while they prepare your food. The cashier was friendly. Food was ready in about 7 minutes I got the Beef Gyro Combo and the Spanakopita. Beef Gyro was excellent. Very tasty and filling. The fries were lightly salted, which was perfect. The veggies were fresh and crunchy. Spanakopita was not good. I did not finish it. It was nice and flaky, but the taste was off and the aftertaste was gross. Wouldn't recommend. Total was $23.49 after tip. Would definitely come back for just a gyro. I was about to leave a three star for the employee not knowing what I'm talking about but after getting my gyro combo with no sauce at all on the side it's a 1. I asked the dude at the counter if I can get an extra of the garlic mayo or whatever the hell it is sauce they always gave out and he said "we've never had any garlic side sauce before." Well I've been coming here for six years and they sure did lol. It was the best part about the place. I said that's fine I'll get it the way it comes. Apparently now the way it comes is dry ass fries and a dry ass gyro and that's it. Damn another one bites the dust. read more

Really really enjoyed my meal here. Stopped by because I had a craving for a Gyros, and left feeling like I was a part of the family. The guy at the counter greeted me when I walked in (it's not a large space) and asked if it was my first time and indeed it was. He then walked me through the menu, which wasn't huge and shared that they make everything on the menu from scratch. I ordered the gyro combo (predictable, right) and he asked if I wanted extra tzatziki (which I did. I can drown my gyros in the sauce and still want more) and recommended the cucumber aqua Fresca, made from the cucumbers they don't use for the tzatziki sauce. I took his recommendation! The food was phenomenal! The aqua Fresca was delightful (I had 2-3 refills) and the gyro was packed with rich, tender strips of lamb meat, along with some extra tzatziki as requested. The pita was tender and fresh and I was stuffed by the end. Although I did manage to make some room for their fries. I'm not usually a big fry girl unless I can dunk them in a vat of ketchup and I ate these bad boys dry. They were hot, crisp with the perfect amount of salt. Perfection. The owner also threw in some fresh, house-made baklava which I haven't tasted yet but it looks divine. This is the perfect post concert spot to grab a bit when you're feeling hungry. It's located right in between the Fillmore and Ogden so it can get quite busy at night (but so are the other nearby restaurants). Seating is limited and isn't always cleaned after a customer sits there but it's good when you're hungry. The food was delicious. The fries with the spice is just tasty on its own without any condiments. The gyro sandwich was very filling and every bite was even and very flavorful. This was my first time visiting this establishment. If you like Gyros then I recommend giving this place a try. I ordered the number 1. A Gyro with lamb and fries. There is also an option for rice instead of fries. The gyro sandwich tasted great, tzatziki sauce is really good,the lamb was cooked perfect juicy and flavorful with just the right balance of vegetables in the sandwich. The Ambiance in the restaurant is inviting and for the most part quiet. The service was prompt and thorough.The gentleman at the register gave a quick rundown of the menu and called me by name when my food was ready. This location has been here for a long time. I decided to check it out. I could not believe, the number of years this gem has been in plain view. The prices are moderate and the food is delicious. I have been here several times now, the service and food is consistent. I am not a fan of eating in the car but with the distance I live from here (about 13 mile drive) it's hard not to sneak a fry. The aroma in my car , had me tempted to pull over and people watch. I was sure I could drive this delicious(ness) beside me. You basically pay for a french fry shawarma here I understand theyre keeping food costs down by basically substituting meat with potatoes. this is why I always ask for mine with no fries and double meat which comes at a premium. This place didn't disappoint. Friday night meant no cooking/delivery. While searching for Greek food, I stumbled upon Gyroz. The reviews were good and decided to give it a try. I've been in Greece and eaten gyros, that's the only reason why I didn't give it more than 4 stars. People who have only tried Greek food here, may have a different opinion but the food is good overall. The price was perfect too! Meat and fries were well seasoned and cooked and they cooked it pretty quickly. I would recommend it for a late night snack. If you're looking for a fast casual Greek restaurant in Denver this is the place to go. And there's a drive-thru! I've been to this location twice now and their customer service is the best. Both times I've been here, the drive-thru worker has been so upbeat and has a great positive attitude. Okay y'all this is legit the best drive-thru food ever. I usually get the chicken combo, which is a chicken gyro with fries and a drink. The gyro is jam packed with meat and then smaller amounts of tomato, onion and tzatziki. The chicken is incredibly flavorful and juicy. Not to mention, the pita bread is soft and warm. Lastly, the fries aren't like normal fast food places where there's a ton of salt or no flavor at all. Instead, they are a little crispy and have the best seasoning on them to really note that you're eating Greek food. The prices are cheap and fair for the amount of food you're given. A 3.5 star drive-thru fast food place you should definitely consider. About a week or 2 ago I paid $12 for an Indian naan wrap at Nomaste. It was good and the ingredients were fresh. But today for $5.95 I got a similarly sized lunch pita wrap at Gyroz and there's no question about which was the better value. It's Gyroz by at least a length. Was the Gyroz sandwich as good as Nomaste's? No. Was it about half the price? Yes. Should I have spent twice as much to get a little better meal? I don't know. Maybe some days I'll go for quality and screw the $6 more. Maybe some days I'll just need some energy and I'll be passing by the gyros place. Ya never know. Life's a surprise.
