My new "secret" go to spot! Inside the Springhill Suites, Degree once served as the training kitchen for MSU's culinary classes and is now a great place to grab a bite and a drink before heading to an event (close to Ball Arena and a nice jaunt away from Broncos Stadium). The menu is condensed on game days, but don't let that deter you from trying out Degree. The burgers are super, and the service just as much. There's a nice selection of beers on tap, plus bottles and cans, along with seasonal mixed drinks for something with a flair. It's a convenient spot and while Degree accepts walkins, I highly suggest making reservations, especially on event days at Ball Arena. And yes, Degree has tellys broadcasting local and away games. read more

This place is fantastic. The food is delicious and affordable, service is quick, and their cocktails are always fun! We like to come here before a concert, just a short walk from here to Ball and far better than Brooklyn's. I highly recommend their burgers and espresso martinis! read more

It's our go to before any concert at Ball! The service is friendly, the food is always interesting , classic and delicious all at the same time, and the vibe is also immaculate as they always have a playlist going of music from or adjacent to the band you are about to see. read more

We stopped here before a Nuggets game to grab a drink and a snack. Standard bar food. It was pretty busy and they have a strict rule that you can only sit at the bar, no standing so you must have enough seats for your party. Bartenders were friendly and always on top of it to refill our drinks. read more

The food here was good. Service wasn't good. We showed up and there were 5 empty tables and they put us on a waitlist. There were 4 adults and 1 child. We were offered bar seating then we were told the child couldn't sit at the bar. There were some bench seats we sat at for 25 mins. The food took extremely long, we were brought the wrong dishes, wrong drinks, and the check had added items in, so be careful. The burgers were good but not worth $18. read more

This is apparently the place to go before Ball Arena! Make reservations if you can! We had to wait about 20 minutes for bar seats, even though they had empty tables that remained empty the entire time we were eating. They seemed overwhelmed so the service was slow. The burgers were great though! I would definitely go back, but I'd make reservations next time. read more

Service was terrible, and the food was even worse. The guac was brown. The burger tasted like it was a frozen patty. The fried chicken on the pesto was super dry with more breading than meat. Pesto tasted like it was from a jar in a bad grocery store. Had to ask for service from another waitress after the initial order as our waiter went MIA. My first drink was only 3/4 full. Definitely got the sense that people there didn't like their job. read more

We wanted to get a quick meal and a few drinks before we headed over to Ball Area for a concert on this cold spring day tonight. I didn't mind spending extra bucks at this hotel to get the best spot to park so our plan was to park, eat/drink and go. With that said, this restaurant that's onsite of the hotel was the best choice instead of eating at the brewery at the arena. We arrived at/around 5:10pm. We were more than 30 minutes earlier than our reservation time but the restaurant was absolutely okay with our early arrival. We appreciated their flexibility. Once we had placed our order a rush of the concert goers started to flow in. In a matter of 10-15 minutes, the place was filled up to its full capacity. We were hoping that we'd get our food in a timely manner. And we did! As a matter of fact, we were amazed at how quickly they brought our food. Our waiter, Marcus was very attentive to our requests/needs. He even carried on a nice, friendly conversation with us despite the fact that he was busting his bottom to assist more than several tables. This is no fancy restaurant. The types of foods they serve are pretty simple and casual. But we were pleased with the quality of them. Nothing tasted bad. I was actually impressed with how good the salmon on top of my salad was. They appear to know what they're doing; they understand that people who dine there need quick service. This is a very efficient restaurant where they are capable of doing just that. I will definitely go back if/when I attend a concert/game at Ball Arena next time. read more

We meant to have a large reservation with extended family walking over from Ball Arena and the State Championship. So a perfect distance. Even though our numbers decreased, the pub accommodated us with good cheer and excellent service. The food is good, typical bar menu with burgers and really good appetizers. The jalapeño ranch is so good it makes me want to take a portion home to eat. read more

Stopped here for Avs game. Somehow beer, and cocktail were off and appetizers weren't pleasing.

