Delish! Yummy yummy food! Great delicious drinks! Pretty atmosphere! Cool bartenders!

Fish sandwich, chicken, poke bowl, fish tacos

Service was amazing! Super nice folks that took great care of us (thank you!) The food was delicious. I'm still thinking about the fish sandwich! The fish was so crispy, and the slaw/pineapple combo was a shockingly incredible complement to it. My friend had the chicken and said it was the best she has ever had (and she's quite the foodie). There were 6 of us in total and everyone loved their meal (and drinks!). We had a great time and will be back!

Ramen, they forgot the pork belly and it had very little flavor. Will Not get again -- 3 stars

Overall experience was B-A-D. Some food was good, most was average, and some was B-A-D. Expensive mistakes on food and the service was so-so to poor : Ramen came without the pork belly in it, and the side of Pulpo came out when we were 99% finished eating all the rest of the food Ratings take into account the overall food quality, flavors, portions and price, with taking into account this is a tourist town. Food specifics: Curry Pork sandwich : great flavor, proper size for the price * 4 Stars Pulpo : we got a side of Octopus since they forgot to get us it. It was $12, and we'd get it again, it was cooked perfectly and had a nice flavor. They dont do anything to it but grill it BUT its done properly and has the proper tenderness and flavor. If you like Pulpo, this is good * 4 stars Ramen : decent but none of us (who all love good ramen broth) said we'd get it again *2 stars Key Lime Pie : pretty average, my wife loves KLP and said she'd not order it next time *2 stars Coconut Rum Chicken : decent portion, cooked properly, but lacked flavor. I expected to be wow'd by the "best dish they make" (according to the head chef). It was expensive for what you got, even when not considering it lacked flavor. *3 stars Don't get.... La Plancha : should be called, "La Rip Off" (look at the photo). My son wanted the lobster... this plate was $45! They way overcooked the small cheap Lobser tail ($5 from any grocery store in CO, I know I live here), 5 cents worth(3-4oz) of cooked white rice, and 10 cents worth (hand full) of mixed greens * minus 2 Stars

Pork Nachos

Good food in Grand Lake. Food was flavorful and came out quickly. Seasoned well, unique flavors for being in the mountains. Drinks were big and strong, though they did take a while to come out.

We were at the grand Lake with family and friends and visited this place. Enjoy the nice hot and warm nachos. Love their beer. The service was great. Everybody was helpful. The ambience is always amazing because it's right next to the lake and it's just a small town in Colorado breeze, tourist and walking around. It's pretty there.

Blackened Mahi Mahi tacos.

Expensive for lunch but I'm guessing everything in Grand Lake is. Service was a bit slow considering they were nearly empty. Looked very nice inside but I sat outside under a covered patio which was very nice and was able to watch all the passersby. The bureau is just okay. I ordered a craft draft and it was nothing special. I will say the rice and beans and plantain that came with the fish tacos were delicious, but the tacos were nothing special and mostly tasted like blackened spice. Worst part was that each taco came wrapped in a flimsy, uncrisped corn tortilla when there should have been two because it completely fell apart when trying to eat it and was a complete mess so that's why they get this rating.

When you are in town for a few days, although you want to try new places, you sometimes still tend to find a "home base." This place was ours. After driving for five hours around a snowstorm, we needed food and drink. This place was perfect. Baxter (also apparently has an alternative identity as Felix) and Jewel were our bartenders, and they made our arrival fantastic start to finish. I had the Island Burger (including the pineapple that comes on it and is recommended) and it was delicious. Burger was solid, but the toppings and sauce made the taste awesome. The wife had the ramen with chicken and loved it. My favorite words together are "house made hot sauce," and Baxter had two of them for me. One was something green and magical, and the other was a maple Sriracha. Their aioli for my fries was also stellar. Service was efficient, personable, and energetic. The IPA they have in house is Hazer Tag. Given we judge our painkillers from The Soggy Dollar in the islands, I would rate theirs as top notch. They also have stickers in the islands that if you do an IG post with it, you get some free stuff next time in. Also, Baxter just bought 500 pens that say "Stolen from One Rum Kitchen" that he was very excited about as a marketing plan and needs help in distributing/marketing globally for everyone's next trip to Grand Lake. So, ask for a pen and make sure you give it to someone in an airport or something to help their cause. Background music made you believe there was a beach outside. If you don't like the prices, make sure to check out their happy hour (3-5 EVERY day), where much stuff is half price. Great value. Kelly and Kayle were also great behind the bar on our return trips. If in the mood for a shot, they have an awesome rum from Barbados behind the bar. We hit up the happy hour our other two days without even hesitating. I definitely recommend this place, and see you there...the next time we are up that way, or when I find those stickers in St. John in August and have to return for free stuff.

