I was truly hoping that I would be able to give this place a solid 5-star rating but unfortunate I couldn't. I placed an order through DoorDash (Pickup) as I wanted to go and look at the restaurant. Placing the orders in that portal was easy. It gave me an estimated time for the food to be ready (about 20 minutes from 2:20pm when the order was placed.) Upon arrival at the promised time, the guy behind the kitchen window (or should I call it thr "ordering counter) immediately took notice of me so he greeted me to welcome me. Once I had given my name, he wasted no time to give me my food (Salad Maison and Combination Kebab as they had already been in a plastic bag.) "This is it. Thank you, Rika. See you next time." was said by the guys with a nice smile on his face. Even though brief, I appreciated this pleasant exchange of kind words. Service appreciated to be pretty solid here. I also noticed that the interior of the restaurant was quite quaint and cute. I couldn't help taking a few photos of the entire dining room. Now the food.... -Combination Kebab was overall quite dry especially the meats. They tasted like they had been sitting on some food warmer thing for quite sometime. The rice (bed spread underneath the meats) was also dry. -Salad Maison: Very unique salad. More than a handful of small-cut pita bread pieces were placed all over the salad where the some of the pita pieces got wet soggy so I removed them from it and placed them on the open lid to take a photo of the entire plate. If I were the restaurant worker there, I would put them in a small bag separated from the wet salad. Other than that, I found the salad unique with some distinct flavors or spices which I couldn't make of. However, I don't think I will order this again as it may not be my cup of tea. Maybe this dish is super authentic where only the real Middle Eastern or Moroccan people would understand it. Not sure to be frank. Well, I know other people rated Cafe Paprika very high which I don't disagree. There's got to be an appeal that resonated with them but for me, there are other similar restaurants that resonated with me more than this place. Hence my conclusion is, this place didn't make the list of my "favorite Mediterranean/Middle Eastern/Moroccan restaurants" unfortunately. I might give it and try in the future and that is not going to be anytime soon.

A close-up image of Moroccan vegetable stew featuring chickpeas, potatoes, and leafy greens, served over a bed of couscous on a decorative, colorful plate. The dish appears hearty and flavorful, with a thick, seasoned sauce covering the vegetables and grains.

This place has literally been here forever and has solid reviews. I believe it is only one of two Moroccan restaurants in the broader Denver MSAs. I've traveled to Morocco and I would say excellent Morrocan food is very hard to come by in the states. We ordered two tajines, a harrira (chickpea) soup and two mint teas (a hallmark of morrocan culture. The food was good, but it didn't blow us away. The service was friendly though and the ambiance felt like a blast from the past. Overall I recommend - it's pretty good.

Middle East Combination - The image shows a decorative, oval-shaped platter with two fried eggs sprinkled with spices, accompanied by fried kibbeh with mayonnaise on top, arranged around the eggs. The platter also contains chopped tomatoes, onions, and cucumbers as a garnish. The setting appears to be a restaurant with a colorful table surface and additional dishes partially visible nearby. The presentation reflects Middle Eastern cuisine, featuring traditional ingredients and garnishes.

Everything was absolutely delicious! The owner of the restaurant was so kind and welcoming, and chatted for a while with my husband, who had studied abroad in Morocco. The mint tea was delicious, and we received refills without even asking. There were pretty murals and ambient lighting around the restaurant. It's on the smaller side, but it doesn't feel cramped - just comfortable and welcoming! Each plate of food was cooked perfectly and had plenty of flavor and great serving sizes. Our two friends and my husband and I ate our fill and still had plenty of leftovers to take home. There wasn't one disappointing plate out of everything we ordered. I think our overall favorite was the kefta tajin! We will definitely be back again, and we can't wait to try more dishes at Cafe Paprika.

    Maison Salad sooooooo good!!

