Super easy five stars! Yelp search, you really did me right when I searched for a good place for coffee and conversation near Leetsdale and Monaco. Who would have thought there would be such a hidden gem in a King Soopers Shopping Center? Well, think no more because this place is awesome! Holy smokes, everything about this place is fantastic. We had Turkish tea. $2.95 plus a free refill. Butterfly Walnut and also a Pistacio Baklava piece. $2.95. Carrot/Havuc Baklava. $5.95 for a slice of pie-sized piece. Great deal! Anything you order is going to make you smile and your eyes will roll up into your head when you taste it. You know what I'm talking about...that's how good it is. On top of that, the woman who helped us was super nice and made our experience all better. It's very clean and it's a perfect place for a nice conversation. They have alkaline water, and it's free I've never seen that before, at least for free! Nice touch!! There are plenty of savory things to eat. Great place for lunch or grab and go to treat yourself for later. There's no way anything I write could even come close to telling you what a great find this place is. If you're in the Denver area, definitely bookmark this place! I think they have a couple of other locations in the Denver area, so you might be able to find one closer to where you are This is one of my top finds of all time!

I wish the apartment building I lived in had an amenity like this. Having traveled to Istanbul a handful of times and being a self proclaimed bahlava connoisseur I can tell you this place is worth trying. The doner wrap was made to order and was tasty. So was the manti; not something that is easy to find in Denver. The Turkish coffee was also a standout and be sure to order the service because the rose flavored Turkish delight will find my way in my dreams tonight. That's particularly saying a lot coming from someone who generally doesn't enjoy Turkish delights. Service was ok... it's a grab and go kind of ordeal with no table service so I think expecting 20 percent on that is a little lofty.

Great place for casual brunch. Food: The beef borek and cardamom latte were stand out items here at Istanbul Cafe & Bakery. The dad plate had eggs with Turkish sausage, cucumber, tomatoes, olive, and cheese. Borek is a pastry filled with a variety of ingredients like cheese, spinach, or meat, wrapped in filo dough. Service was excellent. I would come back for the boreks and to try more lattes.

People were very nice. Food was great. Location is a bit annoying but I'll be back for sure

Visiting town and was pleasantly surprised with how good the coffee is here as well as how friendly the owner is (assuming he was the owner). A little bit of coffee talk and a delicious beverage to start my day! I wish everyday started this way :) Thank you!

Easily don't skip! A nice place for breakfast or brunch. Wide variety of baked goods sweet and savory. The menu is Turkish/ Mediterranean inspired.. eggs, veggies, dips.. (I'd recommend ordering 1-2 simits as a default) The service is so nice and welcoming. Plenty seating indoor and outdoor. Highly recommend and would try again if I'm in the area.

Really refreshing first meal. I love the whole foods represented on the plate. Cucumbers, tomatoes, olives, oil, warm crusty bread, cheese, Turkish tea and a bite of chocolate baklava to top it off. Super friendly, really understands customer service and making you feel welcomed.

I can't believe it took me so long, but I finally made it to the North Denver location yesterday. It's a cute, clean space- very inviting. I was pleasantly surprised that dogs are allowed- this could seriously be our new favorite spot!! Everyone working there was super nice. I'd already had breakfast and wasn't terribly hungry, but couldn't resist a snack. I had one of the spinach and feta pastries- yum!!!

we ate at the one on 850 s Monaco St Pky unit 9. Denver colorado 80224 A Truly Heartwarming and Delicious Experience The food here is incredibly authentic and full of flavor -- it honestly brought me back to the comforting tastes of my childhood. Every dish was rich, savory, and clearly made with love. The atmosphere is just as impressive: warm, welcoming, and very clean. The bathroom was sparkling -- truly one of the cleanest I've ever seen in a restaurant. A special shoutout to Bassma, who works there -- she is the friendliest person I've met. Her warm heart, genuine kindness, and welcoming personality made the experience even more memorable. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for real flavor, kind people, and a clean, cozy environment

Don't miss this great find! We were driving past and saw the sign for Turkish coffee. He couldn't pass that up! And as long as we're here... The Beef Borek is a wonderfully savory treat with just the right mix is spices. The Nutella Acma was a pleasant bread-y follow to that, and the Baklava is perfect with the coffee. We tried all three - classic pistachio, walnut, and chocolate. The classic is still our favorite, but you really can't go wrong with any of them. The staff is also fantastic. Friendly, smiling, and seem very happy to be here, even on a holiday.

