Stopped by for their weekday happy hour which is $1 off draft beer, $6 house wine, $5 well drinks, and $2 off appetizers. We tried the garlic balsamic brussels sprouts which were just okay, they didn't have much flavor and were a touch underdone. I have heard things about The Walnut Room for years and finally stopped in to check it out. We sat at the bar and looked over the beer menu. They have a nice selection of local beers to pick from. We ordered some food and enjoyed the fun conversation with the staff. Everyone from the host to the bartender to even a chef were around and talkative with us. The food arrived and we honestly ordered way too much. I didn't realize 1 slice of pizza was going to be so huge. I would have been fine with just that, but I also ordered some rueben sliders. They were delicious. Like absolutely delicious. I would totally order those again. My only complaint was the bartender overcharged us for our beers and the prices on their beer list are happy hour pricing but it doesn't say that, so we expected them to be cheaper. The staff working here is total chillers! They are super nice and friendly. I popped in to check it out and it's divey but in a good way. They have yummy slices! You can totally customize them too. Five of us came in pretty late night on the last evening of our trip and we were so pleasantly surprised by the service and food quality. The menu was extensive which can sometimes be a red flag, but each item that we ordered came out hot, fresh tasting and delicious! The Fat Bastard was a classic beef dip on nice bread with silky au jus. The flat bread was loaded and another guest at our table had the spinach dip which was well received and had a large portion. Great beer options and cocktails were also well made. Even though it was the end of the night, our server was attentive, offered good recommendations and was just an overall fun guy. It's small and has a local bar feel but their food is different than any bar food I've ever had. If I could give no stars I would, my husband,and I went here to get lunch. Upon entering no one greated us and there was a sign to just seat ourselves. So we did..we sat there for 20 mins just waiting for someone to notice us and no one did. I shouldn't have to ask someone to take our order if there is a sign to seat ourselves! Someone should be looking out for new orders! One of the servers kept walking past us and looking but didn't even bother to say he would be with us in a minute or anything.