Food is good, service is good, staff are friendly. The French fries are also amazing.

Great burger and appetizers. Reasonably priced and a go to before a Nuggets game. Get there early as it tends to fill up closer to game time. read more

I don't want to write a review because I like coming here and don't want it packed! We hit this joint every dinner before a Nuggets or Ava game. I think it is run by students through MSU's culinary program. They do a great job! Even better is the menu changes with a few items consistently on there. The Brussels Sprouts are the best - ever. We have never had a mediocre meal here. It's a gem. Recommend you make a reservation - you can on Yelp. read more

This is a little bar/restaurant right next to the Ball Arena and Marriot hotel. The service was quick and very accommodating. I'd like to see some more TV's in the bar area, but if that's my only suggestion, then they're doing pretty well! Food came out quick, hot and delicious. read more

What a great experience! Fresh is the word. Great place for after game munchies! Go next season for sure. We stumbled in to a quiet gem with a great varietal menu. Had the hummus and veg plate. Hawaiian pizza and the degree burger. Stuffed pasta was another hit! We were pleased and may I mention the staff. Super friendly and down to earth. The open kitchen concept allows you to see the Sous meticulously creating our meal. Cheers to the night read more

Degree Brewpub - Goat burger. Brussels sprouts Grilled Chicken Sandwich - Brewpubs Near Me - Denver, Colorado

This bar is located in the SpringhillSuites Mariott Downtown Denver at 13th St and Auraria Parkway. Why do other reviews dance around this? About 4 walking blocks from the Ball Arena/Pepsi Center. We went in ahead of a concert at the arena. We had a spiked strawberry lemonade and a Josh Cellars chard. Had southwest egg rolls with jalapeño mayo dip, and a Cali Burger. Tater tots were numerous and great. We were seated at the bar. Sarah took good care of us, but the other bartender couldn't seem to get any beer pints filled to the top. An aggravation to me. A shared espresso martini was just meh. Good food, good service. read more

Nice and quiet spot to hang out if you have a show to see at the Pepsi center! Our waiter was also the bartender and wasn't the fastest moving guy ever so we had to wait patiently at times for his service. Had the ribs and nachos as starters. The former was finger licking good! The latter is your standard crunchy cheesy app. My salmon was subpar which I expected to be. Enter at a casual dining place like this. Oh well, it was overcooked and under seasoned. If you check in on Yelp you get a free dessert - we got the ice cream sandwich. It was ok, both the ice cream and the cookies were a little hard. But ain't complaining for what we got for free! read more

This place is closed on the weekends in July very inconvenient right in middle of the summer

Solid food ! Stronger drinks! Visited this restaurant while were staying at the spring hill suites. It's conveniently located and within minutes to downtown. The interiors are simple, clean and they have a see through kitchen. We reached around 10:30 and were seated immediately, ordered a Manhattan, simple and delicious and ordered the cheese burger with a salad on the side and beef bahn mi burger with Mac and cheese. Both were devour worthy! Definitely worth a try if you are in the Denver area. read more

What a surprise! I am here on business and I decided to walk out of the hotel and grab lunch and wow was I surprised. This is a fantastic gem of a restaurant. I ordered the chicken club sandwich and was completely blown away. It is not a traditional club sandwich. I would highly recommend it as it is probably one of the top five sandwiches I've ever eaten. It's not really a sandwich it is a meal. Absolutely fantastic!!!!!!! Also be sure to order the brussels sprouts. I know everyone is doing brussels sprouts and I have to say these were one of the best. Order the chicken club sandwich. You will not regret it! I enjoyed my lunch so much that I came back later that evening and had dinner. Unfortunately I didn't take a photo of the chicken club sandwich but I did grab one of the ribs. The ribs were great. I even opted for the brussels sprouts again as they were delicious. read more

