My husband and I are visiting from out of state and have been checking out different local restaurants during our vacation. We wanted a simple breakfast spot and decided to give this diner a try. The food was pretty good overall, although the steak was just okay. Unfortunately, the service wasn't great from the start. We were told to seat ourselves, which we did, but then we sat there for about 15 minutes without anyone checking on us. During that time, I asked three different employees if someone could help us. What really made it frustrating was that two other families came in after us, seated themselves, and got served almost right away. My husband and I were dressed normally, so I don't think that had anything to do with it. The diner is Hispanic-owned, and we're Hispanic too, which made the whole situation even more confusing. The most disappointing part was that no one ever apologized for the wait or acknowledged the poor service. I was in east Denver this morning. Several friends go to Ranch House Cafe usually for biscuits and gravy though I am not a fan. They have a typically large diner menu but are not a Greek style diner because I saw a few Mediterranean offerings and no mention of gyros. I was seated at a booth by Bobbi. They have a mix of tables & booths plus a counter. I got the Sirloin steak classic breakfast special ($14.99, regular is $15.99) with hashbrowns, 2 scrambled eggs and buttered rye toast. The 4oz steak was cooked correctly. I got 2 versions of Chuleta hot sauce, which I put on the crispy hashbrowns though you might say they are home fries. Large pieces of rye toast with lots of butter. All very good. Coffee is $ 3.95 with unlimited refills. I added a side of green chile. It had a nice bit of heat with pork and good chunks of chile. They add a non-cash charge. So next time I will pay with cash. I tipped Bobbi $5 cash for excellent service. So all told, a good breakfast for only $27.34; I left at 915am. They had a full house with only a few seats left at the counter. read more

What a fabulous hidden gem!!! Its our new favorite go to restaurant for any & every meal !! 16 bucks for a sirloin dinner. Comfy diner/western themed. OMG the Butterfly tea! The Hollandaise sauce on the eggs benedict was hot & fresh. The big salad was great the vlue cheese dressing was homemade and so thick when I drooped a fried 'shroom into it, it didnt sink!! Today was our first visit despite wanting to try it out for years! Oops! We ordered the breakfast burrito, and the multi grain pancakes along with an extra side of potatoes. The pancakes came with eggs and a choice of turkey or pork sausage, ham, or bacon. We chose sausage links. The service was attentive and quick. Coffee was hot and replenished in a reasonable time frame. We were here around 9:30 on a Sunday and it started off slow, but picked up and filled in pretty quickly. The atmosphere was laid back and easy going. The pancakes were a little doughy and eggs were runny but potatoes were yummy and cooked very well. The burrito was big and satisfying. I love this place! I eat here as many times a week as I can for breakfast. I've heard that the other food is good as well but I just can't pull myself away from ordering their breakfast. Every item I've had has been great but the standouts for me were the breakfast burrito and the best corned beef hash entree you can get in the Denver area. Our waitress served us, but not with a smile. It did take quite some time for our food to come out, which is standard according to our local friends. YUM! The power was out and we had no way to make coffee, so decided to order in coffee...and of course brunch :) we decided to order from Ranch House for the first time via Postmates. So glad we did - breakfast was delicious! We ordered a rocky skillet and a rocky breakfast burrito, with a side of biscuits & gravy. And of course the 2 coffees. Food arrived quickly and was still piping hot. It was delicious - I especially loved the sauce the burrito was covered in. We ordered two different burritos. Both of them were very good. My husbands was a bit spicy, but I had to try it, it was good, but spicy for me. It was not spicy for him at all. Mine was the breakfast burrito, and I enjoyed it. The food was good, and a welcome break from eating at home all this time. The food was made to order, and the order was correct. The delivery was ahead of time too, which was nice. We will definitely order from them again. We like supporting local businesses, especially during this strange time. Our go-to, Santiago's is closed on Sundays, and a friend brought us here, it is his go-to! They both had green chili smothered breakfast burritos with flat sausage patties.
