So not only did I lose my $41, but I also wasn't allowed to receive the food that I had already paid for. That is incredibly frustrating and unfair. I understand businesses have cancellation policies, but there should also be room for common sense and compassion. Emergencies happen, and I canceled almost immediately after placing the order. Instead of trying to help or work with me, I was treated like my situation didn't matter at all. This experience left me feeling completely dismissed and taken advantage of. Customer service is about treating people with respect, especially when unexpected situations arise. Unfortunately, I received none of that. I will never order from Sahara Restaurant again, and I cannot recommend a business that shows so little empathy for its customers. On another occasion, it was filet mignon, strip steak, and something else I can't recall. Generous portions, as it feeds 2-3 people. Great value. The chef/owner really cares too. One time, we were pressed for time, so we only ate a bit and asked for to-go boxes and a check. He had a very concerned expression on his face and asked if the food was alright. I assured him that it was great, but we needed to go to an appointment. Sometimes there's only 1 person working there (chef/server/cashier/busser).
