Haven't been to the Dam Grille in years. Walked and and were warmly greeted to find a seat anywhere. It's your typical sports bar with a variety of entertainment (TV and Pool) and drinks (any kind of booze your heart desires). Dam Grille offers cheap drinks and from what I saw from the menu, good, cheap bar food. The decor is hilarious, with taxidermied deer heads and a spatoon and fish tanks with a variety of fancy fish. Fun place if you're looking for a sports bar in the DTC.

Haven't been to the Dam Grille in a while. Bartenders are friendly and ready to serve spirits and beer. The liquor selection isn't the best, but that's how they can afford to offer drinks at cheap prices. Decor is eclectic with fish tanks and taxidermy with googly eyes. Wednesday is Ladies Night, 5pm-close with $2 '360 Vodka' drinks--a headache waiting to happen. There are plenty of TVs and pool tables at this neighborhood sports bar.

We went to The Dam Grill for drinks and to play pool. For a sports bar the drinks we good, but nothing special. We did love there pool area which was very clean and we had a lot of fun playing pool. We did order chicken nachos which were not good--they had fake cheese on them--definitely would not order again. The bathrooms were really clean, and the service was really good. Matt the manager who was also our sever was not only friendly, he had a dry humor we really appreciated and we enjoyed talking to him. Great place to play pool!

Great dive bar. Stop by for a night cap with Wings. They also make amazing dirty martinis. Fried mushrooms/ nachos and burgers are a must as well Added a picture of the chicken nachos that were massive?

They lure you in with a buy one get one free offer but then require you to purchase an highly overpriced drink, so its not worth the hassle. The food was fresh and hot but nothing special, just regular bar food. The foul odor of stale cigarette smoke hits you in the face as you walk in like being kicked in the face by an MMA fighter. Although the bartender was polite and friendly and apologized for the stink.

We were looking for a place to catch the DU Hockey games and they had them on!! Great service, super friendly people and very attentive!

This place is weird and magical. Food's a 4, everything else is a 6. The service is spot-on, the atmosphere is really enjoyable.

The place is more of a bar with a pool table and lots of TV's but the food was great and so was the staff. Worth going for a casual outing.

The burger was $18 and honestly just average. Nothing about it justified the price. They advertise a "Baja sauce" as part of the burger, but when it came out there was barely any on it. I asked for more and got charged $0.50 for it. Same thing with ranch for the fries (not house-made), still charged extra, and they didn't even bring it out with the food after I asked for it when ordering. I had to remind them, and there was no apology, just a drop-off like it was no big deal. The fries portion was light, and overall the food just felt like corners were being cut while still charging full price. Soggy fries. Dried out burger. Service was inattentive across the board. When I asked for my last drink and the check, they forgot the check entirely. I sat there another 15 minutes waiting until I had to flag someone down again. That shouldn't happen, especially when it wasn't busy enough to justify it. The environment didn't help either. It's loud in a chaotic way, not just energetic sports bar loud, but TVs everywhere, kids running around, babies crying. On top of that, people were smoking right outside the entrance, so you walk straight through that to get in. One of the more frustrating parts: the metal chairs at the high tops scratched my $250 Patagonia jacket. Then to top it off, the blue pen they gave me to sign the check leaked ink all over my hand, which got on my jacket and car afterward. That's just careless. Only positives were that the beer and whiskey prices were reasonable, and the drinks themselves were fine. However, I took a risk with places like this because most likely they haven't cleaned their beer lines in years. Overall, this felt like a place that charges like it's better than it is, but cuts corners on both food and service. I won't be back. Not worth the $50+

The bar itself is small with an even smaller stage, but where it lacks in size, it excels in everything else. There are clearly a good amount of local regulars that go there and for good reason. It feels like a place that will remember your name after one visit. The alcohol selection seemed decent (I can't say for sure as I am always happy with cheap beer) and although I didn't try the food there, my bandmates said that the hot dog was really good and the birria grilled cheese is to die for. I will make sure I go back and try them both! If you are looking for a good time at a local bar with good people, Papa's Public House is your place! Unfortunately, Slattery's misses the mark on all three. The Guinness is consistently disappointing. Anyone familiar with Irish pubs knows that Guinness requires proper technique and patience to pour correctly. The results here are often subpar, which is surprising for a place that prominently advertises its Irish roots. The menu leans heavily toward generic sports bar fare rather than traditional Irish cuisine. The overall experience is also inconsistent. Service can be good one visit and disappointing the next. Food quality varies from visit to visit, and the restaurant often feels loud, crowded, and not particularly well maintained. My most recent visit was especially frustrating. I took a client out for dinner, and the patio tables were dirty when we arrived. Between four beers, one appetizer, and two burgers with fries, the bill exceeded $130 after tax and tip. That price might make sense for a high-end restaurant, BUT NOT AN IRISH PUB. It does not make sense for average bar food. Nothing about the meal justified the cost. Add-on charges for sauces, and even credit card usage only make the value proposition worse. The biggest issue is value. This is supposed to be a neighborhood Irish pub, not a Michelin-starred restaurant. Dining out has become expensive everywhere, but charging premium prices requires premium food, premium service, and premium execution. Slattery's consistently falls short in those areas. If you're looking for authentic Irish food, a properly poured Guinness, or a reasonably priced pub experience, there are better options in the Denver area. Save your hard-earned money.
