The Hollandaise sauce on the eggs benedict was hot & fresh. The big salad was great the vlue cheese dressing was homemade and so thick when I drooped a fried 'shroom into it, it didnt sink!! I was in east Denver this morning. Several friends go to Ranch House Cafe usually for biscuits and gravy though I am not a fan. They have a typically large diner menu but are not a Greek style diner because I saw a few Mediterranean offerings and no mention of gyros. I was seated at a booth by Bobbi. They have a mix of tables & booths plus a counter. I got the Sirloin steak classic breakfast special ($14.99, regular is $15.99) with hashbrowns, 2 scrambled eggs and buttered rye toast. The 4oz steak was cooked correctly. I got 2 versions of Chuleta hot sauce, which I put on the crispy hashbrowns though you might say they are home fries. Large pieces of rye toast with lots of butter. All very good. Coffee is $ 3.95 with unlimited refills. I added a side of green chile. It had a nice bit of heat with pork and good chunks of chile. They add a non-cash charge. So next time I will pay with cash. I tipped Bobbi $5 cash for excellent service. So all told, a good breakfast for only $27.34; I left at 915am. They had a full house with only a few seats left at the counter. read more

Better than IHOP any day! We went on a Saturday morning and service was a little slow, once they took our order the food came really fast. We had the sirloin skillet with pancakes and also the French toast with strawberries, eggs, and bacon. everything was delicious, Flavorful, and fresh the homemade chili and the skillet made a huge difference. Today was our first visit despite wanting to try it out for years! Oops! We ordered the breakfast burrito, and the multi grain pancakes along with an extra side of potatoes. The pancakes came with eggs and a choice of turkey or pork sausage, ham, or bacon. We chose sausage links. The service was attentive and quick. Coffee was hot and replenished in a reasonable time frame. We were here around 9:30 on a Sunday and it started off slow, but picked up and filled in pretty quickly. The atmosphere was laid back and easy going. The pancakes were a little doughy and eggs were runny but potatoes were yummy and cooked very well. The burrito was big and satisfying. I love this place! I eat here as many times a week as I can for breakfast. I've heard that the other food is good as well but I just can't pull myself away from ordering their breakfast. Every item I've had has been great but the standouts for me were the breakfast burrito and the best corned beef hash entree you can get in the Denver area. Ranch House Cafe offers a "no-frills" standard American breakfast in a diner type-environment. The diner is certainly older and has that quintessential old-town, run down look from the outside. Our waitress served us, but not with a smile. It did take quite some time for our food to come out, which is standard according to our local friends. We ordered up some breakfast items such as the Mediterranean Scamble, Avocado Vegetable Omelet, and the Huevos Rancheros. YUM! The power was out and we had no way to make coffee, so decided to order in coffee...and of course brunch :) we decided to order from Ranch House for the first time via Postmates. So glad we did - breakfast was delicious! We ordered a rocky skillet and a rocky breakfast burrito, with a side of biscuits & gravy. And of course the 2 coffees. Food arrived quickly and was still piping hot. It was delicious - I especially loved the sauce the burrito was covered in. During COVID-19 Review - for delivery only We wanted to try a local restaurant, for delivery, especially during this Global Pandemic of COVID-19. We decided on Ranch House Cafe. We ordered two different burritos. Both of them were very good. My husbands was a bit spicy, but I had to try it, it was good, but spicy for me. It was not spicy for him at all. Mine was the breakfast burrito, and I enjoyed it. The food was good, and a welcome break from eating at home all this time. The food was made to order, and the order was correct. The delivery was ahead of time too, which was nice. We will definitely order from them again. We like supporting local businesses, especially during this strange time. I like older breakfast spots, this place has a real good menu selection for breakfast and good size portions. It's not fancy or "bougie". Yesterday we went to the Four friends kitchen and we waited 40 minutes to be seated, it was really loud, and the menu had 3 omelette options and they changed $5 for two pieces of bacon. Our go-to, Santiago's is closed on Sundays, and a friend brought us here, it is his go-to! They both had green chili smothered breakfast burritos with flat sausage patties. It was a huge portion, my husband said it was the best breakfast burrito he's ever had. I had green chili smothered potatoes with cheddar cheese, my favorite Colorado breakfast. It was delicious. My friend and I wanted a nice breakfast and since an hour and a half wait at Denver Biscuit Company was out we decided to try something else. I was dog-sitting for a friend and this jewel of a spot was close to her house for breakfast. My friend wanted to meet up and he had had a fun night before so we new we needed good greasy food. They were decked to the 9's. Now you know if granny is coming in her Sunday best, the food is gonna be good. The menu is grand. So grand that I could barely decide what I want because I wanted to try everything. I ended up settling on the chorizo skillet. My friend ordered the chorizo burrito. The portion sizes were huge, but it did not stop me from eating the whole thing. They make the chorizo like I remember when I was little. We also had to order and extra side of grits because, GRITS. They were delicious. They were the perfect consistency and had great flavor. I hate when my egg isn't cooked perfectly over medium. I really think that people don't know how to make eggs at most places. But here, they cooked it perfectly. Service was fast quick and friendly. Our server had one cute pink tank top and some jean shorts that may have been a little too short, but what else do you expect in a dive diner. This place reminds me of the hole in the wall diners I grew up loving in NJ & NYC. It has a pretty good range of food, though I'm partial to breakfast most visits/orders. They do a pretty good omelet that I usually eat as 2 meals. They do a daily special that i've gotten to go a couple of times when I knew I had a busy week. The staff are very nice and it's def a small biz worth supporting, especially now. I'm not sure if they are offering sit-down during this pandemic, but I just found them on grub hub and they offer some great comfort food. I'll definitely be ordering again in the future. read more