Great lunch food. Across the SpringHill hotel, to-go orders are fresh and fast. Panini and soup are great. Soup is a little thin with little to no spice, left to be desired. However, the fries and burger combo was great, you probably want the burger, and the fries are delicious. Lovely across the board :) Edit: Tried the pizza today and also milkshake. I love the tangy tomato sauce on the pizza. The milkshake was light not too heavy. Can't go wrong read more

A very solid 4 star restaurant. We were in town for some baseball & stayed at SpringHill next door. We had lunch here & the service was great. Wish I could recall the young lady's name that waited on us as she was great & id like to give her some props. The restaurant & hotel are associated with the Metropolitan school on the same grounds & a lot of the students work in the hotel & restaurant & do an amazing job as they prep for careers in the hospitality industry. But I digress. We had Brussels sprouts to begin. Awesome. The burgers are great, cooked just how you like em. My 2 compadres enjoyed their sandwiches, atmosphere is very cool & the prices are reasonable . For a restaurant associated with a hotel it was very good. Check them out. read more

I would give a higher review because the waitress we had was really great. The food was okay- ( what we had at least) not anything to rave about especially for the price of it. My daughter got a buffalo chicken sandwich and the bread was totally soggy. The issue I have is that I asked for my burger without a bun and just lettuce- and I got charged $3 for a gluten free bun- when I asked about this I was told that they had to charge for the lettuce. REALLY?!! The burger came with lettuce- I got 1 extra piece and I paid $3 for it?? Okay sure guess a piece of lettuce is worth $3 these days. ** I will up my star to 3 because a manager personally reached out to me to let me know a mistake was made and there was a miscommunication between staff about the lettuce charge and adjusted my bill. read more

Degree Metropolitan is located in a hotel. I didn't realized this when we looked it up on a map. We went ahead and tried it. It was a slow night so there was a lot of staff and options to sit. Unfortunately the attention wasn't there that night. We had to ask to order food and it seemed that they were missing their regular bartender and had to fill in to make us drinks. The food was average. I ordered the B.L.A.T. The ladies were friendly, but more interested in the stories they wanted tell each other then engage with the guest. The restaurant was exceptional because of location to our next destination, the Pepsi Center. But I would not go out of my way to visit again. read more

Food was not very good. We paid 25 for a gristly price of steak and bag salad. Service was passable. The room looks like a cafeteria converted to a restaurant. The photos are very misleading. All in all I would not recommend this place. read more

This restaurant is close or maybe a part of the Marriott SpringHill Suites we stayed at. This place has a good mix of food and courteous and accommodating service. I ate here with my family(hubby and 3 kiddos) and we each ate something different. The variety of food offered here would please a group that is indecisive and want varying types of food. It's 4 stars here because I just have a few but not show stopping criticisms. The Bahn mi or "you" that we had here had all the right flavors but the meat was sliced too thick for me and the bread was a little on the tough side. My family and I enjoyed everything else we had: the Colorado Club-flavorful chicken and nice bite to the bread; angus burger-patty was not dry and tasty; Gambas fritas-shrimp was not over cooked and served with a tasty Asian flavored coleslaw. Mary, I believe was our waitress and she was wonderful! Thanks for adding to our positive experience here. Every city we frequent, we find a particular spot to visit and stay, I think we found our spot. We'll be back read more

Ordered the Fried Chicken entree (recipe needs a little work on the spices) but chicken was very juicy and not dry at all. Sweet potato fries and regular fries were good - but these are probably frozen. I ordered our food togo and the service was great while I waited. Would definitely come back to try their flights (beer flight, wine flight, WHISKEY flight) read more

Good place to go before hitting the arena! Not crowded when we went before a concert. That was really nice! Pretty good Old Fashioned! That surprised me a lil bit. I am an OF snob.... Food was good. I had a burger. My wife had salmon. Service was pretty good as well. We checked in and got a free dessert. Had the S'mores flatbread. Also yummy. No real complaints read more

Food was decent, but the drinks were underwhelming, borderline warm. Atmosphere was sub par ...