Reservations: none, no dine-in. Carry-out only…read more Location: in an industrial lot, can be easy to miss if you're not looking closely, but otherwise easy to find. Parking: easy, in a lot with many spaces. Food: Empanadas - shell was crispy and well-cooked. The shredded chicken filling was good, nothing special but still tasty. Would try a different filling next time. Overall rating 3/5. Cuban sandwich - the bread was thicker and more "sub"-like than many cubanos I have had in the past. Also had garlic cloves in it which was a nice surprise (I love garlic). Came with rice and beans. Pretty good, would get again. Overall rating 4/5. Ropa vieja - comes with beans and rice. Quite salty on its own, but balances out nicely when eaten with rice. Would get again. Overall rating 4/5. Guava & cheese empanada dessert - same size as the appetizer empanada. Delicious! The cream cheese goes very well with the guava and is well-balanced. Would get again. Overall rating 5/5.

We had a little extra time and wanted to treat ourselves to some good food with real Caribbean flavor and culture. My wife had been craving oxtails, so that was the first thing on the list. She ordered the oxtails with rice and peas and plantains, and the plate came out absolutely on point -- tender, rich in flavor, and cooked with real care. I went with the jerk chicken and also grabbed a curry chicken patty and a jerk chicken patty. The seasoning, the flavor, and the preparation were all excellent. Every bite had that authentic island taste that lets you know the kitchen knows exactly what it's doing. The kids enjoyed chicken strips with fries, and they had some great Caribbean-style drinks -- mango passionfruit and guava pineapple. The grown-ups enjoyed rum punch, and I also had a sorrel drink that was refreshing and full of flavor. The atmosphere was welcoming from the moment we stepped inside. Good music was playing with those old-school island vibes, creating a relaxed environment where you could really enjoy the food and the moment. Before we headed out to catch our Uber, I even picked up a dread cap -- black with red, yellow, and green stripes -- a nice cultural touch to take home. The food was magnificent, the drinks were excellent, and the whole experience was solid all around. If you're looking for authentic Caribbean cooking done right, Reggae Pot is definitely worth the visit. Bless up.

Reggae Pot is authentic and delicious. Staff is friendly, inside is clean and well-maintained…read more Checks all the boxes. The jerk seasoning is perfect. Enough heat to keep it interesting, but the flavor of all the spices were distinct, balanced, and beautiful. All of the protein was perfectly cooked. Rice and peas were very comforting and hit the spot. The cabbage side was excellent with quality ingredients. Mac and Cheese was a little strange to me because there was a flavor in there that I was not used to. It wasn't bad, but not my preference. Kind of an unexpected sweetness in there. Goat curry was amazing curry flavor with tender goat with goat flavor shining through. I was not a huge fan of the jerk pork. It was okay, but the fat wasn't cooked out the way I like, and the cubes of pork were just average. The jerk shrimp was a tad salty and sweet, but overall very enjoyable for us. I will definitely be back for more goat and chicken. I am also looking forward to trying out the rest of their menu, like ackee and salt fish, whole fried red snapper, and maybe they can even change my mind about beef patties. I never had a Jamaican beef patty that I liked haha.