We have wanted to try Cafe Paprika for YEARS! Finally we were able to make it there and it was fabulous!! We loved everything we ordered - since they are only doing takeout we had to bring it back to our hotel and it was still delicious. Just devine! So much flavor and everything was made to perfection! We will come back and can only hope they can open their dining room soon!

This venue, as such, reminds me of "East West Grill - Arlington," near Clarendon, in Arlington, VA, just outside Washington, D.C., which my Pakistani-American BFF showed me, over 20+ years ago, around 2005, when we met, and where I took my Sierra Leone-American BFF in 2018, given she's also Halal. The customer service was exquisite, and Aqeel made our experience so hospitable! He told me they do not accept reservations, however to call ahead 15-minutes in advance, and later 5-minutes in advance. He ensured we had a table all set-up for our group of 6 women, and was so very attentive with us, ensuring we had everything we needed, while ordering. In my case, I ordered one of the fresh juices - Lemon with Mint - after seeing nearly every delivery order ordering it, and it was superbly delicious! Then I tried the Cucumber & Yogurt, of course, a favorite. I skipped the dolmas, as I was filling up fast! :-) And I ordered their signature dish: "26. Lamb Haneeth حنيذ لحم," which was superb! The lamb was so very tender, juicy, and a delicious taste, and I'm thrilled to have an ample amount remaining, for my lunch tomorrow! Highly recommend!

But that's not actually why I'm writing this review. I'm writing this review because of Marcus. That guy is fantastic! Honestly, I'll probably come back here for lunch next time I'm in Aurora just because of him. He's welcoming, funny, and clearly loves working with people. This is one of those places where you pick your ingredients from the counter behind the glass, and Marcus is not shy about making recommendations. I love that. The peeps working here know the food best, so I usually just go with whatever is recommended. Hot sauce? Sure! Actually their hot sauce is pretty hot and Marcus will try to warn you. If you don't handle heat well you should listen to him :) He joked with us and just made the whole experience awesome. Thanks for making a random Thursday lunch a good time, Marcus. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. The food is fantastic and the portions are generous. Prices are very reasonable. We shared the Baba Ganoush to start. This is pureed, baked eggplant. Here tahini and pomegranate molasses were added. I am not a big eggplant fan, but this was phenomenal. The presentation was gorgeous with the puree spread out beautifully on a large dish, topped with olives, paprika, parsley, and a very generous dollop of delicious olive oil. An outstanding version of this dish. We received a large plate of very fresh pita triangles to go with the baba ganoush. These were great. We definitely used them to scrape every speck of eggplant off that platter! We both ordered the Gyro Plate. The gyro meat was very authentic, extremely tender, and very flavorful. The plate included a large tower of savory rice, a rich tzatziki sauce, a nice side of silky hummus, some pickled vegetables, and more pita. Another delicious offering and a huge portion. We also had soup as the entrees come with soup or salad. My friend tried the lentil soup and said it was flavorful and tasty. I had the tomato soup which was hardy and richly-flavored. This was a great meal. There's a pastry case with a choice of many Middle Eastern desserts. My friend selected several to take home and we staggered out of the restaurant with lots of leftovers that will make a delightful lunch tomorrow. A wonderful experience.

The foraged mushroom and brussels sprouts were my favorite. I especially loved the jalapenos on the brussels sprouts one. The hummus itself was creamy and rich and the pita they bring is warm and fresh. The tabbouleh was fine but nothing spectacular and it says it has avocado in it but I didn't detect it. I love muhammara and theirs did not disappoint. The pickled vegetables were nice but I also love pickled anything. Absolutely make sure to get the bright green falafels. Probably my favorite of the night. Perfectly crispy exterior with a soft warm center that I'd eat over and over again. We ordered the duck but I was quite full so did not taste it. The only reason I'm giving 4/5 stars is the scallops were incredibly underwhelming and quite bland. The scallops themselves were cooked fine but no flavor and the pomegranate sauce didn't add much. There desserts were also just so-so.
