My wife and I visited today at 1:45pm. My wife tried to order the 1/4 lb hamburger, fry and drink combo that was on their window and they said it's only available after 3pm but we can still order it all at regular price. My wife said yes, that's fine, we'll take it, no cheese. I ordered a cheeseburger only so the young girl asked if I wanted a fry and a drink and said, no. I intended on sharing my wife's fries and I carry a water bottle so I already had water with me. They called my name when it was ready but the tray only had two burgers on it. I said we should have a fry and a drink and the young girl who rang us up chimed in behind the lady handing me my tray and said "I asked you if you wanted a fry and a drink and you said no". I said we ordered the combo on the window and another kid jumped in and said it's only available after 3pm. I said I know, but we ordered it at regular price. The young girl chimed in again and said the exact same thing, "I asked you if you wanted a fry and a drink and you said no". I told her that we ordered the combo which comes with a fry and a drink and AGAIN, she argued that she asked if I wanted a fry and a drink and I said no. I explained AGAIN that what we ordered came with a fry and drink and yet again she argued back with the exact same rebuttal and then my wife chimed in and said "it's ok, let's just eat", so we sat down and ate our hamburgers (only). Now, they did try and make it right but they should have shut the young girl down before it escalated the way it did. Sorry, but I know what we ordered and I hate to say anything about the younger generation but there was no respect or willingness to accept a mistake. All she could do was sit there and argue like a 14 year old would do. I saw the lady, the young girl and a gentleman in the back talking about it and the lady came over and said it was a misunderstanding and gave us drink cups and said they'd make us a fry. We declined the cups and fry, ate our burgers and left. Burger was good but it's a shame how one person can screw up an entire experience for someone. Food can be good but all it takes is one person to screw it up for everyone. Hence the reason for a two star review. I don't agree that the customer is always right, but to sit there and argue exhibits a high level of immaturity. A great little burger shop near Glendale. My friend had this place on her list of must try so of course we had to try it. It has a small parking lot so you might have to park on the street. The staff was amazing! They could tell we were a little overwhelmed with the menu because we have never been there and they helped walk us through it. I told him I just wanted meat cheese and bun and he was able to make that happen. I also got a milkshake and french fries. The burger was cooked to my liking and very juicy. The steak fries were hot and fresh! The milkshake was cookies and cream with a vanilla base, which is exactly what I love. I think overall, it was a really good burger place and if I'm in that area of tunnel, definitely go back if I'm craving a burger. read more

Went there tonight after waiting several months to decide. Had a Royal Double cheeseburger, and everything was great just like the reviews state. Burger patties are never frozen, cooked only when ordered. No kiosk!! What a novel idea? Friendly order-taker, recognized as soon as I entered. Confirmed my order twice, and then again when I picked it up at the counter. The burger came with cheese, which was actually melting over the patty, unlike any other fast food place, sesame toasted buy, lettuce, tomato, onion and 1000 Island dressing. Neatly double wrapped, too. The fries were great, and so hot they burned the roof of my mouth. Inside is very welcoming, great menu choices and when not taking care of customers, the help was wiping down the tables and seats, instead of being zombies, like other places. Great no frills old school burger joint. I absolutely loved it. The royale burger with pastrami and thousand island might seem like a gimmick but I went with it and it was legitimately good. Okay, Crown Burger, where have you been?? I heard you could get an actually good burger here for under $10, so obviously I had to investigate. I think this thing was around $8 WITH TAX, and it was legitimately fantastic. Fresh ingredients, hot, messy in the correct way, and it tasted like real food made by actual humans. Service was great too. The part that got me: I walked out, looked across the street at McDonald's and genuinely thought, dude... why is anybody going to McDonald's when THIS is right here? You can spend basically the same amount of money and get an actual burger instead of something that looks like it was assembled during a hostage situation. And apparently I live dangerously close to Crown Burger, which is excellent news for me and potentially terrible news for my self-control. I think I just found my new neighborhood burger spot. 10/10. I can only describe it as finally being able to relive what life was like when I was little in the late 2000's/early 10's. The burgers are awesome. A lot of smaller joints have that issue where half way through it's too much beef flavor in your mouth and you get overwhelmed. Not here. I don't know if it's the lack of seed oils or where they get their beef from but it's perfect all the way through the meal. They are a staple of Denver and one of the best meals for the price. If you want to truly spoil yourself, get the pastrami burger. You won't want to eat for three days because you'll be so satisfied and full, but it's absolutely worth it.
