Have to update my review here. I've been going to FotM since it opened in Wash Park and to the Highlands one prior. Lately, I've been disappointed. The prices on everything keep creeping up while the quality goes down. I understand food inflation, but coupled with declining quality I'm just no longer a regular customer anymore. The last 3 times I've gone, the fries were very brown on the outside but not overcooked, indicating the oil was old and needed to be changed, this gives them an off flavor that's not good. When done right, their fries are fantastic, however this is a regular issue now. Also, they changed their burger in the past year, something I used to order a bunch, but not at all anymore. It used to be a grass fed patty and now they call this a wagyu blend, but it's awful and tasteless compared to the old one. Additionally, their wings (for some reason only when getting to-go) are either way over sauced, sitting in a pool of sauce and thus get soggy or they're under-sauced. The issue with the oil is really what gets me though. I'm guessing they're dragging it out longer before changing it to save money, but they're doing it at the cost of quality and now they've lost a regular customer. Servers are friendly and it's easy to strike up a conversation with them. I personally love their swag! To go order Sunday night and the place was hopping! Opening the door you instantly smell so many amazing aromas. Outside and inside seating available. Order was ready quick. I have a disabled parking pass and parked in the parking lot in the disabled spot in the alley waiting for a friend. Some guy comes out of the back of the restaurant pushing a trash with a bandana covering his face and sneers "you're not disabled." We stopped by Fire on the Mountain for dinner and really liked the interior vibe with its cute mosaic lighting, though as booth fans, we were a bit bummed that there were only a few. The biggest downside to the service was that my husband's side of fries was brought out way before any of our main food arrived. The standout of the night was my cauliflower basket. The cauliflower wings were great, and I ordered the Buffalo sauce on the side which made it easy to use just as much as I desired. My husband had 9 wings split between Bourbon Chipotle and Garlic Parmesan. The Bourbon Chipotle a bit too vinegary, and while the Garlic Parmesan was good, he actually prefers the version from Buffalo Wild Wings. The wings were also very small for the price. Overall, given the poorly timed service with the fries and the steep prices, which my husband noted was the most expensive wing place he's ever been to... we'd probably only return in the future to try their lunch special. read more

I kind of wished they would just let us pay when we preorder to avoid having to wait in line to pay, I think that would help lighten the congestion up. FOTM continues to be our wing place when in the mood despite now living about 30-minutes away. They are a bit pricier and smaller than other wing places, however, almost every time we've gone we've gotten more wings than we ordered (ex. 10 instead of 9, 14 instead of 12, etc), which is a really nice treat! We ordered 3 of the 9 combos with spicy peanut, raspberry habanera, garlic parmesan, buffalo, and lemon pepper sauces. We also got a 5 boneless jerk wings and the Jamaican jerk sandwich with a side of tots for the table. The tots came out probably 10-12 minutes before the rest of the wings which was definitely a bummer as we were hoping to eat them with the wings, but in order to have them hot, we had to eat them beforehand. All of the wings were great, however, we are unsure of whether the spicy peanut was actually spicy peanut or something else as when it was delivered the waitress said bourbon chipotle, but the sauce didn't really taste like peanut, bourbon, or chipotle... whatever it was it was really good, but definitely a mystery sauce. The boneless jerk wings were huge - more like tenders than wings in my opinion. The Jamaican jerk is my go to sandwich here and it is always fire. The sandwich was decent but the wings were definitely the better part of the meal. They also have good beer deals. I usually love this place but I was really disappointed last time I came. Saw they had a special going on for a pimento dip. I usually love pimento dip but it was honestly kind of inedible? The dip was $12, and came with some bread. I was kinda shocked how small it was when it came out, but I didn't finish it anyway. The bread they brought with it was pretty burnt, so I asked if they had any other bread they could bring out instead. Server was super nice about it but when she brought the new bread out she ran away before I could process how burnt the 2nd batch was as well. It wasn't her fault, but I couldn't get past the burnt taste. Not sure if that was why I didn't like the dip either, didn't really have anything else to try it with as a control (even a spoon). After spending $18 on a single 10oz beer (after tax/tip, but should have paid attention more tbh) I just felt really guilty for trying to show my SIL our fav restaurant and regretting everything I got. The best chicken wings I've had in Denver so far! You pay up front, and they bring the food to you. There's a heated outdoor patio, and overall it's a casual vibe. Service has always been friendly. The food: The wings and drumsticks are a little smaller than most places I've had and they have the perfect amount of meat and skin that's deliciously crispy even when smothered in sauce. The buffalo wings never disappoint. My partner and I both don't love the raspberry habanero sauce, but that's personal preference - I think raspberry just doesn't meld as well in flavor with habanero and chicken the way a more neutral flavor like mango does. They often have new sauce flavors. Most recently we tried the sichuan pepper sauce, and it was tasty. They have an expansive menu of chicken or Seitan wings, chicken or cauliflower tenders, salads, sandwiches, burgers, munchies and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Large list of 16 draft beers displayed on screens. Two patio areas and a bar. You order at the counter, get a table sign and they bring your order to you. I started with the Ari's Mango NA-Margarita with lime & lemon, mango puree, jalapeno muddled OJ, and a taijin rim for $7. A spicy drink. I got the small Asian salad. Very fresh produce with just enough salad dressing. My entree was a basket of boneless chicken tenders (3 with Hot Buffalo sauce & 3 with BBQ sauce) with green chili covered tater tots. Spicy sauces and very spicy green chili. My drink lasted my entire meal. I needed a full glass of ice water to cool down. I saw 2 happy hours (3-6pm and 9pm to close) on weekdays. A great meal.
