We stopped in for a quick bite. The place was clean for a gyro joint. Our food took about five minutes from order to our mouths. I ordered the falafel. I probably wouldn't order that again. I've come a handful of times.. it's always ok and a I love the fries. . But there's also been a couple times where they close aggressively early. If you close at 2am, you should not be closed at 150 am. I'm done. read more

Gyroz located on Colfax (Another location in Aurora) has convenient parking lot and drive through. The standard Gyzo Sandwich is priced at $6 but sometimes when you order though 3rd party apps it will charge an extra dollar or two more. The Gyro we ordered here in April 2020 during the pandemic was fresh and meaty and drive through manager was friendly. Most gyro meat taste salty to my palate, I've had Gyros in Greece and this one definitely is better than average! read more

I am a big fan of Gyroz for the chicken pita sandwich. The bounty of chicken is typically well seasoned with lemon & herbs, with a layer of tzatziki, fresh onion and tomato. There are a few fries in the sandwich that don't really do anything to improve it. I've also tried the avgolemono soup. It is a safe option if you are a fan of a chicken broth based soup that is lemon leaning. When I ventured there over the weekend, the meat in the sandwich was incredibly salty. It must have been an off day as this hasn't been an issue in the past. Service has always been friendly. I have not been inside this establishment as I've always used the convenient drive thru. read more

This spot is right in the middle of the colfax craziness. For that reason I definitely did not expect much especially since it also has a drive through which typically makes you think fast food and food that makes u feel pregnant after. I am so happy that none of this applied to this place. I always get the Greek salad with falafel and everything in it is so fresh! Not a single weird looking piece of lettuce in the entire plate. The falafel is always warm and fresh and tasty and the pita as well. I've also had their fries and gyros which are both just excellent especially for a drive through quick dinner option. The service is fast and friendly. Truly a hidden gem.I'm now pretty much a regular here and I will continue to come back read more

I see police officers eating here all the time so it must be good! I finally had to give them a try and now I come here a few times a month. Something about the fries but its FIRE!! I'm fairly well-versed in Mediterranean chicken wraps. I started buying them late at night, from roadside trucks, in between venue-hopping. Since discovering those trailers, in popular entertainment districts, I've loved the combination of grilled chicken, pico, cucumbers, that white dressing (yogurt? I think it's call tzatziki), and red hot sauce, on some flatbread. As far as Gyroz goes, it's not my favorite, but quite good. Their flatbread is a bit thicker than most. So are the cuts on their chicken. They also put french fries in their gyros, which was a bit strange, but I liked it. The chicken didn't look like it was going to be good, but it was. I'm used to smaller pieces. I didn't encounter any gristle in the chicken. It was well-processed. Normally, those places use a spatula to chop the chicken into smaller and smaller pieces on the grill. Then you get the gristle in there. Not Gyroz! I appreciate their higher-quality meat than most Gyro places have. Greasy, spicy, over-portioned, not healthy? Acknowledged. Still good for a cheat day. read more

We make a point to stop here every time we come to this side of town. It's affordable and delicious and hits the spot anytime whether that be right before a concert or on a late night drive. The staff today were incredible on 8/3 when we came by around 7, the girl at the drive through was so sweet and the cook was even better, they both deserve the world. 10/10 recommend. read more

When I first happened upon this spot, I wasn't sure what to think. A drive through fast food gyro place on Colfax? Well, I'll try anything once. And I have tried this place way more than once, so I guess it's worth it. I love a good, flavorful gyro sandwich. Pile up a pita with that delightful lamb/beef mix, tomato, onion, and tzatziki sauce, and I'm a happy girl. This place does it right. I do miss the lettuce that most places put on a gyro; however, they replace the lettuce with french fries, so I think that's a fair veggie swap out. Right? Maybe that's what makes the sandwiches just slightly greasy, but I don't mind. Nom nom nom. It's maybe not the best gyro I've ever had, but portions are huge and cheap. That's why I keep coming back. Make sure to get an order of greasy (there's that word again, but fries must be greasy!) fries on the side, which are somehow soggy and crispy at the same time. Dip them in an extra side of tzatziki and call me in the morning! Doctor's orders! Skip the falafel. They're like hockey pucks. Overfried and overpriced. Gyroz gets the job done, which is making sure that my belly is full. It could use some tweaks, but I'll still stop over when I'm in the mood. read more