I had lunch here last week (1/24/17) with a large group (11 folks.) We had pre-ordered our meals in the morning [We were having a meeting next door at the Springhill Suites] from a slimed-down menu to expedite the meal service. Upon arriving, the servers had a difficult time getting the appropriate drinks and meals to the folks that had ordered them. Additionally, the wait staff seemed agitated that we were in the restaurant. There were a few folks eating at the bar when our group arrived and the place was otherwise empty. I had the cornbread salad. It was supposed to contain pulled chicken, goat cheese, cucumbers, dates, tomatoes, sunflower kernels, corn bread, balsamic vinaigrette. The menu price was $13. I don't know what we paid as a group... The chicken on the salad was cold (I think cold was by design) and seemed like it was leftover from three days ago. The salad additionally contained a cornbread roll, a little lettuce, a little cheese and an unnoticeable amount of cucumber, dates, tomatoes or sunflower seeds. The restaurant was clean and it had a hip vibe. However, I'm almost 50 - so hip might not be something I'm qualified to judge... The beer selection seemed to be a plus. Unfortunately, our business lunch didn't allow for imbibing. I don't see myself back here unless convenience dictates and someone else is paying. read more

Great place to have a drink and dinner before a show! Ryan, the bartender, could be the best multi-tasking bartender in Denver! He always saw when we wanted something and was able to incorporate getting it into what he was doing at the time! Tabitha, the manager, was also awesome, finding us a place to sit when the restaurant was getting completely filled up. Their flatbread pizzas were very good, as well! (secret, if you love garlic, ask them to add some garlic oil to the pizza, wow!) Check it out before your next concert at Ball Arena! read more

We were staying at Springhill suites ( across the valet parking) for a concert and decided to go have a few drinks before our concert. The bar seats were pretty full but all tables were empty and the hostess was like " ohhh no reservation" well you can sit out in the lobby area. We were a little taken back BUT said what the heck?! Well OK. There was a large table that sat 6/8 people. We ordered several rounds and 2 sliders that was on the happy hour special. The 4 stars is for KAT our server who was amazing, and checked on us constantly. Thank you Kat ! read more

Degree Brewpub - Special $3 slider and belvedere Vodka and cranberry. - Brewpubs Near Me - Denver, Colorado

This place is located directly in front of the Marriott hotel, literally in front. I needed a quick bite and it was really cold so i decided to walk across the valet to this place. The place was really nice and quiet - i was the only table dining in lol. I don't think its visibly noticeable from outside so its a hidden store. I asked what the waitress liked from here and she recommended getting the mac and cheese with bacon in it so i did. I usually don't have much expectations for mac cheese, but it wasn't the average home-made mac and cheese bowl kind of a thing. It was surprisingly pretty good - like a lot! I understood why she recommended this instead of all the other fancy dishes! Also, don't forget to check in! They give out free dessert! I think i got the strawberry pie? It was a smaller portion dish. Tasted okay on first bite but haha it tasted too much like artificial syrup so i didn't eat too much. read more

Great little place. I just wish we had time to have a meal; the food looked great. We had to cancel our order as did other patrons to get to a concert at the Pepsi Center. Wasn't the fault of restaurant, as they got slammed at the last minute. However, they comped my beer, even when I insisted that I pay. Go here, order lots of food and drink, and tip well; everyone on staff is awesome! read more

I made a reservation for a Saturday at 12:45 with Anna. She even repeated the date and time back to me before we hung up. I called that morning to inquire about parking and the restaurant was closed. I called the Hyatt which is where this restaurant is located and they told me that Degree doesn't open until 4p. I was scurrying to find an alternative before we went to see a show. I even left a message with my displeasure and never heard back. I will never find out if this restaurant is good because I will not give them another chance given how I was treated BEFORE I even went there. read more

My food took over an hour (when there were more employees than customers), and this is what I get for a "grilled cheese". Placing a single piece of Kraft cheese between two hamburger buns is NOT a grilled cheese sandwich.