Ground Beef Borek. Menemen. Cardamom Latte. Chocolate Baklava

Food was amazing and service was great! If you need recommendations they are happy to help. My first time eating Turkish food and it was delicious. I was hesitant but it did not disappoint. Give it a try.

Papa's plate

I'm assuming the owner and his wife were extremely friendly and welcoming of all the customers. The food is authentic and delicious. The baklavas are well made with delicious pistachios from Turkey. We had the papa's plate for breakfast and everything on the plate was just perfect. They have sujuk/sucuk sausage. It's hard to come by in a restaurant but is a staple breakfast food in the region. I guess I have to mention the decor is modern and clean in newer mixed use building. Overall, we hope all the best for this delightful spot and wish their business grows. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sujuk

Been on the search to find Turkish manti, so happy Istanbul Cafe opened up in Lohi!! Offering a great range of Turkish pastries, both sweet and savory. Loved the ground beef borek. The baklava was also delicious, sweet but not overly saturated in syrup like they often are. But I came here for the manti which was definitely the highlight!

A gem of an addition to our village in Denver. Superb coffees (and teas!) and a divine offering of baked goods, both sweet and savory.

The staff is very welcoming and helpful. The food is fantastic and the portions are generous. Prices are very reasonable. We shared the Baba Ganoush to start. This is pureed, baked eggplant. Here tahini and pomegranate molasses were added. I am not a big eggplant fan, but this was phenomenal. The presentation was gorgeous with the puree spread out beautifully on a large dish, topped with olives, paprika, parsley, and a very generous dollop of delicious olive oil. An outstanding version of this dish. We received a large plate of very fresh pita triangles to go with the baba ganoush. These were great. We definitely used them to scrape every speck of eggplant off that platter! We both ordered the Gyro Plate. The gyro meat was very authentic, extremely tender, and very flavorful. The plate included a large tower of savory rice, a rich tzatziki sauce, a nice side of silky hummus, some pickled vegetables, and more pita. Another delicious offering and a huge portion. We also had soup as the entrees come with soup or salad. My friend tried the lentil soup and said it was flavorful and tasty. I had the tomato soup which was hardy and richly-flavored. This was a great meal. There's a pastry case with a choice of many Middle Eastern desserts. My friend selected several to take home and we staggered out of the restaurant with lots of leftovers that will make a delightful lunch tomorrow. A wonderful experience.

If you haven't tried a Turkish breakfast it's time you did! My husband and I shared the Mom's breakfast which had so much food that we could barely eat it all. It included so many different delicious things! There was an omelette thing with some thin sausage, a noodle and egg dish with crispy filo on top, part of a baguette (with Nutella, cherry jam, honey & butter) and a bagel-like pastry with sesame seeds on the outside, hard boiled eggs, sliced cucumbers, grape tomatoes, 2 kinds of cheese, 2 kinds of olives...Everything was so good I want to go to Turkey even more now! I also tried their Turkish tea that was black tea with bergamot. But it wasn't at all like earl gray. My husband had to get his usual mocha and said it was nice & not too sweet. I liked the tea with sugar cubes I added at the table. It's casual order from the counter style. The buffet allowed me to try everything - and it's nothing like what you're picturing. There was constantly warm, fresh pita to try the hummus, whipped feta and tabbouleh. There was constantly fresh fruit out with honey yogurt that was to die for. While there was a ton of meats and cheeses to try from, the star of the show was the falafel. You can't miss trying it, it was the best falafel I've ever had. The vibes were great for brunch, and I highly recommend going for buffet style if you want to try a bunch of things on the menu.

The restaurant has this nice open feeling to it with a full bar (you can order off the full menu if a solo or pair dining) and then plenty of tables. I recommend coming with a larger group if you can so you can try lots of things. Servers are nice and attentive. Obviously you have to try various hummus plates. The foraged mushroom and brussels sprouts were my favorite. I especially loved the jalapenos on the brussels sprouts one. The hummus itself was creamy and rich and the pita they bring is warm and fresh. The tabbouleh was fine but nothing spectacular and it says it has avocado in it but I didn't detect it. I love muhammara and theirs did not disappoint. The pickled vegetables were nice but I also love pickled anything. Absolutely make sure to get the bright green falafels. Probably my favorite of the night. Perfectly crispy exterior with a soft warm center that I'd eat over and over again. We ordered the duck but I was quite full so did not taste it. The only reason I'm giving 4/5 stars is the scallops were incredibly underwhelming and quite bland. The scallops themselves were cooked fine but no flavor and the pomegranate sauce didn't add much. There desserts were also just so-so.
