Royal Omelette (with my Wife's hand and fork shown for size scale)
    Steve K.

Breakfast Review Food: - Royal Omelette ($13.74). FIVE eggs, chopped ham, onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, (I added sausage links), covered with American cheese and includes Hash Browns and two slices of toast. THIS is a MEAL! -- I really didn't think I would finish this monster omelette--but I couldn't stop. It is FANTASTIC!! Highly recommended! (photo attached) - Breakfast Sandwich ($6.86). THREE eggs gently folded with choice of ham, bacon, sausage, or Gyro meat, all on a sesame seed bun. -- My wife chose the sandwich with sausage, which is juicy and perfectly cooked. This breakfast sandwich makes all others (McDonalds, Wendy's, Sonic,.) look pathetic). A REAL breakfast sandwich the satisfies. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! (photo attached) Drinks: - We ordered two 8 0z juices (Apple and Orange) and a coffee (self serve). All are $2.99 each and the self-serve coffee is a nice touch. Service: Order at the counter, take a seat, and wait for your name to be called. Staff is friendly, fast, and willing to offer suggestions. Ambiance: A clean, diner-style interior with tables and booths. Overall: Every time we are in the area, we stop here! JUST GO VISIT!

BRUCE makes it happen. We were greeted and had our order taken in minutes flat. This quaint Burger Joint takes you back in time. It is a genuine replica of my local burger restaurant from back in my childhood. The menu is very extensive from breakfast all the way thru dinner. We ordered the Onion Rings done crispy and a Royal Pastrami Quarter pound beef patty topped with American cheese and pastrami with lettuce tomato and a Bacon Burger. All were prepared perfectly and they DON'T skimp on the portions they are huge!!! Come hungry you'll be glad you did!

Nostalgic This place is super nostalgic. It has the feel of an old school burger shop. Great food and excellent service. Drive-thru has a tip jar. I'm happy to tip these hardworking folks.

Our party of three thought the appetizers were so interesting that we made it a smorgasbord of appetizers and drinks for our dining experience. By now, average foodies have experienced what Culinary Dropout is all about and yet I humbly and honestly admit the fact that I was a virgin until I for the first time experienced it today on July 16, 2026. In a way, it was like celebrating a super belated birthday of someone I know. This Denver location is rightfully located in this one of the newly developed residential areas that used to be a desert (lol!!) With a blink of an eye, all sorts of businesses popped up within the last 5-10 years or so. First and foremost, what a spacious restaurant this is! Very modern with some casual sense but upscale at the same time. All 5 of us were taken all the way back to the u-shaped booths that is at the "Converse sneaker" decorated wall near the restrooms. Our waiter was John. His impeccable friendliness with expert-level server skills was quite notable. His timeliness in giving us a moment or two so we could decide what to drink/eat, checking back on us to see how everything was tasting etc. was almost AI-driven accuracy. For food and drinks, I am just going to speak just for myself. I got... -Vida Verdita which is a non-alcoholic cocktail that has a good amount of kick in it with pineapple with green appearance and -Roasted Salmon; the portion is a bit small and yet overall it tasted good with perfect medium-ness. Vida Verdita is one of the best NA drinks I've ever had in a while. This minimal consequence beverage is $9 as of mid-July 2026. If you want to steer clear of being drunk but want some energized push to get your night going then I highly recommend this NA drink. Roasted Salmon, on the other hand, was lacking exceptional quality for the price of $31. It wasn't bad as it was prepared in the perfect medium texture but I found it a bit boring so if spending $30+ on a mediocre plate is your pet peeve, then this "run of the mill" dish should be avoided. I feel that they should add more ingredients such as broccolini (yes, something green (not just some cilantro leaves) needs to be added to the plate.) In conclusion...did I walk away being super impressed after dining at Culinary Dropout Denver tonight? No, not really. And yet I wasn't disappointed either. Overall, my experience tonight sits somewhere between 3.5 and 4 star level. It was an occasion for our monthly "girls' get-together" and it's my understanding that we will meet at this place next month again. I will thus explore more on the menu by trying something different.

And we haven't even touched the atmosphere, food or beers. Fifty stars. We will be dreaming about their Extra Special Bangers and Mash for months to come. Weekly specials will also give your brain a run for its money - as in so many great choices. I had a fruity sour beer and then switched over to a cocktail. They do both well. My guy had several IPAs and thought each outdid the last. Even though every table was full by 12:15, the staff was hustling. Our server checked on us multiple times and our Hoffens Burgers were excellent. There was plenty of goat cheese, avocado and roasted red pepper. Definitely crave worthy! I loved the curry crema dipping sauce and ate it with my fries and burger. It was very loud for about an hour and then the place began to empty out and the noise level was more tolerable. I noticed they had some specialty cocktails that were new so I'll be heading back soon to try those. Quick additional tip: We tried to go to dinner at 5pm tonight (granted it's a Saturday) and even though the restaurant looked almost empty we were told it would be an hour wait for our party of 6. I feel like we could have eaten and been out in that time but we weren't given a chance. The hostess didn't seem very sorry to see us leave so I'm rethinking coming back any time soon. First time not being welcomed there. So my tip is - even when you think a restaurant is casual - MAKE A RESERVATION. (I really didn't want to eat there twice in one week anyway ;)

The Hubs ordered the Smoked Pulled Pork Sandwich that comes with bourbon bbq sauce, creamy coleslaw and pickles, and is served with fries (although he swapped out the fries for more slaw). Everything was delicious! I had my burger cooked medium-well and it was perfect; it was still slightly pink inside and moist. While the burger was very tasty, one major plus was that it was also structurally sound (all the ingredients stayed inside the bun and the bun didn't fall apart)! The Hubs also enjoyed his pulled pork sandwich. I tasted the bbq sauce and the slaw that came with his lunch and both were amazing (I dipped more of my fries into the extra bbq sauce that came with his sandwich than I did into the comeback sauce). The fries that came with the burger were crispy, not greasy and not overly salted. While I only had an iced tea with lunch, I did peruse their specialty drinks menu. Wowza, is that a read! We'll be back sometime soon for dinner so we can check that out. BTW, their food menu is more than burgers and sandwiches and there are some nice sounding items that appeal to me more for dinner than lunch (two examples (1) Hoisin Ginger Tuna: Sashimi-grade tuna seared rare, parmesan risotto, arugula slaw, (2) Pesto Cream Salmon: Pan seared salmon crusted with parmesan breadcrumbs, penne pasta, pesto cream sauce, cherry tomatoes, roasted red pepper). Despite this restaurant's location next to a boarded up vacant restaurant and being right next to I25, the interior is surprisingly nice and welcoming. And our server was friendly and helpful. So no complaints here!