At the drivethru an older Black woman came up to our car window and asked for change. She was nice, was admiring the flowers on our rearview. We said we didn't have any change, she said have a good night and was about to walk away, when a Gyroz employee ran up on her, and tackled her into a chokehold. We got him to let go of her and she got away. The person at the drivethru, who I assume was the manager, had come out and was justifying this assault to us, while the person who had committed the assault was screaming at us. Dude who came out was then in me and my gf's faces, I think hoping to get us to make a first move, called my gf a b word before he started walking away. Seriously, why can people be like this? Also, never again, and no one I know is ever going there again. read more

Talk about an awesome experience! My wife and I were downtown and stumbled on a real gem. We love Mediterranean food... love gyros and we we hit the jackpot here. The food was amazing, service outstanding! Side note: The young man who took our order was unbelievably pleasant. Because of COVID we chose to eat in the car in a parking lot across from the restaurant. Being busy the young man inadvertently gave us someone else's drinks. He could have just let it go, and it was no big deal to us. He came running across the street bringing us the correct drinks and apologized over and over. I just had to say read more

For $6.25, the falafel sandwich is really good: 4 pieces falafel, crispy french fries, tzatziki cucumber sauce, onions, and tomatoes in a warm pita. It was a good balance of flavors and textures and the falafel was moist. Next time I'd order another sandwich or fries so I can have a bigger meal and some leftovers. It was super quick (~5 min) and the employees were friendly! If you're going to pick up, call them, don't place a Grubhub order (more expensive). Definitely going back, probably once a week! read more

Just tried this shop for the first time. The french fries stood out as being unusually good - not everyone will like them but we sure did. The gyros sandwhiches we got were about average in quality - the serving size was generous, but the sandwich was kinda haphazard, had fries in it (??), almost no onions, not enough tzatziki, and the meat wasn't seasoned as strongly as we're used to from other gyros shops. The gal handling the drive-thru was super friendly and pleasant, which is a nice change from a lot of fast-food places. If you can nudge the quality of the gyros upward a bit, you'll have a more loyal following. read more

Very solid gyro fast food joint. Not really sure how I feel about French fries wrapped into my gyro but didn't hate it. Great big heap of gyro meat is included but I must say they were a little light on the thatziki sauce and what was on the sandwich was a little bland. French fries were decent. Pretty darn good for a city that doesn't know how to do a gyro! Only let down was they forgot my sauce with the falafels so it's not the same. Nice portion size (nothing worse than getting skimped on this) I have been here twice in the last week, same guy working each time at the window really nice guy. I will be back! read more

Had to go across town to see the doc, so we stopped here for drive-through on the way back. The aroma on the way home nearly drove me crazy. (Had to go home, unwrap everything onto plates, and then scrub hands before eating anything.) Gyros and a side of falafels for each of us. Everything probably would have been a little better eaten piping hot, but zero complaints for take-home food. Ample portions, fast, and very, very good. Great service, too! read more

This was the best Gyro I have had in a loooooong time. I got the Chicken Sandwich, and so did my boyfriend. I am surprised that we even took a picture before devouring these. The tzatziki sauce is amazing, I could eat a whole bucket of it. And we also got a delicious baklava that was a perfect way to finish the meal! Also, the staff is amazing and friendly. Tried to use DoorDash and the app wouldn't work. We are in an unfortunate situation where our baby is in the hospital 5 min from this location and wanted a quick dinner before we saw him. Asked the worker at the drive through how to get the app to work and he replied by saying, "Get out of my drive through." Disappointed as he was incredibly rude and we just wanted to use our gift card. If they don't want to use DoorDash, don't advertise it at the window and be nicer to costumers as we would have paid if they weren't so rude. read more
